  1. Absolutely agree. Davis looked far better after Wylde came on aswell. Gives him a different type of option when he has the ball seeing as Wylde is more likely to make the run in behind the defence, stretching them a bit. With Diouf and Healy, everything was in to feet, and it was just too tight for Davis to carry the ball any great distance. Wylde changed that almost instantly.
  2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/9415727.stm Wlad has pulled out of the fight with Chisora due to 'injury'. Surely this means the Haye fight will now go ahead in July. It has to happen!
  3. Cheers mate. Bit surprising, I was speaking to him last weekend and he said he will still a bit away from fitness. Just shows how stretched the squad is I guess. Decent player though, could be a useful option towards the end of the season if he can get back to full fitness.
  4. where did you hear this mate? I though Shinnie was injured.
  5. Foster was our best player tonight. I'd say he's the only one who got close to pass marks.
  6. I was over in Munich in January and managed to take in the Bayern - Kaiserslautern game. There were four of us and we got tickets outside the ground, no problem. We paid about 45 euros each for tickets that had a face value of 40 so it wasn't too bad at all. I'd imagine Germany would be a good bet anyway, seeing as just about every stadium in the Bundesliga is huge. Plus the standard of football is excellent. I'd thoroughly recommend it mate.
  7. Did anyone see the Nonito Donaire fight at the weekend? The guy is an absolute superstar. He's the king of the bantamweights, without a doubt. Stunning victory over Montiel. Check out the finish on YouTube, superb left hook. Some murmurings about a possible step up to 126lbs to fight Juanma Lopez next. Now that would be epic. KO potential at any moment.
  8. It's Ian Brines. I am not a fan of any of the SPL refs but this guy is easily the worst. His decisions are consistently baffling.
  9. Very encouraged by Bartley's debut, looks like he will become a very important player for us in the next few months. Great to finally give a team a bit of a doing aswell, its been a long time coming.
  10. hahahaha that is brilliant.
  11. Haha that's an unbelievable shout! A 25 year old Gavin Rae looked about 40 anyway, so it works on a few levels. Still like the Shooter McGavin shout too. In all seriousness though, great news if true.
  12. it's callum murray. No chance of him stamping his 'authority' on the game. Another horrendous ref.
  13. Relatively pleased with his debut, he definitely gives us another option. I thought he looked good on the ball and kept it simple when he had to, which is not always easy on your first game. As a few have already mentioned, Hearts kicked the shit out of him and he still got up every time and got on with it. That was nice to see. He will need more of that calmness on Sunday, when that clown Scott Brown leaves the boot in on him. Callum Murray better give him some protection from the first whistle! In saying that, there's probably more chance of me getting to start centre mid for us than that happening. Diouf playing just off Jelavic could potentially be very good. Looking forward to seeing them in action together.
  14. 2 changes from saturday, although not sure who they are. Hopefully Jelavic and Weiss in for Lafferty and McCulloch.
  15. £500k and £20k a week for Kris Commons would have been a monumental mistake in my opinion. He's always injured and only performs in flashes. Not much better than someone like Gary McSheffrey. For that money we could have tried to get Adam Hamill from Barnsley. He's a far better player, with a much higher sell-on value.
  16. The nearest train station is Milngavie mate. It's about a 5 or 10 minute walk away. Usually free to get in aswell, although it's been a while since i've been to a game down there.
  17. I'm sorry but Adam Rooney is nowhere near good enough for Rangers. Not in a million years. I'd love for us to cast our eye slightly further afield than these shores if we are in fact looking for a new striker.
  18. Watching a player like Jamie Ness break into the first team is so exciting, he is a fantastic prospect. I also like the fact that he's left sided, gives us a really nice balance in the middle of the park. Left footed players always look that bit more classy don't they? He's has got a real elegance about his play. I can see a bit of the Fernando Redondo's about him. Cultured left footed centre midfielder. Obviously he has a long way to go but I've got high hopes for him. Another good performance today.
  19. He's definitely right footed and plays on the left. Scored some cracking goals this season and would be a steal at £500k. The type of player we could have for a season or two then sell back to an English club for a few million. This is the way forward for us, rather than wasting money on players like Beattie. Players with no sell on value at all.
  20. I can't even understand how there's any debate about it. A certain red card. Idiotic challenge.
  21. I agree mate, he has produced very little that has made me think he might stake a claim for a regular place in the team. Even today, he didn't seem desperate to get on the ball, whereas Ness just oozed class when he had it. I accept that playing out wide doesn't help him but his touch, technique and even pace all look rather suspect. Would much rather have seen Wylde come on today.
  22. Your point is that he won't make it to the top unless he can play well at left mid? That is quite strange logic to be honest. What's wrong with him playing well on the right or in the free role just behind the striker? Surely that proves a whole lot more than how well he does when he gets shoe-horned in to an unfamiliar position? Maybe just playing players in their proper positions would be a better idea anyway.
  23. James Beattie isn't even on the bench. What is going on with this guy?
