  1. Thing is, his development will be undoubtedly stifled here and hes knows the proper coaching and mentorship he'd recieve at Man U. Fleck will turn out a good player, but not the player he would have if he was elsewhere, so we might actually get to keep him.
  2. Im going, but I dont see it being a sell out.
  3. Great post. Been thinking though, if Fleck starts, we lose but he has a great game. I could imagine Walter being like "well thats the last time I do that" and going back to the 'safety' or McCulloch or Adam.
  4. Prob wont Bring him on that early 'Too Risky' to play a kid Aw man get this pair out before they ruin him. Play him Striker or just behind, no doubt he'll end up a left back with this mob. If they had the lads development at heart then Id understand, but I really think Smith cringes at playing someone this age, he'd rather play a "more experienced" passenger. I understand what Ally's saying but I just dont trust Smith to give him a proper try, hes wasting all our young prospects.
  5. This means hes definately not starting, just trying to make sense of the inexplicable and hope we dont flip the lid. Why are they so against playing him?
  6. Fleck should he leave in 3 or 4 years could fetch us the Scottish Transfer record x 3. Keep your head down son, dont get big headed. Do your thing.
  7. If Fleck doesnt start at Pittodrie - then I think Walters distain for youth will be clear.
  8. Worry thought, whats more worrying is that your probably right.
  9. Bump... Id say MacMillan, but not until next season (as hes on loan ). I would really like to see Ness get a run out though.
  10. Jamies Ness (18 now should be seeing him). Cameo for Wilson? Others?
  11. Hes much more valauble than Ferguson But I wouldnt get too excited about post-injury Thomson. Im imagining much reduced mobility and a knee problems for the future. Tin hat on, Just being realistic. Hes done in both knees in his career.
  12. Miller and Boyd will play up front against dons. Fleck wont start at left mid either. Would love him to start though, hes ready. Should play him up front tbh and Naismith on the left.
  13. The spl is a terrible and boring league. Hes right. But a dick for saying so. Good player though.
  14. Its exciting to think that we have a young Scottish player who is reagrded as a better player than a highly rated Spanish u21 International. Is Aaron's loan just for the one year? Edit: its two years, seems a bit unusual if Valencia rate the lad. Do we have a buying option? not that we could afford him.
  15. Fantastic though, can't wait to see him in the hole or up front also should he get the chance. No reason he shouldnt stay in the team, offers so much more than Adam. Could we have a genuine, potentially world class scottish youngster at our club?
  16. Move Fleck upfront, play him off the striker and play Aaron left midfield Thats far to obvious/clever a move for WS.
  17. Highly rated, but I cant imagine WS making much use of a 17 Centre half, think thats one posistion he'd especially want an old head/converted striker.
  18. I believe it when I see it, typical annoucement to pander to our cries for more youth in the team.
  19. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/displa...d_his_break.php [ b]Fleck in line for Rangers break by Bert Mitchell WALTER SMITH today revealed that Rangers young-gun John Fleck is ready to be unleashed on the SPL. The highly-rated 17-year-old came on as a sub for Kris Boyd in Tuesday's 2-0 Homecoming Scottish Cup win over St Johnstone. That appearance was his first since coming on for the dying minutes of last season's final triumph over Queen of the South at Hampden. Reports today claimed that English giants Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs are all showing an interest in Fleck and promising 16-year-old stopper Danny Wilson, who was also on the bench at Perth. advertisement But Rangers are determined to push the duo into the first team picture and make them stars of the future - and they will not entertain moves from Premiership predators. Smith said: "John is getting closer to the team all the time and he has been training exceptionally well in the last month or so. "He has been playing well in the bounce games we've had and we're just about ready to give him an opportunity to play. He is deserving of that. We just have to pick the right time and make sure that everything is right for him. John's a strong lad and I think that helps him. It obviously helps us too in our decision to bring him along. "He is getting to the stage now that when we're having discussions about team selections, his name has been cropping up all the time. We have a difficult run of games coming up, but I don't think he'll be hugely fazed by that. "The one thing about him is he has a good attitude and there's a good level of confidence there as well. We'll see more of him in the near future." Fleck has played in a variety of positions for both the Under-19s and reserves over the last couple of seasons, but the Rangers manager has no doubt that his future lies as a striker. The Ibrox gaffer added on RTV: "John is a striker. Such is his ability, he has played in a number of roles recently in much the same way as Steven Naismith has for us. He has been used all the way across the attacking positions because he has a good touch and good control. "He can link up well with other players and I don't think we're too far away now from giving him a chance to show what he can do." Smith confirmed that there was no fresh interest in any of his players despite a pressing need to trim his squad. He went on: "We have had no other offers. It is all speculation, but essentially we have the same group as before the window opened so it is a case of shutting out the speculation. What we need to do is focus and concentrate on what we have to do." Sources at the club say there will be no move for Fulham's Northern Ireland international defender Chris Baird, who is the latest name to be linked with Gers. Publication date 16/01/09 Ill believe it when I see it
  20. I would be close to tears if we have to endure Smith for another season. He is on the verge of wasting our best young player in a long time and watching us at the moment is murder. If hes out in the summer, then Fleck just might have a chance at salvaging a career.
  21. Assuming WS is here next season? Perish the thought.
  22. Not mutually exclusive. Fleck etc would win us the league. And if we lose it this year by playing the same duds, and then again next year. Where will we be - we will have kids with no first team experience at like 20 years old, and Celtic will continue to win as we dont have the money to replace our shite/old players.
