  1. Both hopefully but if I had to choose it'd be Celtic. We can't afford to be 7 points behind at the beginning of October.
  2. Some are stepping down and seeking re-election, others aren't. What of the other Board members who aren't seeking re-election? "The RST Board wishes to announce the following changes. David Edgar is stepping down as Vice-Chair and will be replaced by Gordon Dinnie. David will remain a media spokesman and a committed and highly valued member of the Board. Due to work and family commitments Fraser Martin is being replaced as Secretary by Andy Cumming but will also remain on the Board. The Board would like to thank David and Fraser for all the work carried out in these roles and are delighted that they are staying on the Board. We also wish Gordon and Andy all the best in their new positions. Stepping down from the Board is Graeme Hanna. We thank Graeme for his contribution in the last year. Following John Gilligan’s resignation earlier in the year this left two vacancies. We are delighted to announce that we have co-opted two new Board members, Kenny Park and Glen Kane. Both gentlemen have vast experience of business and are, of course, committed Rangers fans and Trust members. We are looking forward to working with them and are sure they will make a significant contribution to the running and development of the Trust. Additional changes and opportunities will be announced in the next few days." That was more than 2 weeks ago. What additional changes, COTW? Some people were considering their positions on the Board and we thought we might have to seek new Board members but that isn't the case now. Were these new Board members elected, and if so, by whom? There will be 4 people up for election at the AGM. I see. The announcement just made it seem that these Board members were already in place. Is there anyone standing against them or is it just a formality of electing the only candidate for each position? Three people are stepping down completely, one person is seeking re-election and we have three applications for Board membership. It probably will be a formality but you never know. Also the appointment of two co-optees has to be ratified.

  5. 'Website Directors' really should know better. I see you haven't taken me up on my offer. Sorry......don't intend to. Disillusionment set in some time back when I was shunted to the back of the 'need to know' queue. Now I don't take that as a personal sleight, but business-wise and PR-wise for the RST it was a cutting-their-nose-off exercise that was highly avoidable. As for the website directorship thing - are you asserting that all the website directors should sing off the one hymn sheet and that the RST is above criticism? Right, I see now who you are. Yes it was highly avoidable but there was a lot of turmoil at the time as you know. There was nothing deliberate, probably more of a misunderstanding than anything else. Very unfortunate. I made the offer to search your details as I was concerned that a current member did not receive notification. I'm not saying the RST is above criticism but petty comments and cartoons from bitter ex-RST Board members isn't what I would expect from someone in that position. If that accusation (in bold) is directed at me Coop, I'd suggest you rescind it immediately. A: I haven't made "petty comments", at the start of this thread I asked a legitimate question. I'd found out on another Rangers website (not FF) that the AGM was this weekend. Now that was genuine news to me. B: Cartoons? Where. If a smiley is no considered a "cartoon" then I'm further up the Kyber than I realised. Lastly, the "turmoil" to which you refer only really happened last summer, or indeed, the lead up to last summer, my "out of the loop" experiences go waaaaaaaaaaaay further back than that and indeed I was reliably informed by a couple of RST spokespersons (DE for one) that this situation would be sorted. It never was and the disillusionment set in big time. PS. C: Still a paid-up member as far as I'm aware....or can you confirm different? If I'm now lapsed, trust me...........I'm not upset about it. No it wasn't aimed at you, I'm sorry you took it that way. If you have renewed since April then you are a fully paid up member, if not then you aren't.
  6. Some are stepping down and seeking re-election, others aren't. What of the other Board members who aren't seeking re-election? They are stepping down from the board and we have applications from potential new Board members.

  8. Eh about 500 yards up Edmiston Drive on the same night. Whos functions that? RST Christmas party at Ibrox. Just happens to be on the same night. Thats a real gutter Hopefully the RM Loyal all turn up Ours will be a sell-out, not sure about the other one. Ticket sales are going very well. It's not a competition. I'm sure both will sell out and be great nights.
  9. Some are stepping down and seeking re-election, others aren't.
  10. Tut Tut. Have you not read page 942 paragraph 67(i)b of your Website Director manual? Frankie spent at least five minutes writing the thing. Give him some respect, dude. And anyway, what is this 'secret offer' to which COTW alludes? I think we should be told. So secret it's on post number 8 on this very thread.
  11. Let's just say your response was lacking a certain charm or empathy to my question. It was a direct answer. If you want charm get on a fkn dating site. Perhaps your ilk are the reason that RST numbers are falling! Probably one of the Gub's clique! Actually, numbers aren't falling, they are up from last year. Sixteen weeks on working on a "new database" can do that if you try VERY hard. But back in the real world, you're having laugh if you think that one's gonna stick. Planet make-believe or what? Have you got those numbers yet? Maybe we've gone up to 150.

  13. No but that is why we pay our season ticket money in the first place is it not?

  15. Could you translate that into English please? basically it translates as 'good times, rock on!' and thats what is needed! The good old days - when I was 16.
  16. It could easily have been arranged but as someone who has contributed to every fans display, both financially and helping to set them out, it tends to be the same few fans doing it time after time. It's all the more annoying when you hear people saying they are bored with them. The Club should be adding £1 to every season ticket and handing the money over to the fans groups to organise these displays rather than relying on a few hundred guys on FF contributing the money and then selling the images in the Rangers shop (Inter Milan).
  17. Yes, even though most of the 9IAR team will be in their 40s I reckon they'd give them a game.
  18. Yes, you're not having a good day, are you? I don't know the percentage of members that live in the West of Scotland is the simple answer. Perhaps if I can find the time I'll try to work it out. Regardless of when we have the AGM, it will not suit everyone. It isn't really getting later each year. In 2006 it was on 1st October. People unable to attend have the option of submitting a question or proposing a motion either by e-mail or to our PO Box. There have been none submitted by e-mail so far, I'm not sure about the PO Box yet. Neither, it would seem, are you. Or the RST Website is hopefully inaccurate. "August 2006 News Archive 23 August 2006 Trust AGM Reminder Can all our members please note this year's AGM will take place on Saturday 09 September in Partick Burgh Halls from 10.30am (for a 11am start) till 1pm (Rangers play Falkirk at Ibrox that day KO: 3pm)." I'd already checked the dates before asking the question. You can pick the AGM any time you want next year, because I won't be renewing. By the looks of it, I won't be the only one. Bar one or two trouble makers, most people (including myself) are genuine in raising concern about certain issues. If you can't take people at face value and do your best to be civil, then it doesn't inspire me to renew. I honestly can't remember, the minutes say it was 1st October so somebody has made a mistake. Hardly a hanging offence. What made you join/ renew this year and then decide not to renew next year? Why not go on the RST website and complain?
  19. It's amazing what a new database can do. I've heard conflicting reports of the current membership numbers, does the new database give you the correct amount. If so can you tell me the numbers. Was thinking of rejoining again but one of the things putting me off was being kept in the dark about the things that were going on within the trust. The Trust website is and always has been no use as it's never updated and not being a member of FF I never knew what was going on. Have you looked at our new website? Didn't realise there was a new site. Just had a look and it does look much better than the old one. Plenty of info but only been running from the start of the month so I would hope this is kept up. Certainly does look good and I'll be keeping an eye on it for updates. can you tell me current membership nos. ? No agenda just curious. You ask the question that cannot at any price be answered. You will be ignored...........or lied to. I offered to answer it for you previously and told you why I wasn't prepared to post numbers on an Internet forum. You declined my offer. No you didn't, what is it about the truth you have so much problem with. You have never once answered my question about RST membership numbers. Neither have you ever told me why you can only communicate in the shadows with whispered lies that can always be denied. What is it about RST membership numbers that embarrasses you so much you cannot openly reveal the truth? Please, stop the silly lies and cloak & dagger bullshit and just tell the Rangers community what the RST actually amounts to. Or would that finally blow the myth that the RST is of any significance at all? I think we all why you keep refusing to publish membership numbers and your continuing silence only reinforces the utter stupidity and irrelevance of the clique who hijacked the Trust a couple of years ago. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just say it's obviously slipped your mind. Just for clarification, are you saying that I didn't PM you, offer to telephone you or meet you prior to a game to discuss the issue?
