McColl Woodburn Cox

I would go for Iron Curtain team. First saw them as a 10 year old in 1947. My favourite player was Woodburn, he would be a star even now.

The 1960 European Cup Final Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt at Hampden they said 127,000, but think more than that. Great game as Real won 7-3, football at its best. At couple Scottish Cup finals with over 130,000.

Scottish Cup 49 / 50 we beat East Fife 3-0. Greatest defence ever, Brown, Young,Shaw, McColl, Woodburn, Cox. Their manager Scot Symon. Over 100,000 there. We were a great team then. Let's hope those days come back/

I watched the Iron Curtain as a boy and young man. Brown, Young and Shaw, McColl, Woodburn and Cox. Great days for defending. Cox played left half with us and left back for Scotland. Tom Finney said he was the best defender he played against. If you look at that defence, how many were manager of Scotland? Get well soon Sammy, wherever Tully is, he will remember you.
