Burleys biggest achievement was getting Ipswich promoted and finishing 6th in the EPL the following season. He's a good manager at his level, but he doesn't have that passion that can get a mince side like Scotland to perform. I feel sorry for him. There was no way anyone coming in could top what Smith and McLeish achieved, no chance. And, if he bottles it and leaves, theres no way anyone else would come in who'd be any better. In short, we blew the easiest chance we've had in a long time to get to a major finals by finding ourselves in a group of diddies (Netherlands excluded!) and will still find ourselves 3rd or 4th.
