Nike own the company AFAIK, but they won't merge it with their Nike brand, that would defeat the purpose of them buying other brands. They aren't interested in the only sporting brand being Nike, they're interested in making money, the more the better & one of the ways for corporations such as Nike to increase their profits is to monopolize their market. Think small town with 5 pubs. If you own them all, you don't have competition, but you don't call them all the same name. Ok, I'll shut up, since I'm starting to talk pish.

Me too, but it was Furman's choice, not ours. I'd definitely rather have a good quality youngster than Daily, but that's all very subjective. All in all I think Furman has possibly made a bad choice.

I think we'll get bids, but I expect & hope that he's still here next season. We'd have to pay a huge amount of money to replace him with someone who scores as many goals every season.

One of the things that really gets to me about what happened is that the plods knew fine well before today's event that something was going to kick off & yet they did sweet fanny adams about it. If they were actually well organized & doing their jobs properly at the event they would have had it completely under control, but as usual plod is just there to have another easy shift earning stellar coin while looking on in typically dumb fashion as shit gets out of control. Ok, so they stepped in & ended the problem, but they didn't prevent it & more importantly, they didn't prevent what should have been a great day turning into a total shambles. Strathclyde police should be utterly ashamed at their abilities as highly paid servants of the people.

Exactly as I said further up this page! It was a set up! And if that's the case, then they're fucking set up worked a treat. The Republican scum made the wee flyer that's posted at the start of this thread available online, not so that they could gather troops for their anti-British protest today, but so that they could set_us_up!. They knew fine well that their wee plan would work when news of it reached here, FF and other sites. So, what was the outcome? The outcome is their wee setup worked in the sense that it provoked the very reaction that they intended, which was for trouble to break out at the Armed Forces event & for the event to be marred by the shite they intended to instigate. As I said before, they knew beforehand that they could provoke a reaction & partially ruin what should have been a great day, but with the outcome of us unintentionally publicly making ourselves look as hate-filled as them merely by falling into their trap instead of having the foresight to see what the scum were playing at to begin with. I was reading this thread yesterday & I totally knew the event was going to end up being ruined by this pish. Well done to all.

I personally believe that the scum who planned this fully intended to provoke a reaction from us that would be picked up by the press & have us portrayed in exactly the way the press have portrayed it. It was no meaningful or well organized protest by them. Just a snide wee stint designed to provoke us & the cunts obviously succeeded. We Should Know Better.
