I dont post much, prefer to read...and there are some good reds on here. But, I just cannot stop a wee, ironic smile cross my face when you are all going on about him. Please read back this thread and think. We slag him off for going on about Hateley - who i happen to think is a cunt most of the time, but thats just my opinion - then we proceed to have numerous repliees going on about....him! Lafferty Fleck Novo Broadfoot Whittacker IMO none of these guys are good enough to play for Glasgow Rangers FC. I would even go so far as to add in Miller....he is OK in the SPL, but we need players who can make the step up to play in Europe. I think I am right in saying that our performances in the last year or 2 in Europe have been far from good... Just my opinion...

For me he is an SPL player, no more than that. The chance he had with the header should have been buried...it was not a difficult chance for a good striker. To be fair to him the service was appalling. But I do expect him to take chances like the one he had...what more does he want....free header in front of goal, and he puts it well over. He is a tap in specialist that is all.

Too old...I hoped last season would have been his last....I fear going into the CL with him at the back..

He was caught out badly for the 3rd goal...but lets be honest, the quality of opponents is way beyond anything we will face at home in the spl...CL is another matter...I like him, but sometimes he tries to play too much football at the back...just fuck it out, sometimes thats all that is required!

I think bringing on the younger guys is the way forward for us.... We cant go out and spend big nowadays, so this is the obvious answer...about time Murray Park started to produce what we all hoped it would!

The timing of my post may be strange...but as I have stated on other threads, I am not a card carrying orangeman, I am married to a catholic....but my team is rangers.... I have many friends who are catholic and celtic supporters. I dont "hate" them...and never will. Hate is a terrible burden that will eat you up and only leave you bitter, twisted and angry at everything. Last I seen this was a free country where people can be friends and socialise with anyone they choose, regardless of religion or cultural differences.... ....got to say it m8....its guys like you who are holding our club back and bring bad publicity upon us. Dont you realise that, without "them" as you put it...we would not exist. both half of the old firm need each other. They make so much money out if it. Also...read your history m8...when celtic were formed, protestants in glasgow suddenly needed a club to identify with as the irish catholics had one in Glasgow, in celtic and one in the east, hibs. In 1912 harland & wolf opened and brought over many men from ireland to work. looking for a club they chose us as we were nearby, Queens Park were the biggest club at the time.....it was around that time that we "adopted" the loyalist support...and grew since then. So, given that situation, without celtic forming in glasgow...we would not exist in the guise that we do today...out history and traditions would be completely different. so go away you bitter, twisted little man and allow our club to move forward! Rangers were formed in 1872 and offically formed in 1873...Celt*c was formed in 1888...so Rangers were formed 16 years before Celt*c, so I don't understand what you mean from that sentence <cr> Yes, we were formed long before them...but it was not until around about 1910 - 1912 that the protestants in glasgow wanted a club to call their own...as I stated in earlier post, catholics and irish catholics had celtic. In the east they had hibs. So, looking for a club, they chose us as we were close to the shipyards and the irish loyalists who worked there, wanting their football, chose us as we were local to them. Its not too difficult to understand.
