  1. I fear that you are correct, just hope it doesn't cost too much (time or money) to get rid of him.
  2. Whyte has proved to be a fantastic distraction for Murray and a perfection deflection for any criticism, almost too good to be true some might say His failure to pay tax in particular meant that he has taken much of the flak and opprobrium from the media that deserves to be shared by Murray. Unfortunately I fear that Murray will still not be viewed as the villain in all of this, as Whyte will be forever remembered as the man who put us into adminstration.
  3. Interestingly its the prominent players from the offending period (the Advocaat era) who have been quick to distance themselves from any collective responsibility in this problem. I remember an interview with Advocaat essentially saying that the financial problems were not his fault and De Boer saying something similar about him and his fellow Dutchmen. Any fair-minded person would not blame either the manager or the players from this era, yet despite that fact, very little of the blame has shifted where it is deserved, onto Murray. And so much of this is to do with, the relationship between Murray and our players and staff of the last 20 years and their continuing refusal to say a bad word against "Sir" David
  4. I think the problem is that too many of them have been "tainted" by the Murray brush. Even genuine club legends like Walter and Gough still have too much loyalty towards to Murray to criticise Murray or to involve themselves with fans groups who will. Still I would have hoped that the nature of our situation would have meant a greater degree of public support from legends and ex-players. Even the Legends game, which surely presented the perfect opportunity for such statement produced only tired, predictable responses along the lines of 'with this kind of support Rangers are "too big to fail"'.
  5. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2132974/Brian-Kennedy-Blue-Knights-hijack-Bill-Millers-takeover-Rangers.html Would certainly be the best outcome if it did come to fruition. Fingers crossed
  6. We have been in adminstration now for over 2 months and yet we have heard very little from club legends, who with a few words of positive support could do wonders in uniting the support further, in this time of need. We have Ally McCoist who is doing his very best to keep the fans and players (nevermind himself) going in this difficult period, but his role as manager means that he cannot really pin his colours to the mast with regards to bidders etc. In this situation we need our club legends to speak out, on behalf of and with the backing of the fans. Clearly, those who genuinely love Rangers must have a view on adminstration, bidders etc, but yet we don't hear from them This should have been happening from day one of the adminstration process, but unfortunately far too many of our idols have too close a friendship with Murray to be seen to be taking the fans "side" in all of this. Anyone from the nine-in-a-row era is very unlikely to criticise Murray, or jump onboard with those who do.
  7. David Hillier (the tim ) said as much earlier on. He talked particularly about Whyte's role in the takeover process and how he will not want liquidation because of the huge scrutiny that this will place upon his takeover, his conduct during his stewardship and finally his role in our move into adminstration. I just hope that this proves to be enough of a disincentive for those who hold our future in their hands
  8. Don't worry, soon we'll all think of him as the man who saved Rangers
  9. If I had some dynamite, I would make sure I didn't miss Super Score Board
  10. Miller is the only one left in at the moment. Ng pulled out accusing admin and Ticketus of moving the goalposts, but said that he may bid again if the other bidders fail to agree a deal. Miller has released a statement saying that he has had no discussions with Ticketus or Whyte, and calling on other bidders to stop talking, and has suspended his bid til Monday in order to give others a last chance to bid. Miller's bid will be £11.2m including the £500k exclusivity fee, which he will place on Monday. The main part of Miller's plan appear to be a twist on a newco, where by our trophies, history and assets would be transferred temporarily to an "incubator company", whilst D&P try and sort out a successful CVA. If a CVA is successful, then the assets would be transferred back to the old company. It has not been said, but the inference from this is that if a CVA is not successful then we would be looking at the straightforward newco route. Also his bid is conditional on receiving assurances from the SFA/SPL that there will be no loss of history and no points deductions and other sanctions next season. This could be the major sticking point, as there is no way that they will agree to such conditions. I think that is essentially it, but there may be other things that I have missed
  11. Its pretty clear that Miller's bid is going to fail on the issue of assurances of SPL/SFA. They are not going to give any assurance that we will not be punished. For that reason I can still see a bid from either or both of Ng and TBK by Monday.
  12. To be fair, at this point they have a pretty good reason for not naming a preferred bidder, that is because there are no bidders at the moment.
  13. I think that's unlikely considering that there are essentially no bids on the table any more
