I agree to an extent, but at the same time we need to make it clear that we would rather have Smith et al. I don't think he is likely to accept a £1m pay off now if he thinks he can walk away in a years time pocketing £10-15m
They can't legally enforce a registration embargo anymore, regardless of whether they water it down or not. They are able to ban us from the Scottish Cup or suspend/terminate our membership or give us no further punishment. They fucked up royally and are now suffering the consequences.
We can't technically sign anyone because we are still in adminstration. However, the decision has been referred back to the appeal panel who will apply a different punishment, but the registration embargo is no longer an option open to them.
Grant Russell @STVGrant FIFA said just before verdict passed that Scottish FA will be told to take action so club "withdraws its request from the ordinary courts". Just tweeted by the guy above.
