I thought the chief executive Garry Cook was a total embarrassment. The way he was speaking was bizarre, as though he was trying imitate Obama or something.

Team for Celtic - The Acid Test
clelandhattrick replied to broxybear's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
If we're still 4 points ahead I would take a 0-0. -
We could really put a run together if we win our next 3 league games, once we're past Celtic we have a fairly easy run of games. Also we have the Scottish Cup third round and League Cup semi to come. By the time we face Celtic on the 28th of February we could looking at a fairly epic unbeaten run in three competitions. Or we lose to Hibs on Sunday and we're in crisis again. Whatever!

Win next 3 games and Title is Ours...
clelandhattrick replied to djgazbcm's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
At the halfway point last season were we not 7 points behind? It's waaaaaaaay too early to count chickens. -
I'm somewhat pessimistic regarding the game at Parkhead. We only just won at Ibrox two months ago and Celtic have looked good in recent weeks. Actually, fuck them. We'll win 2-0.

I'm now looking forward to next years CL

If we draw with Hibs next week, draw with Dundee United, then lose to Celtic, we'll be fucked again. You'd think we were 20 points clear the way some on here are talking. -
Ronaldo said that he could've joined us in either 1997 or 1998 on a 'play the OF games and whichever other ones you want' deal. Imagine that.

Dunno about the Aberdeen game, but Motherwell played quite well by all accounts. We were pish away to Motherwell earlier this season. We didn't deserve a flattering comment after that horror show. A high profile mistake in the biggest game in Scotland. I have no doubts he would've brought it up had the incorrect decision been against us and we had lost the game. But then, one can never prove it one way or the other. I don't think I am ignorant. I think your "truth" is just paranoid tim-style shite, but it's all opinions. No bother. Cheers.

Well, he was born in England but grew up in the ROI. I'm guessing he'd consider himself Irish but who knows. Celtic apparently played well in both games. One must give credit where credit's due etc etc. It's pretty common for managers to praise their players to some degree after a defeat. Mowbray is notable in that respect in actually specifically criticising his players, and look where that got him. Nothing to do with Gannon. And, while I think it's a bollocks idea, there's a fair amount of 'how to improve Scottish football' articles in the papers, mostly filled with similar nonsense.

FFS he brought up Thomson because it was a high-profile error by a ref, thereby fitting into his 'the refs are pish' lecture series, nothing to do with him being Irish. Get a life people.

The Lion Rampant looks cool but the flag looks quite squat I think.

Dean Ashton officially retires

Why exactly was his injury so bad? A broken ankle sounds like the kind of thing which should heal pretty easily, no? -
James Richardson on Carlo Ancelotti

ESPN went for Ray Stubbs ahead of Richardson? Fuck me. -
Opinion on Rangers bluenose going to watch celtic

I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree. To stress again; I have never been to Celtic Park. I have answered a hypothetical question. I view Celtic the same way I view Aberdeen, Falkirk, Cowdenbeath, Sporting Gijon etc. etc. Some of the people on here make Celtic sound like the greatest, most terrifying presence in the world of football. To me they're just another club that will never be as great as the Rangers. Cheers. -

You make them sound impressive and intimidating. We are the Rangers. Celtic are just another club. That's my point. -

They are both football matches not involving my team. I see no difference. Nope. As opposed to what? Fighting them? Performing a citizen's arrest? I would rather watch my beloved Rangers, but I'll watch a game between two other teams if need be. No need for insults, monsieur. -

Chill the fuck out. I have never been to watch Celtic. I live in the Highlands and I cannot get to any games. All I'm saying is: if somebody had given me a ticket for the Celtic v Hapoel game on Thursday, and I was planning to be in Glasgow anyway, I would have gone. I am a Rangers fan but am happy to watch any football. Whilst on holiday abroad I went to a Portuguese cup game. What's the problem? -
A random question. Did anyone travel overland to Vladikavkaz in 1996? If so; legend.

I wouldn't wear a bloody Celtic top or anything, or even want them to win, but I'd quite happily go to one of their games. I like football. -

God, this takes me back to December 1997 when we found out we would play Brazil. Oh, how I yearn. -
The Gaelic for badger is "broc" so the name is authentically Celtic. It irritates me how our rivals are called Celtic, as though they are the true bastions of Celticness (whatever that is). There are plenty of Gaels that support Rangers.

A friend of a friend left his mother's funeral early to go to an Old Firm game. -
If Guardiola had Steven Pressley, David Hagen, Gary McSwegan, Sandy Robertson, and John Morrow, do you think Barcelona would've won the treble last season?
