    Favourite Game Type

I miss "war" from world at war, by far the most fun game type.
  2. Tyson hit harder than Liston IMO, and there wasn't much between George and Iron Mike, both had 1 punch KO power so pretty irrelevant anyway. Who have you got beating a prime (circa Cleveland Williams) Ali? Joe Louis? He'd get bewildered by movement ala Billy Conn except Ali would be hitting much harder and faster for that matter. Surely not Dempsey or Johnson? Nah mate, a prime Ali is as formidable a heavyweight as theirs been. Edit: just seen the " Ali wading through treacle comment" Lol, watch this shit.
  3. We have a small squad granted but fuck sake, talk about making life difficult. Laff is consistently poor no need to elaborate on Mccullochs ineptitude and Weir needs benched for at least most of the season now. Webster, jela(still returning to fitness so this one is kind of moot) and Davis could and in my view should be playing in the positions of these dudes. Cost us today.
  4. Aren't you forgetting Albertz, van bronkhorst, numan and micheal ball, Edit: just noticed Albertz and Gio have already been flagged up.
  5. Had been up in dundee having having a blitzer in my mates student gaff and after waking we got ready n jumped into the motor to home. we turned the radio on to find the tims up 1-0 . As you can imagine we feared the worst and promptly switched it back off again. We then proceeded to drive home singing , kind of in defiance, to ocean colour scene - songs for the front row. Our blissfull ignorance was only broken when my mates bro phoned just as were taking the cut-off for larkhall (home) . We quickly put radio back on to confirm the miracle . As we arrived back into larky car horns were tooting all around we then abandoned the car at the first opportunity and headed to the pub which turned into a street party at the bottom cross . Amazing day
  6. Good fight from Froch, got his tactics spot on. Kept the work rate up and and the jab in Abes face all night. It's a flawed defence when you put the earmuffs on and use no head movement as soon as someone lets the hands go. Dirrel laid the blueprint and Froch followed it to perfection. It'll almost certainly be a good fight against Johnson where I'd take Froch to win but it wont be easy against the road warrior. Ward wins the tournament though. I think Froch was very unlucky against Kessler where the raucous hometown crowd definitely played it's part in the scoring. Dirrel actually had a better case for claiming a win against Froch and Ward has similar tools to Dirrel only slightly better with a good deal more balls.
  7. With a good atmosphere and a high tempo driving on the team, we have proved beyond doubt we can trouble anyone at Ibrox. With Bursapors' fate sealed Walter would have been beyond reproach if he'd have went gung ho. Unfortunately I think saving face meant more than glory to our ultra cautious management. Logic seems to be being replaced by caution these days, even when there is absolutely nothing to lose. Go figure.
  8. Weiss should be played on the side which allows him to hit the byline which is the right. Smith never plays people in there correct poisition.
  9. Was at the game last night in broomie front atmosphere was good but could be better mostly due to a lack of variety, if we could get this going with some volume that'd be awesome. Build my gallows was the most successful song from last night primarily due to the drum keeping everybody going and in synch. if the drummer could get some clearly defined beats for other songs we'd be away. The drum is far batter than the old brass band who used to drown out most attempted songs. Blood n thunder is great but a wee change here n there only adds to atmosphere I think this ole song would be great for that.
  10. I agree almost completely with the OP with the exceptions being swapping Whittaker for weir on the list, Whit has scored a fantastic amount of goals this year - which he won't get close to next year - but general play is no-where near good enough especially positional play, which gets made excruciatingly obvious come champ league time. If we are genuine about building a proper team, inaddeqate players must be replaced regardless of being league winners or not. Currently the bulk of the squad is not up to it. Mate the squad has just won 2 in a row, so how they not up to it. I'm afraid winning the Scottish league these days mate, does not a good team make. In the current climate a good Scottish team is judged in Europe. I'm afraid we're the best of a very bad lot at the mo', a very bad lot! Last years champ league campaign was by far the worst ever and unless there is the forementioned clear out of inaddequate personel next season will be the same. That is, of course unless the manky mob get there act together which would leave us with the same cracks only minus the paper. Btw when I say clearout I mean these players must be replaced by more capable individuals. The fact that finances are nil doesn't alter the need for change, just the means.

  12. Just pissed myself Reading that, nice one.
  13. Ibrox, I'm afraid is filled with mostly over 40's who seem to enjoy sitting for 90min shaking their head and complaining about almost everything, and rather than creating an atmosphere to inspire their team and intimidate the opposition this type of so called supporter is actually detrimental to the cause. Due to my commitment to actually playing football myself over the last 10 years I don't have a season ticket but have usually went to mid week games including euro ties, to illustrate my point, on 3 separate occasions during said European nights ( which used to boast excellant atmos) I've been asked to be quiet when trying to sing along with another stand that's managed to get a song going, and on one occasion the dude making the request cited the fact the he was in his season book seat as if to add authority to his pathetic cause. I love a good sing song especially when most of the stadium gets in on the act but unfortunately that feeling is all but extinct at ibrox, negativaty reigns!
  14. Positional sense!! Whittaker a defender lacks hugely in this area. When a team sets out to defend and counter like we did tonight and like we did successfully in the run to the uefa final you don't expect to be caught 3v3 or 2v2 at the back which happened frequently tonight, primarily due to Steven Whittaker. Although I think he is our most incompetent first team player, clearly kenny miller and mculloch are inaddequate too. Lafferty is out of position and still getting match fit, but the others are simply not up to scratch.
  15. Whittaker was caught out of position time after time, but what's more worrying is that this happens when we're playing defensive and containing football actually making it look like we are a man down. Yet, what's even more baffling is that apparently short sighted people (smith included) actually praise such uneducated performances!!
  16. Scott Brown, the latest headless chicken to be hailed as an £8mil worldbeater! Recently compared to Gazza, defies belief.
