  1. The funny thing is, one goal and they'd shit themselves.
  2. Hahaa ha ha. Edu is our version of Charlie Chaplin.
  3. Goal was very reminiscent of Hoopers. Izzaquire getting in front of fullback hooper hungrier than out cb's gets there first for tap in. Same story again.
  4. Cheers lads. Just the info I was after.
  5. I'm spending this weekend in gay Paris, I wonder if any of you well travelled Bears would know of a suitable watering hole in the district which would perhaps be showing the game on Sunday?
  6. For most teams taking a 0 - 0 result back to their home patch would put them in the driving seat, however we are so impotent offensively and have such a negative approach to every game that I still feel PSV have the upper hand here. We'd need to press and attack to turn this result into an advantage, sitting deep in such a precarious situation is very very risky and nerves will show. As soon as a goal is scored in this tie now, they will then have the benefit of a draw. That ain't good with our style and mentality.
  7. I agree with this but considering his age and inexperience, I am encouraged.
  8. No they're just taking that victory for granted and looking beyond. Always dangerous to tempt fate.
  9. Khan/Bradley being touted as a done deal. Here is where Khan makes a bid for 140 dominance and a genuine shout for a Mayweather fight, if old man Floyd hasn't retired that is. July 23rd supposedly, although I should think Mccloskey will say differently.
  10. Seems like the most likely scenario, they have all shamelessly targeted el hadj from the moment he arrived, management, players, supporters and all. It would be criminal and embarrassing if no-one stood up to them. If this is indeed the case, Ally has tonight, went up a notch in my estimation.
  11. This may indeed be a valid point but in the event that said leadership is absent, any group forming which increases the numbers of people willing to be vocal is in the short term good and should not be shouted down in IMO.
  12. This thread is indicative of the problem. Most saying good luck and the likes but at the same time ridiculing and arrogantly sniggering at apparently genuine and much, no, desperately needed improvements. One group, two groups, if Ibrox is jumping again, fuck it I'll take ten groups. Track suits, replica shirts, who gives a fuck, let them wear tuxedos if the want. Ultras, top flights fuckin titelists, "oh they have the wrong name, let's laugh at the pesky teenagers". Ibrox is filled with this elitism and it's smothering the place.
  13. I was a big Torres fan, huge puncher, was unlucky v prime Cotto. I think he would have won here if he hadn't have caught that huge headbutt which proceeded the right hand. In the referees defence, I think on this occasion he as only picking up the count as he got down low to check Torres out. Which he most certainly was. No I mean more like this:
  14. If people on this forum thinks Glasgow Rangers F.C doesn't utilise simple ball retention exercises in training then they are about as clued up as mchulloch is silky.
  15. I love the way the old time referees used to issue the full 10 count regardless of the condition of the stricken fighter, it was almost comical, at times dudes were almost lying in state and the referee would continue on, 4,5,6,7 totally undeterred.
  16. He just edges out Whitaker in my book. Bunker nut broadfoot is better than both.
  17. I actually think 4-5-1 is the correct formation to play in Europe. That formation can be as attacking or defensive as you like, but obviously when Walter fills the 10 outfield positions with 6 recognised defenders and 0 recognised strikers the onus is on the latter. Think how potent it could be if, like many other top teams do, you use wingers on the flanks of the midfield 5. Then consider that, of the 3 central midfielders, one could be deployed in behind the striker to link and support. Used in this manner the ultra defensive 4-5-1 can, in the blink of an eye be very very positive. Walter gives this formation a bad name. IMO we don't have the cash nor the youth system to field players capable of beating top European sides at their own game, thus, going 4-4-2 would likely lead to a return to a good result here and there but mostly early exits and heavy defeats in Europe. Morale of the story being don't blame the formation but aim for the people purchasing and selecting the people to fill it.
