  1. Miller should have been subbed at half-time; he was okay in the first half but in the second half was gone. Holt is a player signed when we were in the Championship, and if we have any ambition as many of the players from that time should be moved on, quickly; Tavernier excepted.
  2. A bit extreme to say he has been poor. Has been on top form, perhaps not, but by no means has he been poor.
  3. Apart from Wilson and Barjonas that we know about, I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas was next in line, with them, to make the step to the first team squad. A very composed looking player on the ball.
  4. I agree with that completely, and Murty is now in a situation where he has a match coming up that becomes a must win for us and him. The naivety in this whole thing, from Caixinha's appointment till now is testing what this board is made of, and it is not looking good.
  5. What is becoming clear is that Murty is out of his depth; it is unfair that this has become an issue because beyond one or two matches he should be back with the unders. Having Murty for this length of time is becoming a bit of an ask. We need a new appointment soon, like yesterday.
  6. He played a nice through ball though; had that led to a goal we would have been saying how good he is. Small margins at times.
  7. Alves has blown hot and cold, if he left I wouldn't miss him. If his heart is in this club then I've yet to see it, and I would expect a lot more from him. Not our worst player, but nowhere near what he could offer at times.
  8. But you "understand" why it has taken this long. This is a football club, you appoint a manager, he fails, you replace him; what's to understand? If we have a board who are overwhelmed that they might make a mistake then we don't have a very good board. Improve on the last the appointment; it's not that complicated.
  9. That might depend on where you eat? You give this board more than just the benefit of the doubt, I get that, but I don't understand why they are taking this long. We had a chance to exert pressure with them still in the CL, and we have drifted back making it much easier on any pressure they may have had. This board should have done its homework months ago.
  10. If I went out for a meal with someone who worked in the catering trade and they took 45 minutes to decide what they wanted for dinner, it wouldn't give me a great deal of confidence in their ability. Four weeks nearly, and not even a clue who we will end up with?
  11. That is fairly comprehensive and says it all really.
  12. I think the reality is hitting many of us now that this club is no way anywhere near challenging for the foreseeable future.
  13. I was thinking that myself, but how many season tickets would that sell, and at what price?
  14. I agree amd I wouldn't go that far, but senior players can carry clout, and whatever happened under Caixinha something appears not to have been right between the manager and the player, for whatever reason.
  15. You don't for one moment think players don't have clout in a dressing room do you?
  16. Hererra, like him or not, has not had a fair chance to prove himself. I'd like to see us at least have a better chance to find out what he can do. We could also play three in the middle, and one striker; maybe try that. There are alternative options to Miller quite possibly.
  17. Hopefully, one day someone intelligent will sit back and write about the whole of these past few decades in the club's history and put the whole thing into perspective. I think that may be necessary, but maybe that day has to be in the future to make that perspective a very fair reflection of that time.
  18. You'll appreciate more than anyone that you can't just do it sometimes for Rangers.
  19. Hmm, I disagree with you on some parts, and I agree with something in your post.
  20. The thing I like about debating with you is that stand your ground, and so there was Murrayfield, but Miller is not doing that often enough these days, whereas in the past it was a regular thing. Yesterday, yet again, he drifted back, and not only that but drifted wide and then back; he goes to places where he doesn't have the play to do so, and on numerous occasions a move will break down due to his poor distribution. We agree to disagree.
  21. No way, I can't agree with that. Overall his play is not great, and over a season he offers very little. I was a big fan of his his second time here, but he isn't the same player anymore. Hopefully he will be moved on in this window coming up.
  22. He really didn't, and when he went off we lost that spark of energy he brought going forward. The goal is coming, I just wish it would have come in that first half.
  23. Which made him being subbed all the more difficult to understand.
