  1. Did anyone else spend the match thinking 'I wish big lee was still there cos he'd have won x,y,z, only to feel both stupid and delighted at the same time? btw bougherra's wink, legendary! Kevin Thomson, has to be captian next season.
  2. Scottish first, Rangers second, British last. Very very close though, had to remember what it was like watching my country play and get pumped at a world cup, as opposed to CL (which is a farce imo).
  3. I was under the impression that the protests were because the club was not telling us anything, and so people are left to infer peoples job/motives that yield no information. I don't blame Muir or the bank for the situation, but I'm annoyed that I really have no idea if I should (blame the bank), or if I should direct my ire towards MIH.
  4. Damn, someone beat me to the Mowbray gag. Personally I think it's perfectly fair as they played a reserve team, if we did that against Barcelona at the Nou Camp because we had the scum a few days later I for one would be bloody raging. Anyone can go to old trafford and get a result, just because its improbable doesn't mean it's impossible.
  5. Good point. Plus, if we win the league this year then the manager will get even more praise for what he did then.
  6. Whenever this suggestion comes up I think back to the 1 0 game Hately played in, seeing some tim in his seat after the game greeting his eyes out, knowing what was coming.
  7. Wouldn't mind Andy Driver but that's about it. Agree with Muff should bring in youngsters mentioned, but if they're not good enough it would mean Mcculloch's first team opportunities would continue.
  8. If the taxpayer had to bail out Lloyd's, and in turn Lloyd's are bailing out Rangers (if Alistair Johnston is to be believed), then doesn't that mean Celtic fans taxes have gone some way to helping the club stay on its feet?
  9. If McCoist has been in charge of the Scottish Cup games then he hasn't lost a single one for the last two years, it may not be pretty but they're winning, and I'd prefer success first and good football second (plus I like scrappy games where folk are diving into challenges and throwing elbows and such). Plus, if Walter Smith passed on knowledge learnt from Jim McLean then as far as I'm concerned that's two very successful Scottish managers training him. I understand that great players don't make great managers but I think he deserves a chance.
  10. He's got some great skills but some of his crosses are worse than Whittakers, so no dice.
  11. They really are pathetic, and they still think we're their rivals.
  12. For me our best starting eleven is Mcgregor, Whittaker, Bougherra, Wilson, Papac, Beasley, Thomson, Davis, Novo, Boyd and Miller. That team can compete with a lot of top clubs, and if you look at hibs their best team whould be Smith, Murray, Hogg, Bamba, Wotherspoon, Zemmamma, Miller, Rankin, Benjelloun, Stokes and Riordan. Looking at that I'd say we have more than enough to win this league, so I suppose the most interesting thing for the rest of the season is the fight for third.
  13. I think it'll depend on the opposition because Beasley can be very effective it just wasn't happening for him today, good for him to get match sharpness and great sub by Mr Smith.
  14. Whittaker showed why we didn't need Ian Murray, great game.
  15. MATM for me as well, and with Whittaker overlapping and Beasley/lafferty on the left we had that width. Congrats to Lafferty as well, I've slated him recently but that's the best gane he's had in some time, seems he may be better on the wing and driving inside. December form coming back?
  16. Especially against us, hated seeing macdonald come off the bench or play against us, but RK's just gonna get crunched by big lee from minute 1 to minute 92 (or 96 at the piggery)
  17. tbh its the only game of the season where I don't really mind the scum winning, like zulu and others say its Rangers that matter, no one else. To put it another way, if it were up to me they'd both lose tommorrow.
  18. He was one of our better players last night but the whole game was a tactical mess. If Jim O brian can go past two out of position full backs at will then theres a problem (although the lad does have some real skill). I'll praise him if he plays well but I just wish the guy could get his head up and play a decent pass. Fact is we should never have signed him, but now that he's here the management team can keep working on getting the best out of him (which they are normally very good at imo).
  19. with McGhee being manager i assume celtic will pump them, but you never know, Aberdeen might decide to start playing against them and give them a game at pittodrie. No chance - a snowball has more of a chance surviving in Hell than a Mark McGhee side has of putting in an effort against Panic-Button FC. I can just hear Saturday's pre-match team-talk right now: McGhee: "Right lads....let's try and avoid an embarrassing defeat. Anything less than a cricket score and you'll have done well. Oh....and defenders......don't tackle McGeady or Keane as they're both too good and you'll embarrass yourselves trying." McGhee would rather get the sack at Pittodrie than do harm to his favourite team's title chances. The bastard!! Come on CB, that's absolute shite and you know it. If it were any other team I'd agree, but look at Aberdeens performances against the scum recently, I think they've let in an average of 3 a game for the last 3 years, whilst they seem to think they have a chance against us. Their fans wholly admit they much prefer celtic so I can't see the players being any different (especially the home grown ones). not saying they won't try just not as hard. And they're shite.
  20. Went for a run this morning, past Hutcheon Street theres a supporters bus that leaves there, some sheepie goes 'Rangers are shite', my reply was a disappointing 'As opposed to you?'. But yeah, they're one nil down against Raith right now, so just wanted to have a wee dig at them cos my flatmates are away and cba going to pub.
  21. Yeah I had a wee moan about it last night, the Boyd thing was a farce, but in terms of Ferguson I think it's wrong but he's got to look after his own club.
  22. Great idea, was giving him a bit of stick last year but what he's done has been very impressive, can't imagine Rangers without Smith.
