  1. if you look at todays record a reckon that pic of david weir would do the trick
  2. At least it gives folk in the north east a chance to watch a football match for once, albeit a poor one.
  3. I think at smaller clubs it would rise because the only way people could watch football would be to see a local team rather than supporting us and Man United etc. If it weren't on TV there'd be no live streams and I'd be screwed.
  4. Looks like it, I'm all the way in Taiwan and there doesn't seem to be any open all mics and I'll be buggerred if I listen to the scum. Of course the English coverage is still on but I don't follow their game so I have to make do with really poor st johnstone killie link.
  5. Think I'll go for a 0-0 here. I'd be perfectly content for this game to be an absolute stinker with 0 shots if it means a draw.
  6. With the starting 11 currently picking itself and Fleck and Beattie in training in the next week or so it looks like the bench is starting to look very strong with Broadfoot, Foster, Webster, Fleck, Hutton, Beattie and Lafferty providing high quality cover in all the key areas except possibly the wings. With all these tough games coming up does anyone think the Motherwell game could be used to give these guys game time or is it better to trust the main 11?
  7. Miller looked knackered by about 70 minutes last night, should have him on the bench and give Laff a chance, the rest would be same as opening post.
  8. Would've swapped Miller for Weiss instead of Laff, might not be as strong but if they play it into either channel who would have had a better chance at doing something with it. Having said that I haven't managed a team to 19 trophies and a European final. By the way, what was the deal with Durrant having that phone beside him all the way through, I knew we were short on money but surely they could afford a mobile?
  9. that pic of Jordan McMillans class, he looks well chuffed.
  10. As a Rangers player he should only talk about Rangers.
  11. They also sold Miller a while ago, but we should be pumping any team those grotty bastards put out. Last years match we had zero down the wings cos of Lafferty and Fleck (good players wrong position especially on such a narrow pitch) so I'm curious to see if Weiss and Naismith can cut it. Davis didn't work last year down the right and I can't see it helping this year,
  12. Agreed I don't believe Liverpool have better coaches. He may be training with better players day in day out but that's not a substitute for first team football and the odd game in champs league and old firm derby. Hope he does well cos that means more cash for us and I think he's good enough to have a good career there. Also agree that any player that improves the team is a good thing so I'd welcome a loan move. But if he does ever sign for them he can gtf.
  13. Would actually not mind seeing if Lafferty and Jelavic could make a good partnership on Sunday, gives Miller extra rest before Wednesday and keeps Lafferty sharp when he comes off the bench.
  14. aye would be great if he stays on, and maybe he'd want to stay to get rid of one last septic manager but I'm looking forward to seeing if Coisty can carry on that legacy.
  15. gazza against Dundee United when he turned and curled it in left foot.
  16. Novo's penalty, after the longest 2 hours in my life I honestly can't remember being that happy.
  17. If you just wait five minutes after the game outside the away end you'll be fine. Their banters awful but I've never found anything worse. Haven't noticed any taxis anywhere.
  18. links okay for me I get a full 3 seconds before it freezes
  19. An Enlish friend of mine thought the chant was 'we are people', I still feel bad for correcting him.
  20. And i also hate him because i think he is shite Don't necessarily agree but a line like that needs repeating. He's done well, wasn't happy when he resigned but the goals against them make it totally worth it. Will never sing his name though, like someone else here said, can't forgive or forget but will applaud him if he plays well.
  21. I think the Boyd thing stems from us having two teams, when he's in the team it always seems more direct but when he's not I think we build a bit slower and try to pull defenders out of position more. Have to agree with Muff to an extent, would like to see Fleck up there instead of Naismith or Lafferty or even Miller, and Boyd's the man to get us over the line. Speaking of which, so much for comparing us to a 'drunk man chasing a balloon' (Hugh Keevins words I think), how many pissheads can strike a ball like Davis?
  22. The general consensus on here seems like Naismith didn't have a good game last night but personally I think the management found a good use for him playing between the midfield and strikers as (I thought) he was frequently picking up the ball with his back to goal and finding an out ball in Miller. Given Fleck's talent and being toted as an attacking midfielder I think he would be best served in this position with Thomson/Edu mopping up and Davis providing some extra creativity from a more central area. Miller and Novo or Naismith could run into either channel so the midfield can get forward and provide goals if Boyd weren't around any more. What does everyone think? Do we have the ability to make something like this work or is it just a bit too theoretical and impractical?
  23. Thomson was also MOTM in the last league game against Hibs. Edu is still recovering from a derious injury and he comes on to score the winning goal and play a pivotal role in winning the game. What else do you want? Was it him who got the goal after the Miller hand ball?
