Have you seen Sakala's posts with the biblical references? You do realise the situation in Saudi regarding other religions???

I'm happy enough that we are selling Sakala for what will likely be a decent sum which I expect to be in excess of £3 million no doubt with extras subject to certain criteria. He's seems a lovely guy but he is far too erratic for me. The near identical sitters missed in cup games against the dark side are prime examples. I see a lot of posts of people sad to see him go but I think that is more about frustration at our recent performances rather than an actual liking for Sakala's playing ability. Having said that, we are all allowed an opinion. Listening to Beale, it seemed to me that it was made plain to Sakala that he was still wanted but that he wouldn't be a first pick. The Saudi offer seemed to be very attractive and Sakala decided to accept. That is my take on Beale's comments. I'm actually surprised he's going to Saudi as he seems a devout Christian and that is not something that is allowed in public in Saudi. Anyway I wish him well.

Yesterday was simply awful and the really worrying aspect for me is that Beale's team selection looked likely to produce that result before kick off. I expect that most fans groaned when they saw the team he was putting out.

I haven't seen anything from Sima which gives me any optimism that he will shine for us. Baffling that he wasn't subbed by 60 mins at least.

I'd imagine he'd have wanted a position on the board (not DoF) but to add more insight on football in general. Nobody on the board has any such experience. What he clearly didn't want was to just be a "meet and greet" type.

Numerous teams do a huddle before kick-off. It's embarrassing that our fans boo and jeer other teams for doing a huddle. The tims didn't start the huddle thing and the only team that our fans should ridicule for it are the tims.

I'm 99% certain that Beale named Souttar and Davies plus other unnamed players as being left at home for the Hoffenheim game due to illness.

Is it not the case that they are being kept apart from the rest of the squad due to a sickness bug? Souttar, Davies and at least 2 others were left out off the squad to Hoffenheim due to a bug. Kamara was unwell after his holiday as well.

Just getting past them will do for me. We do not have a settled side at this time and don't look as if we will pummel any team just yet. I hope Beale decides to use the next couple of games to actually play his favoured eleven.

I'd definitely go for the 2 corners filled in for the additional 2600 seats The quicker option for a quicker payback, smaller outlay. I'd like to see what the costs were for New Ed House. A two storey rectangular box is not a difficult construction. Even allowing for increased material costs the reputed £11 million figure seems ridiculously high.

He had a really good game v the tims but he had a few very shaky moments in the next 2 games.

I can see your points about him. I hope his wages are not top of our scale but if his wages are say £30k per week then over a 3 year period that's a spend of £4.5 million. If we were to buy a decent keeper it's likely to cost us that kind of outlay then the additional wage cost would be at least £1 million per year.. Financially it's not too bad a deal for me. Just need to hope he does OK.

It does annoy me when some posters derail a thread almost at the outset. I put it down to childishness although that is no excuse.
