  1. Not convinced a new version of Mark Allen or Ross Wilson will be advantageous to us.
  2. The UEFA money doesn't count as nett spend. I wouldn't believe Beale if he told me there were 7 days in a week. We can only go by the figures we see quoted both for fees paid and received. The approx fees out are quoted as Danilo £6m, Dessers £4.3m , Lammers £3.5m, Cifuentes £1.2m add in signing-on fees for Butland, Dowell, Sterling, Balogun which will be in the region of £2m to £3m in my opinion. Not sure if there is a loan fee for Sima. Incoming fees, Colak £1.8m, Sakala £3m, Zukowski £0.2m Kamara £5.5m Tillman £1m and possibly a loan fee for Hagi £1m . That comes to a nett spend of circa £5 million but all the figures are unconfirmed so it's a best guess scenario.
  3. Our nett spend is approx £6 million in this window.
  4. I don't like Sunday games myself but prefer 3pm than any other time.
  5. I didn't mean what was his age, I meant I'm not sure how old he was when he was in their youth set up. I've just seen that he joined PSV at 19 after being with Belgian clubs' youth teams (Anderlecht and Genk). Those clubs must be kicking themselves now.
  6. Why is 3pm Sat OK but 3pm on Sunday isn't? Games at 3pm on a Sat aren't televised either. I'd rather it was 3pm on Sunday than 12 noon. Anyone travelling from 2 or 3 hours or more away would have to be up and on the move pretty early.
  7. It suits all travelling fans for a start. How does a 3pm kick off affect you going to work on the Monday?
  8. Saibari is one of their young players although not sure from what age.
  9. Not sure about wage structure figures as our first team squad wages are far from what was quoted. Also no idea how much they can afford in transfer fees compared to what we can pay.
  10. It depends on transfer fees and first team squad wages.
  11. The Dutch TV deal was a 12 year deal at an average of 80 million Euros per season. That deal would start lower than 80m and finish higher than 80m. Probably be about 120m Euros for the last season which is 24/25. The new Dutch TV deal is in the region of 2 billion Euros over 10 years. That is approx £170 million per annum.
  12. Our 2022 wage bill was £54.8 million (that would have been the equivalent of approx Euros 63 million) but that was not all for the 1st team squad it was for every employee. Our 1st team squad wages were £37.8 million (Euros 43.5 million). This financial year we signed 9 new players (including 1 loan)and moved on 12 players (including 2 loans). I'm not sure if all the other clubs' wage bills include ALL staff or just players or just first team squad.
  13. I was talking about match fitness/sharpness. He won't get game time with us hence the need for a loan. It's also appears that Beale just doesn't fancy Hagi. I can't see him getting any faster than before injury nor can I see him lasting 90 minutes in many games. We'd have sold him if there were any buyers.
  14. I was at a business do with clients in the city that night and the game was on tv in the venue. I let everyone know how pleased I was when that went in !!
  15. Hagi will need to prove his fitness before any club will pay decent money for him. We can't afford to play him to get him fit as we need 11 fully fit players in every game. A loan deal is the best we can hope for at this time.
  16. He's a good player and very hard to play against. In the last 9 seasons he's averaged a goal every second game. PSV, Sevilla, Barcelona.
  17. I'd sell Hagi as he just isn't suitable for us. He's far too slow and runs out of steam by 60th minute. He's also been very erratic for us. He seems a nice guy and has ability but he's more suited to a league with a slow build-up (Serie A would probably be best for him).
  18. Have you seen Sakala's posts with the biblical references? You do realise the situation in Saudi regarding other religions???
  19. I'm happy enough that we are selling Sakala for what will likely be a decent sum which I expect to be in excess of £3 million no doubt with extras subject to certain criteria. He's seems a lovely guy but he is far too erratic for me. The near identical sitters missed in cup games against the dark side are prime examples. I see a lot of posts of people sad to see him go but I think that is more about frustration at our recent performances rather than an actual liking for Sakala's playing ability. Having said that, we are all allowed an opinion. Listening to Beale, it seemed to me that it was made plain to Sakala that he was still wanted but that he wouldn't be a first pick. The Saudi offer seemed to be very attractive and Sakala decided to accept. That is my take on Beale's comments. I'm actually surprised he's going to Saudi as he seems a devout Christian and that is not something that is allowed in public in Saudi. Anyway I wish him well.
