  1. hopefully get another couple of full houses for the europa cup games, maybe walter will get some funds for january from it.
  2. yes, true.down probably to the fact he was giving the managers big money.when that died down and the fans didnt like what they were seeing those numbers fell big time.but this aint about murray, more about the fact we certainly have an awsome fan base that if attracted in the right way could make our club a whole lot more money than it is just now.
  3. i would say moving down south would give us more tv money and a chance to play a decent team every week, although, we would also get more money if we filled ibrox every game with season ticket holders, with a waiting list again to get a season ticket, the way it used to be.eventually expanding the capacity.just getting the fans back the way they used to in the good old black and white photos. for that to happen i think we would need decent games to take place and not just take it for granted victories,so the other teams and fans also need to get on board as well and make an effort too.make the spl a mini premiership that everyone looking in thinks is the bees knees and sky eventually gives us a decent tv deal.whenever i speak to my friends down south they say they would rather watch a nationwide game rather than a scottish game(old firm aside)and that is truly embarrassing for this football crazy nation. how this is going to happen in this present climate with money tight everywhere who knows, maybe all clubs lowering season tickets making sure that the stadium is full and also their pies and bovril etc all sold out.every little helps, especially for the smaller clubs. i used to jump on the band waggon a few years ago, when murray was shouting loud about moving down south, but not these days.i am proud to be scottish and want my team to be at the tip of the pyramid representing us every year in europe.i also love putting the boot into that other side and the thought of not beating them every season. some fans are loyal and will support through thick and thin, some are only there when things are going well, signing good players and playing good teams also help as well.this applies to every club not just ours.but ultimatly they are their lifeline.a stronger hearts, hibs, aberdeen, dundee utd, hell even the tims would eventually make us a stronger football club. all a very long process but you can only dream cant you.
  4. with or without the big man at new year,we will kick their title challenge right out the window.shouldnt risk him if he aint 100%
  5. seen peter crouch on soccer am describe him as the most skillfull player at spurs.if he ended up playing for us i think it would be a masterstroke up there with laudrups signing.especially at that 3 million price tag.what a player the guy is
  6. can i say that no matter what, the old firm game takes priority over anything else in my life when it is played,i dedicate my weekend on that sunday noon kick off.this new year iam am not having a serious drink till the 2nd.this game, i will have friends coming that i have not seen for months.i love this game,i always will.no way is it getting boring.
  7. dignity and all that goes with our club would have stepped in im sure
  8. not one for keeping their stats, so not sure on that one.although it being an all out attacking side we faced, we had a mighty fine keeper to keep them at bay go on the goalie.
  9. thought it was something like that, damn it still haunts me to this day when i look back
  10. and i believe after 1/3 of the season when negri was on fire, we had a healthy lead and threw it away, which when looking back makes it all the worse
  11. big eck did no bad against onail,i think that walter just wanted to dip his toes in the premiership.walters time at everton has prepared him for his second stint with us.same no money work with what you have got mentality, something that he didnt have to deal with in his first spell with us.
  12. walters decision to leave would only have spurred everyone on,just like this season.it was prob the negri incident whatever the heck went on there that fuc*ed the squad up.that hearts cup final before he left was sickening looking back on it, but hey you have got to take the rough with the smooth.everything happens for a reason.look at us now, back where we belong.53 and counting
  13. yeah i agree thats a big amount of dosh to have, alexander is a very good replacement for mcgregor and we could replace bouggie the same way as we did last year when he was away for algeria or injured.that amount of money spent wisely is just jaw dropping
  14. yeah an extra 5 million on top of the money generated from the europen games, annual turnover, sales of current personnell.who knows what it means coz its all pure speculation.
  15. as much as i like/love fergie and stu i still dont believe that would be the saving grace if we had them mysteriously sent back in time to play once again for us. i dont think that edu and mccullouch have much of a say in the formations we play, they just do what they are told, professionally.like everyone else who seems to be on here, maybe i have reservations how both of them work together but if our great team grind out results time after time albeit with them at the centre of the hub, without hitting the earth shattering football we all exept, well i dont give a shit 7 away wins out of 7 for me is pretty awsome
  16. davis is our creative player but due to him having to do more than his fair share of defensive duties due to the rest of the team not pulling their socks up its no surprise that he has had a shit season.get the defensive midfield position sorted and im sure there will be no need for the enigma eremenko, as our very own, last seasons player of the year(best player all year round) will do the buisness for us.some people are so fickle and forgetfull at times.remember a team wins and loses together and by fu*k this team do not lose that often.p.s eremenko couldnt cope with the fitness levels after 65 mins so how would he cope if he was in our team with our backs against the wall giving it our all against a top european team.give me peace.
  17. eremenko this, eremenko that, its bad enough that twat burley practically write us off due to this enigma.i hate the fact that everyone and their dog wants to sign him because he is the flavour of the month have faith with what we have as they have brought us two in a row already(would have been 3 had it not been for the mad fixture pile up of the uefa cup final season). if playing good against us merited our club singing certain players then sol bamba would be with us a few years ago starting when PLG was here when dunfermline beat us in the cup and then carrying it on till last week.but hey everyone who is a bear deserves better and we should not lower our standards for anyone.only the best deserves to pull on our jersey not any old journeyman.
  18. lol,yir really cracking me up here.good luck wae your future career im sure wee will meet somewhere in the not so distant future . at least were supporting the same team eh.
  19. see through eh, i hate manure and yeah i would love us to beat them at ibrox and valencia to beat them too and for us and the spaniards to go through. nothing wrong with that eh
  20. yes he does and have also seen him hit some decent free kicks for the man city res that hit the back of the net. absolute joke that we cant even work the keeper when got a 25 yard free kick. champions league or spl.
  21. it was a distraction but i would not change nacho scoring that penalty for any occasion in my life. utter utter utter joy that night in florence.
  22. there you go again with the insults, take it yer a bully eh big boy fan of the year. you quoted "Valencia will beat Man United at home" which to any decent human being would equate to valencia being the home team. however if you are referring to the old trafford game that would be totaly differrent.somewhere along the lines of "man utd will get beat off of valencia at home" hope manure do get beat but hey why the insults, you are giving us bears a bad name, if you cant debate without your insults and swear words go and annoy someone else.
  23. what you talking about man utd have already beat valencia in spain. i think that i chose to open the thread with us visiting dublin makes me very optomistic. if you dont want to come just stay at home then. miss the mother of all party/barneys then
  24. i said if i'm wrong we have dublin to look forward to. obviously the last 16 brings in more money and co efficient points. (that we all crave) never did i say that i would prefer the ueropa league. but as you are talking realisticaly i still say there is a better chance of us getting involved in the europa league than the champions league after christmas as much as i have to admit it.
