  1. Just an example to show I've used my own uploads; From your site, note the scan smudge. From my original post of this thread (no smudge far left). It is linked from RangersPedia, but that was my own upload to RangersPedia for the Kinning Park page itself, from my own scan/photograph. Again no offence intended, I enjoy your albums you've put some great work into them, but I don't link them in my posts when I say that I've uploaded them myself, that'd be lieing We have uploaded the same photographs, from the same books so I can see why you think I'm actually linking your images and trying to claim credit haha, but I'm not .. also feel free to use my smudgeless Kinning Park image for your albums by the way
  2. With no offence intended here, they come from various rangers books I scan/photograph, I don't link from your site? Just need to reply/quote my posts to see where they are linked from. Also a few of them are upgrades to the images on your site, just slightly higher resolution clearer etc, the Kinning Park farewell image included (next post), as yours has a slight smudge on the far left, I gather from scanning, mine was shot with a high resolution camera with the flash bounced off the ceiling for a very clear ambient light (I don't have a scanner ) Any I've put on RangersPedia again are the same, not linked from your imageevent albums but from imageshack via my own uploading or my photobucket albums. Not to put down your brilliant albums though, as it's great stuff. Although you got the images from the sames books i gather
  3. I ment to say, blown up for a banner at the next old firm game. And the JD "establishment" was ment to say advert.

  5. The ancients v moderns photo, with all bowler hats that was the last game played at Kinning Park in 1887 should be blown up massive and have THE ESTABLISHMENT written on it in the jack daniels font! Haha. That picture is the first I thought of when I heard that fella mention 'establishment' and 'bowler hats' on the radio! Haha.. I can imagine it just like a jack daniels establishment, deep glasgwegian accent voice over, close ups of running whisky and beer kegs, bowler hats and then this photo.. "The establishment, since 1872" or something in JD font... Phew, what a mouthful to write on the mobile!
  6. Updated Rangerspedia with some of these, thought people might want to see them. More to come.
  7. I won't bug people with new threads about the replay reports, so heres the 14th April report from the North British Daily Mail. Part 1 and 2. (April 9th report is coming, I'm missing a section, must have left it at the printer, so that'll be up soon.)
  8. Rangerspedia page updated too: http://rangerspedia.org/index.php/Rangers_1-1_Vale_of_Leven:_17th_March_1877
  9. From the Glasgow Herald, Monday 19th March 1877. Pardon the quality, the print from the Microfilm was pretty shocking.
  10. Did well today two decent goals too.
  11. Its not just about last night though, its been a large part of our game since our winning days of December. We've broken down many teams and won with some decent, on the floor passing, and for about 15 minutes yesterday we looked like doing it again near the end, till we lost the goal.
  12. Whilst I agree in princible, we shouldn't be looking at how bad they play and letting ourselves away with poor football. I of course would much rather our style of play too, but a loss like yesterday has been a long time coming. The past few months have been constant games of poor football, but we've been winning also.
  13. A blonde Kyle Lafferty. Trys hard, and has slightly more skill and pace than his darker haired team mate but still an overall lack of quality and end result.
  14. What is it with our team and the long ball up field? Especially against large opposition defenders? How can we noticed every game that our best football comes from keeping the ball on the floor, making decent, snappy, passes and opening up the opposition defence. Too many times last night (and a lot this season) have we succumbed to just punting the ball up the park, for an opposition defender to head it back down to their midfield, and have a go at our goal. Its a joke really, and surely the players and management realise it hardly ever works? We spent pretty much the whole of the final, and last night watching the ball fly over oud midfield, be headed by their defenders and posession given away. Not only are we taking out of the game, debatably the most important part of our winning team, the midfield, but we are pretty much rendering the strikers useless also, as against large lads in the opposition defence none of our strikers are really any use. Ill say it once, and ill say it again, our best football is with the ball on the floor for the most part, even on the floor as far as the midfield/wingers who can cross it to a box of players. Oh how I await the day we stop the dreaded long ball/punt up field
  15. Seeing Lafferty on the team sheet is like eating an out of date orange, you'd be doing very well to get a decent game of football with it and it leaves a sour taste. Worst player on the team without a doubt, the lack of basics in our team is shocking at times but Laffertys downfalls are extremley poor for a professional footballer. Some of the basics you learn as a child at football training either haven't sunken in or were just ignored with Laffairy, ball watching is the main one, and one I've seen Ally and team mates shouting at him for, something which cost us a goal against Dundee United at home. Then there's the shocking first touch, which 8/10 times will end up two metres in front of him, to be picked up by an opposition player. Don't get me started on his lack of heading ability (at his height), inability to mark and tackle a player (bar almost breaking their legs) and the nonsensical, constant, turning backwards when he has the ball. No player is perfect, and hardly anyone on the team yesterday could make a basic pass, but still, we would be much better of if Smith just held his hands up and admitted he wasted £3.5m on a dud.
  16. I think Boyds for the off to be honest, it is a shame as some noted that his best form was before a contract was offered. He needs to up his game for us again now and forget about what he's doing next season, I know he came back from injury but he's gradually been getting poorer I swear. If he can score for fun like against Dundee United we should see that, or even a glimpse of that every week. Looked uniterested in the final.
  17. Is that the new statue outside Ibrox? Nah mate thats the main stand, front side of it early morning.
  18. I just remembered something I photographed at Ibrox two weeks ago, on my weekly 'Wander around Ibrox with a camera' day. Look who it is!
  19. This final shall be remembered by me as 'The one with 9 men and a pigeon'
  20. I got the name idea from Thermo so credit to him
  21. Don't start this rubbish again, the 'no service' apparent line isn't used only for Boyd, it's used at any game where the front two don't get service. I've read it on here many a time and not just about Boyd. Like Gid said, some just seem to want to pull the focus on one player being under par today, its sad. What people seem to forget is that, give the front two service with the ball on the floor, and two wide players and Boyd and Miller come alive. Take that away, lump the ball up in the air and play generally poor and the two of them seem quiet. I'm not saying he played well today, but he did just as much as half of the team today, it was a poor effort for most of the match, until we were down to 9 men.
