Has anyone tried the Cloud Streaming? I wonder if it's worth it at all? I can see myself purchasing an external hard drive soon as games are huge these days, and you can't store them on the system much. I imagine Cloud Streaming would totally ruin the graphics?

So the weird trial I had, I don't know if it was just the multiplayer in the end as it hadn't fully downloaded. Only to the "ready to play" part so maybe it is downloading a section of the single player too. But my initial thoughts on the tutorial of the multiplayer was how smooth the combat and controls were. I actually felt like Assassins Creed meets Ninja Gaiden style.
From trailers and word of mouth from podcasts etc I thought it was more like Death Stranding in terms of a lot of walking and traveling to really scenic and nice looking places rather than what you have described. (I've never played Death Stranding either btw!) So I'm quite intrigued actually. It's winning so far. with Ratchet and Clank close too for the pick up and play element.

Genuinely think that’s the reason. I’m feeling the post Christmas lull big style  this year, i’ve got a bit of family related stress going on just now too so I just wanted to do something familiar, but fun to pass the time and take me out of day to day life for a bit. I tried to start Horizon Zero Dawn but I just wasn’t getting into it because I couldn’t concentrate properly so I stuck Red Dead in instead because I can play that on autopilot.

My cat loved Stray. Every night my Mrs played it he was pressed up against the TV. 
She was a big fan too though! 

Tempted for Stray as well. Also always wanted to know how bad the Avengers game could truly be.

Nah it’s definitely nothing like Death stranding. It’s a full on open world action game first and foremost - the map is the perfect size to be honest. Not overwhelming but still gives you plenty of opportunity for exploration. It massively respects your time by focusing on quality not quantity so it never really feels like a chore or padded.
The combat is brilliant. The addition of combat stances and having to evaluate enemy profiles keeps it surprisingly fresh. The tools and gadgets are also very useful and not just a gimmick.
Are you downloading the Ghost of Tsushima Legends trial? I don’t think it features any single player content - it’s just the co-op multiplayer part of the game that was released as a free update after launch.

Annoying. Downloaded a trial of Ghost of Tsushima, did the tutorial but it turned out to be the trial of some multiplayer thing, rather than the actual game.
Cant be bothered buying it; would have done if the trial was the story, and was something that hooked me.

Played fallen order when it came out! It was great then but probs won’t play it again before the new one. The story kinda stuck with me. It’s one of the few I actually remember what happened so don’t need a refresher.
 
@IakonaI was considering Ghost of Tsushima actually. What’s the premise and how does it play? Is it just pretty or is the game play addictive like god of war? I found myself really satisfied with the combat, especially when you get the blades.

Probs going to go into hiding when that comes out and play the f out of it like I did the GOAT Spider-Man 2 game in 2004.

Good man, spiderman 2 is on the wishlist already for me on the ps store lol
 

Ghost of Tsushima. It’s absolutely jaw dropping on PS5. As is Demon Souls.

Yeah I would recommend, very enjoyable and quite fast paced at times as well.
Easy plat as well if that's your thing

buy sniper elite 5 if you like sniping and a bit of online gaming as the invasion mode is brilliant but aye gotham knights was so poor i'll not even bother with it again but dont leave GOW2 too long as its bigger than the first game and better fighting moves

Not played Rift Apart, no, but it’s on desk I see… recommend?
It is probably quite easy going and not too story heavy. Maybe that’s a shout?
