Motives ?? - I don't understand The guy obviously had access to the financial records and projections that we can only guestimate at. Rather than being a critical "sour grapes" article - to me, it was more of a positive and optimistic piece, offering realistic solutions to build the club.

You are right on his trophy record. It could be argued that he inherited some fantastic players, and although belts had to be tightened - he still had the opportunity to spend many millions on a single player. The "spending less than he got in" scenario was pretty skewed due to him having players like Flo, Gio, etc. already on the books. Anyway, I'm beginning to sound a bit negative of the big guy - that is not my intention, I actually liked the guy - and I don't think he ever got the recognition he thoroughly deserved.

Big Ecks first full season in charge against probably the strongest Celtic team since the 60/70s A squad containing players such as Klos, Numan, Amoruso, Arteta, Mols, de Boer, etc. Triple winners for the 7th time in our history I won't mention Europe though As I said in the sub-title - how things have changed.

You raise a good point, and it was a question I asked on another thread a couple of weeks ago. Why would the original investors want to dilute their share value so soon, and should there really be a need for additional investment for at least the next 2-3 years ??? Surely we can "cut our crust" being in the lower divisions, whilst still maintaining ST sales of 30K+

Probably posted elsewhere, but it appears the Club is a bit bitter over the transfer of Templeton also - Bitter Jambos Club must always come first 01.09.2012 Hearts today reasserted the strategy for the club in light of the close of the transfer window in which the club secured one of its most promising young players while moving closer to securing another of its key Academy graduates. Business was also concluded which saw one senior squad player depart and one return. A club spokesperson said: "We appreciate the supporters' sad feelings at the departure of one of our top players.
