  1. If I remember correctly, in a cup final big Amo blocked a shot on the line in the last minute. At the game I thought definite handball, we won the match 1-0 (Rod the Prod scored). Went home thinking...jeez we got away with one there. When I seen the game the next day the big man had blocked the ball with his chest and made sure his hands were well clear. Touch of class was big Lorenzo. Very very proud to have been captain of our club. Welcome back here anytime.
  2. Laudrup was a credit to our club throughout his time here. Bearing in mind we also had Gazza and Goram, they two seemed to take care of the front pages of the papers, Laudrup took care of the back pages.
  3. I believe that same scouting team did also identify Boca, Aluko and Goian (who seemed to perform a little more like his usual self on Sunday).
  4. Do you think that this could become a regular occurrence? Maybe 2/3 fixtures a season? For me this fixture has been ideal opportunity to mix the old with the new. Firstly, the old, I am able to take my dad to the game as he had to give up his season ticket 4 years ago after suffering a stroke. This will be his first time back at Ibrox since then and the auld yin is buzzing. Secondly, I am taking my wee laddie to his first ever game. Just turning 5 I still think he is a wee bit young to grasp what is happening but the atmosphere and crowd will not be too intimidating for the bairn. He is also buzzing and keeps asking if he can take the RFFF union flag along with him. In years to come he will thank me for letting him see the likes of Super Ally, Laudrup, Mols, Goughie and Gazza. Cannae wait
  5. Two crackers that I would leave to cheer are Der Goalie and wee Rod Wallace. 45 minutes for Goram and 45 minutes for Klos does not sound too bad does it? Wee Rod scored a right few crucial goals for us during his time and it would be great to see him again. When you think of the talent we have had in the past two decades, the legends could manage a few games at Ibrox each season, in fact a few away trips might no be a bad idea either?
  6. No even bothering to check their fixtures but I know if they are due to play the sheep worriers or their buddies fae Paisley then the league is gift wrapped. We have spoiled their season by absolutely pumping them on Sunday. I also look forward to pishing all over them at their hovel too.
  7. Phoned this morning to get tickets. Looking for 3 seats together, could not get my own seat and was told there was not 3 seats together available in Govan. Lassie said ticket sales were goin very well.
  8. The last few weeks has been a very difficult time for our great club. The players, officials and the fans have all been asked to do their bit in getting the club back to their rightful and deserved place. Tiny steps (but huge gestures) have been taken from kids offering to donate pocket money to players waiving percentages of their wages. Attendance at games has been fantastic, the support shown has been phenomenal and personnel within our club has acted with great fortitude and dignity. Football as a game has been criticised with FIFA's recent scandals, racism within the game and apparent greed shown by professional players but I feel that our club has shown in the last few weeks what football, and genuine support should be about. The Old Firm match is usually grabbing headlines for the wrong reasons but the response and comments from neutrals and media (even Scottish) has been very complimentary about our performance. Both on and off the park we were magnificent yesterday. The atmosphere was the best at Ibrox for a long long time and our players showed professionalism and talent that we, as fans, knew was always there. The sun shone on us yesterday, the sun shone on our proud supporters happily displaying their colours the day after the big match, let's hope the sun continues to shine on us in future. The forecast is good.
  9. Aye, you are right we won and that is he greatest thing about it. I had a fiver on 3-1 so that shitey free kick cost me money as well. I am more annoyed that the score makes it look as if they were even threatening to us during the match. We pished all over them and should have seen 5 or 6 on the big scoreboard.
  10. Commons definitely went down easy (just like the slimy Greek and the disgrace of a club captain of theirs did all day) Seen it from the stand and confirmed on telly. Thought Whitts done fine for his first game back. As mentioned previously he didn't seem to have a right mid in front of him to offer any protection but they did not seem to exploit that (he is the worst manager in their tainted history, both tactically and as a a human being). One thing I am sure off, we are better with him than without him (Bartley and Kirk didnae do a decent job when they were filling in at right back). Welcome back Steven, I hope you can get back to your form of the last few seasons and forget about this season
  11. Watched Sasa walk down the tunnel today. He looked absolutely raging.....reckon he was pissed at losing those two late goals. Like most of us he knows that shower were flattered by that score today. We pumped them, pissed all over them and demonstrated who the best fitba team in that league is. Let them never ever forget that.
  12. Just been to cludgie for the first time this morning. I expect to be there another 3 times before I set off to the game. Always get the shits on the day we play them
  13. Zander Diamond annoyed me as well. Surprised he ever made it as a professional footballer
  14. Owen Coyle. When he speaks it is as if he is talking to 4 year olds. He is a whining twat too....wonder where he gets that from?
  15. Came out Ayr races on Saturday and there were a load of their supporters giving it laldy whilst on the rides at the shows (probably only ride that shower would get anyway). I thought this was strange because the game was still on but I reckon that they probably never even made the game.
  16. Can remember being hugely impressed by Mendieta (whatever happened to him ) and Del Piero but the one player I can remember thinking fuck me this boy is good was Klaus Augenthaler. Rock solid defender who had that thing about him that when he broke forward his team looked completely different.....he also scored an absolute peach that night. Greatest talent I have seen at Ibrox would be Messi but he was piss poor the night we seen him. Just shows though, no matter how wonderfully talented a player is, put him up against the Papac and he resembles a pub league player.
  17. Had a score on sous le cieux @ 6/1 so far. Will look some more tonight but I reckon I will have some of Moscow Mannon in bumper, bit of e/w on Cotton Mill and maybe take on sizing europe with Kauto Stone (see how betting w/o fav market is)
  18. Had a good day. Decent return on place bets on Kentford Grey Lady and Rock on Ruby. Also had a wee bit of 4/1 on Rock on Ruby (betting w/o Hurricane Fly). Strange...I could not see ROR beating the Fly but I was celebrating as it turned the corner coming down the hill....easy. Cracking atmosphere at Cheltenham, any punters that have never been should really give it a go. Only downside was on the train back to Bristol. Drunk fellow countryman making an arse of himself on the train.....typical tadger who thinks everyone is his pal or mucker. Train had a few cheltenham punters but was mostly commuters and families. When he was pushing ppl about to get off the train he obviously didnae bargain on somebody who is used to getting last train hame to Ayrshire fae Central and has seen nastier drunks than him. Called me an arrogant prick and a bender and his last threat to me as his missus was dragging him away was he would get me barred fae the races cos he works there by the way. Made me ashamed to be Scottish
  19. Taking on Sacre with Al Ferof (PP are paying all losing bets if Sacre wins.....good bet that) Had a wee go with Tetlami in Supreme Novices although McManus seems sweet on Darlan (he has been known to put punters away though ) Place bets with Rock on Ruby and Kentford Grey Lady. For the fav backers you can get 5/1 for Fly, SS and Quevega. Just about to set off for track just now. Wish me luck
  20. Lucky 31 is 5 selections. Your bet will be 31 x stake So £1stake would be £31. If you want e/w it will work out as 62 x stake. So £1 e/w stake would be £62
  21. I will be there on Tuesday. Hope I have more luck than I had at Ayr yesterday
  22. Ally's abilities, commitment and desire were questioned as a player ( do you remember him being called the judge). Not only did he prove some people wrong, he went onto become the greatest ever Rangers player (in my opinion and probably for most people of my generation). Would I be surprised if Ally learned a huge amount from the past season and kicked on and started delivering trophies? Not one bit. Would I be surprised if Ally kicked on and became the most successful manager in the history of our club. Not one bit Would I be surprised if in 10 years time if Ally was still at the helm of our (and his) great club. Not one bit. In fact, it is strange to think it considering the year he has had, but I expect the above of him. That is how much the Rangers means to him.
  23. And this is for all our players. The focus seems to be on the four big earners but lets not forget that players from Boca to Broadfoot, from Rhys to Salim are all taking a hit on their wages. It could be argued that that big earners are more financially secure (everyone has differing financial circumstances) so there may be players, even youth players who are making a bigger sacrifice. Furthermore some of these players will not have the same emotional attachment to our magnificent club that you and I may have. Ultimately this is only a job to some of these guys who were raised in Romania, USA etc but they have shown a level of commitment which should never be forgotten, ever. If they decide to walk away in the summer we should not be critical, as they have stayed loyal through one of our darkest times, however I hope to be pleasantly surprised by the number of them that will remain and continue to fight our fights. Thanks very much to all our playing and coaching staff. We are all very proud of you.
  24. Repped you purely for the use the word dullion. Got to be my favourite word in the English language (weegie version).
  25. That only confirms that their horrid followers are more interested in us than they are in their own team.
