  1. The booster seat is a good idea. That is the type of thing my laddie uses at the cinema. I have been taking my 5yo son to the games this season. I moved seat in the main stand in preparation for this and luckily got the front row so he does not bother anyone sitting in front of him. He appears to enjoy it and I will keep taking him until he decides otherwise. For the guys on here that have opinions about bairns at the games, they should be considerate of other people's circumstances. It could be weekend access, child care reasons (missus working etc) or simply that some fathers enjoy spending time with their kids. For me, I work away from home so my time spent with my boy is limited so getting a day away at the football with him is good fun. I hope we are still going to the games together in 20 years time.
  2. It looked to me like he made the sign of the ball. I think he was trying to indicate that he was holding onto possession as opposed to throwing the ball into the box before any of our forwards were actually there. At that time we were only 1 up so I thought it was the sensible thing to do.
  3. I am not trying to twist your words, they are simply the words you chose to describe two guys who have remained faithful and loyal during these difficult few months. I am more of a long game type of person (not the football tactic) and I am willing to give people time to turn things around. I accept that some people want returns/results sooner. I ain't trying to paint you as some disloyal stooge either, the fact that you are willing to discuss this tells me enough about you as a supporter of our club.
  4. Hapless? Jeez, that is some description of Ally. Compounded with describing Jig as a liability. Thanks for educating me about what Rangers deserve but I think they deserve better than that.
  5. I was merely remarking upon the inaccuracies of the post. I did start to write about the reasons why I was willing to be patient (building a team, gaining a level of consistency, being forced to play young players and being conscious of their career, still dealing with history of the past few months etc) but I then suddenly remembered the fickleness of some of our support. See the recent posts about Jig for further examples.
  6. Suppose the Motherwell game does not figure in your analysis of our managers abilities and our players confidence? Incidentally I felt that was a "big game" in our recent history and he managed to win that.
  7. That was a sickening challenge. It is only a matter of time before one of our players get punished/sent off for taking retribution for one of these "tackles".
  8. Late 30s probably. Played full back, think he is a scouser. I am originally from Kilwinning and I think his family moved there after he signed for Rangers....that is the reason I can remember him
  9. Is that the same Stephen Watson that was played with us a few times before joining St Mirren? Sure he lived down here in Ayrshire (Kilwinning possibly). Drive and Tiber have always been strong in the amateur scene down here. seemed to always attract the best players from around Ayrshire....I wonder why?
  10. Maybe this is old news but I heard today that the new white kit will be available in the Rangers shop tomorrow.
  11. Are you joking? Jig has stood up and shown his desire to remain, when others decided they didnae fancy the fight and lined their own (and their agents) pockets at our clubs expense. He has been the rock on the pitch whilst Ally and Mr Green have steadied the ship. But now we seem to have some new players so it is acceptable to dump him? No chance. He has demonstrated faith in his and our club and I believe his loyalty deserves the same returned by the club. It is what we, as Rangers, do.
  12. Jama, we also have the best stadium, best training facility and best fans in the country. Some folk need to remember what the haters tried like fuck to destroy. They failed and we must take every opportunity to remind them we are still here, strong as fuck. It's onwards and upwards from here.
  13. I agree. When Shire scored their goal he grabbed the ball and had it in the centre circle shouting and bawling to get things going. While others were pointing fingers he was trying to fire things up. He could turn out to be a proper leader and even more of a favourite with us.
  14. More of a Durrant than Ferguson for me. Very promising........
  15. Can I also appeal to our fans that when Ian gets his first touch on Saturday we give him one almightyfuckin roar. Let him know that we are all in this together.
  16. Booing Rangers players is no new thing to the Tartan Army. My last Scotland game was a friendly v South Africa at Pittodrie when every touch Kris Boyd took was booed by the "home" support. It was embarrassing trying to explain this to a scouser workmate that came along to the match with me. Decided then I would never attend another Scotland match, with everything else that has happened I will not even watch them on the telly.
  17. Alternative seat is given. I have moved seats within the main stand but as our new seats have been sold for the ES game we have been given seats in the same section. Will get our own seats for the remainder of he season.
  18. Just home from getting my laddies season ticket today. I noticed the Ticket Office staff getting it sore in another thread so I would like to give them and the club a bit of credit. Arrived at 9am to be greeted with a wave from Mr Green who had been chatting to the guys already queuing. The queue was halfway along the Govan stand by this point. I eventually got to the ticket desk by 1pm but the chat in the queue was magic so the time passed by pretty quickly. Mr Green was out another couple of times during this period thanking everybody for turning up, supporting the club and apologising for the queues. Representatives from the club were out passing out juice and biscuits to everybody in the queue and even seen some tea and coffee getting passed around after it was requested by some of the older gents. When I got my boys ticket, the lassie was very helpful in changing my seat so that me and the boy can get our seats together. The cost of a juvenile ticket for Main Stand at £80 is brilliant too. On the way out the queue was all the way back to the Megastore. Going to be a long day for the Ticket Office staff. All in all a decent day and the signs are, that our club is now recognising the value of our supporters. After too many years where we lost focus, we are now doing things the Rangers way. Finally, can I say thanks to the bear in front of me who gave me his umbrella to keep my wee boy dry when the showers started. A good gesture from a gentleman who knows we look after our own. Cheers mate
  19. He was capable of signing a contract with our club in it's current position. That is more than Davis done. That should never be forgotten. Good luck Ian, I hope you prosper at our club whilst helping some of our young lads that will be playing around you.
  20. No way the Dundee Hibs will be run out of the game. The SFA/SPL will do all they can to support the club. That is what the Football Associations do.......isn't it? Anyway the Dundee derby is one of the big marketing gigs for the SPL this season. They will have full protection from Corruption Inc.
  21. I am no having this Black is gonnae do this and Jig is gonnae do that. That is just as bad as his foolish statements. We are Rangers, we are above all that nonsense. How about we simply go out there, be professional, show our greater abilitiy and rip him a new arsehole on the park with the ball. I want my club to move through these leagues with a bit of style, grace and dignity. I do not want to gather silly, silly vendettas along the way.
