  1. I am also from Pennyburn. Kilwinning was a good place to be when I was growing up......Winton, Vic bar, Segton and Cosy all good boozers. Stayed clear of Claremont bar though.
  2. From where we were last year, we have come a long way. Mr Green has been part of that. I trust him. JT is keeping a low profile at the moment which I find quite strange....... Does it seem plausible that Mr Green has something simmering away in the background and is quite happily playing with the press to keep them away from something more important (related to reconstruction perhaps)?
  3. Charles Green is fighting for our cause on all fronts......SFA, SPL, media (charlatans the lot of them) and that robbing bastard Whyte whilst keeping a watchful eye on they horrible rats across the city. As it stands he is doing a tremendous job of batting them all away in a fashion that his fellow countyman Mr Boycott would have been proud. And yet, we still have some questioning him.
  4. I don't remember Calderwood or any of the Dunfermline players celebrating with the opponents scarves at the final whistle.......oh wait, naw that is only St Midden players and particularly that jakie McGarvey that does that.
  5. Loved Mikey Mols. As someone mentioned earlier, we did not know really know what we were getting (despite wee Dick raving about him) but fuck me he was special. Sat beside him at Tannadice, the man was an absolute gentleman.
  6. Get your season pass from Ticket Office for £200. Guaranteed a space.
  7. Best of luck to Kevin. Hope he gets a good run, free from injuries. He loved playing for our club and if I remember correctly he said at the time that he never wanted to leave us, unfortunately he was a victim of the cost cutting/cashing in of Bain, Muir et al.
  8. No having that. Boyd left under freedom of contract (Bosman) whilst that other fanny left us whilst still under contract, denying us potential much needed revenue. The status and condition of the club was quite different when each of these individuals decided to leave our club. For me, Boydie is a fondly remembered ex Rangers player (who probably regrets leaving) whilst the other one is a tadger whose previous good deeds will always be tarnished with his final act towards our club (and fans).
  9. When we won the league at the piggery in 99 there were about 5 guys that rushed the turnstile just as I was going through. There were several ticket checks before you got near the ground so I don't know how they managed to get that close but they gathered together and went for the same turnstile. As the turnstiles were only half height they all louped over and were through. Wee ticket guy looked at me and shrugged his shoulders, don't think that was the first time it had happened to him that day.
  10. I agree, goalie definitely got a touch to it. Second goal was a belter too......dare I say, Coop would have been proud of that run and finish.
  11. Was at the game so not seen any highlights or replay but I thought he finished the first goal very well and his touch to skin the defender for his second was impressive. Seems to be a confident young lad with ability and he is happy to put a shift in, no matter the position or opposition. He will do for me.
  12. I would like to see the Arsenal shares within our possession once again. Lets get our club with it's traditions and history restored so we can shake that wee brass necked, thieving, charlatan fucker off our back once and for all.
  13. The claim that they listened to their fans was only a means to shift the blame onto them when it all goes wrong and the money runs out. Jealous cowards like Thompson, Liewell, Brown and Petrie were never going to let this chance to attempt to stiff us pass them by. They will always remain in our shadow, no matter the shitey stunts they pull.
  14. I was fortunate enough to attend the stadium tour on Saturday morning. It was refreshing to be reminded of some of the principles and traditions which have guided our club through the past 140 years. It is also clear that over the years we have shown faith and a consistent approach to the managers of our club (with a possible exception of Mr Le Guen unfortunately). This is surely one of the main reasons why we are the most successful club team in the world. No matter the level of opposition we face or the league we are playing in, this attitude should not change. "We don't do walking away" should work both ways.
  15. Some of the stuff written here after Saturday was disappointing. There is an element of quick tempers and short memories among some of our supporters. Listening to the Dundee Hibs fans singing their shite about us for almost all that game confirmed that we do not need to seek enemies for the the time being. We should be sticking together and fighting a common battle, not each other.
  16. Cheers for posting that Oleg. It is great seeing Miko once again. Only ever seemed to see his class in small patches during a game but there was no doubt he was special.
  17. My granny used to always talk about Rev Currie. He seemed to be a real hero of hers. Funny how generations have changed that a kirk minister was held in such high regard.
  18. I am on holiday so I am gutted I am missing today's game. Left my two tickets with my auld da, hope he goes!! Have a great day for all you that are lucky to be there. Belt it out, loud and proud. Let all the animals know, because they will be watching, that we truly are the people.
  19. The man is a real gentleman too. An ideal fit for captain of our club
  20. The issue of refusing tickets for "visiting" fans is not a new one. European ties against Leeds and Man Utd are recent examples when the club refused the allocation for our supporters. Slightly different circumstances, which had the agreement of both clubs and UEFA, however the precedent can not be ignored as fans safety was the reasoning was used then as it is now.
  21. I am also in the front row of Main Stand and have not seen him. SKY man is normally right in front of me. If Speirs is there I reckon he will be further along towards halfway line (closer to where the hospitality gets dished out).
  22. My highlight of this season was not a game or an individual performance. My highlight was standing in the queue at Ibrox on the 1st day of the public sale of season tickets. Place was mobbed, atmosphere among the fans was great and you could sense the defiance among the supporters even at that point. Couple of other things like Mr Green out thanking the queuing supporters and the lad standing in front of me deciding to buy himself a season ticket (he had been there originally to buy his son's ST) demonstrated we were doing things right despite the problems of the previous few months. That day confirmed that no matter what was thrown at us, we had the strength to fight back and come back even stronger.
  23. My lads season ticket was 80quid. Great value and a forward thinking gesture from the club.
