  1. Great page, one of my favourite things on Facebook. Keep up the good work.
  2. This. We would if we won the Scottish Cup though.
  3. Whit? That's not true. The Summer transfer window in Scotland opens on the 9th of June.
  4. This actually is short term-ism at its best. We need leaders now, and he is one. If he helps to coach and mentor the younger players, he's adding value to the team in the long term as well. On the assumption that most of our signings will be younger players, I'm happy with this one.
  5. Certainly unexpected, but the guy has a great track record at Stoke, Watford and Derby so I'm happy enough with this. A young team needs experienced characters, and I'm sure he'd add that experience.
  6. Posh spice is a slapper She's got a massive fanny And when she's shaggin Beckham She thinks of big Hemdani
  7. Good player, I reckon this would be a great signing. We need players who can pass it out from the back, and Kiernan is one of them. The fact he can play in both defense and midfield is an added bonus. Good age too, and should have plenty of sell on value if it comes to that. Also he was quality for me in football manager. A stalwart at the back during AFC Wimbledon's Europa League winning season.
  8. I assume they're referring to the fact he's Irish.
  9. Will be interesting to see what goalkeeper we sign, assuming we do. Apparently MW likes a keeper who's comfortable playing with the ball at his feet and sweeping up behind the defenders. Not sure Bell fits that mould, so I wouldn't be surprised if we did go to sign a keeper.
  10. Checked there, he's out of contract this summer. Seems like a good signing. Young, was apparently great for Wycombe last season and available on a free. Not sure if we'd have to pay Brentford compensation though.
  11. How is that bad? Surely more individual training time for each player can only be a good thing. I think the issue we had was more with the quality of training.
  12. I think the formation Brentford played was something like this: You could legitimately argue that it's a 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1, a 4-3-3, or some combination of the three. Good attacking formation regardless, and I'm genuinely excited about the coming season for the first time in quite a while.
  13. It's only a matter of time before the Warburton/Weir duo start being referred to collectively as Weirburton.
  14. Not really. Tommy Smith was good for them last season, and we've been linked with him before, but he's 35 now so I don't think he'd be the sort of player we'd be looking at. Nick Proschwitz is a big powerful striker, but his scoring record isn't exactly stellar. The rest are all various youth players I've never seen. A couple of the players out of contract next year look promising though. Was very impressed with what I've seen of Harlee Dean at centre half, very strong and only 23 as well. Will Grigg is out of contract at the end of next season too, he's a Northern Irish international striker who was top scorer for MK Dons last season when he was on loan there.
  15. Going to go for the cheap end of things, and I think there's a lot to be gained by plundering England's lower leagues. Dean Furman -Doncaster - Free (I think he'd be a fantastic signing, a leader on the pitch and a tough tackling CM who can still play football) Simeon Jackson - Coventry - Free (A strong, fast and hard working forward who does a lot in creating space for the rest of the team, would be like Kenny Miller but still good) Jay Emmanuel-Thomas - Bristol City - Free (Just seeing that he's been linked to QPR, may not be a feasible signing. Hopefully he'd choose the right Rangers though) Carlos Cuellar - Free With the team being something like this: Bell McGregor (As right-sided Papac) Cuellar Gasparotto Wallace Murdoch Furman Emmanuel-Thomas Law (I know, I know, but I'm certain there's a good player in there somewhere though.) Walsh Jackson I'd probably sign a right back too but I couldn't really think of any, maybe give Sinnamon a shot there. I'd mostly promote youth players for cover, with the possible addition of a couple of more experienced cheap free transfers to bolster the ranks. I'd re-sign Faure as well, because I liked him when he did play at centre half. Would sign Stevie May if he was available as well.
  16. Not keen on Liverpool, but I think those are two good signings they've made there. Ings is the kind of striker they need, strong, hard working and mobile. Fits into Rodgers's style of play, like Danny Graham did when he first went up with Swansea. Fits far better than than Balotelli does, who I reckon will be away to Italy this summer. Milner adds much needed physicality to the heart of their midfield, and he does everything well. He's also the type of solid yet unspectacular player that I love.
  17. Cuvelier would be a good signing I reckon. Was very impressed with him a few years ago when he was on loan at Walsall.
