  1. I'm playing this just now on my PC through an emulator - definitely a bit more confusing than Ocarina of Time, but it's slowly pulling me in. Don't know how they continue to do it, but every Zelda game just feels right.
  2. 1)"He's hit that too well" when someone smashes an effort over the bar. If he's not scored, then surely he's not hit it well enough? Usually said by some twat like Terry Venables! 2)"The lads gave 110% our there today" Percentage is really not a hard thing to work out - you can't give more than 100% effort. If Redknapp gets the England job, expect him to wheel this gem out when France spank them 4-0 in their opening group game. 3) "That was a typical forwards' tackle" This annoys me the most. If a guy is a professional footballer, chances are he's being playing from an early age, for talking sake, say 7 years old. He would've played with his mates at school, for local junior teams, trained 10,000 times, played in 1,000s of matches - but because he is now 28 and a striker, you're trying to tell me that he's never tackled before or doesn't know how to? Fair enough he might not be a beast in the tackle like a Baresi or Beckenbauer, but they should still have a fuckin' clue as to how to win a ball!
  3. Anyone know if the rumours about drop in frame rate and other bugs, as your save file gets bigger?! I'm level 24 now and got about 27 hours racked up and not experienced any issues apart from the game crashing twice and having to restart my PS3. Not usually into this type of game at all - but so far I think this is immense! Just worried about trying to find the time to play it now I'm back at work after the Xmas holidays!
  4. Seen that loads of times, but totally forgot about Goram's save at 9.33! For quite a short goalie, that was some spring and save from him.
  5. I was just about to start my 3rd year at uni, and my student loan had came through on the Friday before it! What a weekend that was! Still gutted we didn't hold on to win, but it really was end to end the whole game. Like others have said, pretty depressing to see the difference in quality - although I'm glad they don't have a total animal like Balde in their team anymore!
  6. Ah the memories, that was my first European away trip as a fresh-faced 17 year old. Performance was excellent - what a team we had then! And to think we probably should've beaten Parma in the following round too - well, until Big Amo handled the ball that is!
  7. Cheers for the info guys - none of us are particularly loud mouths or likely to cause bother (suppose it all depends on how drunk I am and the result!) - but always best to stay on the safe side!
  8. Although I'm a twat and just realised that the Sandy Row Rangers club isn't actually on Sandy Row. In saying that, it's only a couple of miles down the road - so a taxi would be no bother.
  9. Staying in the Holiday Inn on Ormeau Avenue - just checked the map and it's right round the corner from Sandy Row - so that seems like a decent shout! Cheers
  10. Morning all Me and a few mates are heading to Belfast for New Year and will be there up until the night of the 2nd. Now I know that there will be plenty of places in Belfast to watch the game - but does anyone have any recommendations? And where we can have a proper bouncy and not get a kicking! Never watched an Old Firm game outside of Glasgow - so looking forward to it - and couldn't imagine a better place than Belfast to do it!
  11. www.pesfan.com is a good site to go on to get edited option files. A few folk working on them the now - should be ready soon - with all strips, players etc. Can't wait for someone to make a half-decent Ibrox as well!
  12. Heading up with a few mates on the train - Scotrail are doing a good deal the now. £25 return for 2 tickets - anywhere in Scotland for the whole of September! Absolute bargain - £12.50 a head to see us give the Sheep a long overdue hammering! I'm sticking a fiver on 3-0 to the Champions!
  13. Cuellar is probably the exception - but even then, they only became aware of him as we played against Osasuna!
  14. 2 call any team that wins a treble, be it Rangers, Man Utd, Celtic or whoever, mediocre is absolutely absurd! Especially a team that won 2 trebles in 3 years. I know I shouldn't get annoyed by paranoid, bitter Tim journos, but I do!
  15. My mate is getting married that day - so I'm actually a wee bit relieved now that we didn't make the final! I don't think I could have handled choosing between an Old Firm cup final, with us going for the treble, or my mate getting married..............actually, that's a lie, I would've watched the game and just turned up late! Least I can be there for the whole day now!
  16. Dont bother paying for them - go to pesfan.com and register (it's free). Large forum on the site - with a section dedicated to option files - some of them are crackers!

    PES IS BACK

Must admit I thought the UK demo was pretty ropey - and I've always been a fan of PES over FIFA. But I also set up a Japanese account and got the Japanese demo which is so much better! Less clunky, smoother animation and much crisper passing. God knows why they decided to release such a shoddy demo on the UK PS Store as I think it'll definitely put people off and make them buy FIFA instead.
  18. I was in the Fiorentina end, to the left of the goals, at the end where the penalties happened. I managed to film them on my camera - despite shaking with nerves throughout the whole thing - mainly because we were worried about getting a shoeing if we won! I'll try and upload the video as it's quality - and the ridiculous noise I make when Novo strokes his pen home, I think would sum up exactly how everyone of us felt that night! (although I'm not quite sure how I made such a high pitched noise while still owning testicles!) Florenece is a cracking place as well - full of gorgeous birds, the food is awesome and the stadium sold Peroni on draught! What more can you ask for!
  19. That's pretty shite. Did you just make that up? Its not shite. It happened. It was hilarious. Any real bear that was there at the time will remember. That was a great tune, it was also sung at Ibrox directed to Dalglish when he was in charge of them. Aye thats it. I remeber the whole of McDermaid park singing it. The locals were not chuffed with us having a title party there but they were in a very small minority of the 'home' crowd. Just like to echo what the boys above have said - it might not look great written down, but it was amazing that day! I think what made it so good is that we sang it for near enough the entire 2nd half!
  20. When Miller doesn't need to think about a chance, it seems to come natural to him and he buries them! The problem is that the other 99% of a season he'll have all the composure of Jodie Marsh sitting a Mensa entry test! His touch is that bad at times I actually think Miller is just all shin from the neck down. And Durie's may have been just as bad but his overall play and finishing was much better than Miller - not a chance Miller would ever score a hat trick in a cup final at Hampden!
  21. As always Chick Young talking out his hole. I was in the back row of the North Stand tonight - and at the end of the game Bougherra came over to throw his gloves to a fan. It was hardly a walk to the stand and a farewell clap. Novo was signing autographs and getting photos taken with fans at half time - but I don't see that being an indication of anything either. Just more lazy journalism from Chick Young.
  22. Utter rubbish. You don't have a mate. this is true forrest gump loyal Don't worry mate - they obviously don't realise how close you are to Ally Bongo and Milhouse!
