I agree we need to live within our means, we also need to get back to the top again ASAP. The old saying is you cant accumulate if you dont speculate though. Our income should still be very strong so we should still be able to afford a better player than the leagues we play in through the divisions.

If some of these players want to stay, we should be doing everything we can to keep them. Even if it comes down to the RFF being used. I am certainly of the opinion that not only will ticket and merchandise sales remain, they will actually increase. As long as the management are taking us forward we will be there. Only when we have a set back will this be tested.

I think you are, they will struggle as they will feel they can walk it. They will continue to demolish our co-efficient for the CL so at least we will get a laugh

How fucking good would it be if they didnt win the league this season! They are going to need to keep focused cause they need rivals to keep motivated, others may just want it more.

Yesterday I was getting wound up by a few from the dark side, telling all about how they were now going to win ten in a row. Their theory is by the time we are back in the SPL (as if thats even going exist soon!) they will be on four in a row. Then we will take another two or three seasons to get to their level (ffs I couldnt wipe the smile off my face). They would then push on for ten in a row. This all because they are on a better finacial footing and will be for some time. I pointed out to them that we were on a better finacial footing since Walter returned and how well have they done since then. Their smiles faded and they started to mumble. I then ponted out that they could count on the CL money.... no wait a minute with you guys not being able to win a euro game the co-efficient will go through the floor. The conversation stopped soon afterwards :uk:

Well informed from Hong Kong! There is only one consortium who have looked after our interests so far, let see how your man gets on with buying the club, cause at the moment he looks like being a long way off.

Im not certain who exactly is correct with all these quotes flying about, some saying is all ok others saying it armageddon. However,I certainly dont see how 1 sell out game can make everything ok as: 1 They have no chance of doing so as their hatred for us does not mean they love their own clubs enough to do so. 2 They are limited by their stadium size, so not all clubs will be the same 3 The games that attract the biggest crowds are against the OF 4 The TV & sponsorship money needs to be taken into account 5 Their motivation will now fade away as they feel they have achieved their goal (we have still to achieve ours) I certainly feel that 5/6 teams will really feel the price of their decisions and at best they will really struggle to pay their way and at worst I think the SPL may not be played out this season with so many clubs going into admin. However as another thread suggests, the SPL will now be sympathetic towards clubs in this situation.

Admitedly no Rangers but I do also watch La Liga, F1, Champions league (pity no scottish teams this year cause we know what their record is like )
