  1. Hopefully this will calm some of the madness, although I expect not.
  2. sorry mate what 8million offer are you referring to? and i hardly think that sending out season ticket renewal forms early is a justified reason for the abuse he is getting. Do you?
  3. I really don't understand how people can't clearly distinguish between a CLUB whcih was formed in 1872 and a COMPANY formed in 1899. Yes they are connected but the company and the club are not the same I don't understand how people can swallow the "club is dead" argument. I would also like to see someone from Rangers come out and take the media to task for their false reporting and scaremongering on this issue over the past few days.
  4. aye he should have definately walked out to get pelters, the fact that he didnt want people irrationaly giving him abuse for absolutely zero is clearly out of order.
  5. Nah mate I think you might have misunderstood, he said that Greens first offer (the cva) was the best offer and his newco was the second best offer (meaning he had both first and second in terms of offers on the table) At least thats what I took from it.
  6. Surely they would want to be there as long as possible. Every day the club is in Admin they rack up their fees. So that point doesnt really make sense to me. Apart from that, if you think a story of this magnitude wouldnt have got leaked from Ibrox you obviously haven't been paying attention to the multitude of confidential/private information thats found its way into the media.
  7. Well I must be mad then cause I would definatly give him a chance, he deserves support until he does somethhing that means otherwise, all he's been guilty of so far is being the man whos stepped up when nobody else would and put his money where his mouth is. As far as I can tell he's been open and honest with us and as much as Walter is a legend it doesnt mean we should start hounding this guy out. Not when he was the only man with the bottle to do the ugly work and try and take us forward. Where were The Mcolls and Parks last week? Yes smith gets my backing but he has been offered a place in the new regime and if he is serious about trying to keep the fans informed and help safeguard our future then I can't see why he wouldnt take him up on that. He can do alot of good within the Green regime rather than split fans and cause mayhem with an extremely late rival bid and calls for him to step aside when the deal has already been done.
  8. This is just astounding. Rather than get behind the new owner we have some spitting the dummy. For anyone to say this is not anti green is ridiculous, now im not saying I wouldn't love Walter back however Green and Khan have both said they would welcome him with Open arms as well as any other investors from his group. Its simple if you want to safeguard the club then get involved, simply asking a man on the day he's purchased the club to "step aside" for an extra £500k is hardly being serious. And another thing, we know next to nothing about this bid other than the names of three people involved and just because we have a legend as the spokesman/front we're all supposed to jump ship and blindly follow, im sorry but that sort of naive thinking of not questioning the people in charge will have us back up to our necks in it. For me Green has done nothing wrong, in fact he has been pretty consistently open and honest with us about his intentions and for that reason I will not be attending. I attended the march on hampden because I felt that was a justified and had us uniting for a common goal at last, this I feel will be detrimental and destructive. It's simple if Walter and his backers want the club either join green as he's pretty graciously offered or pay him a decent figure for his efforts (and what now looks like av forthcoming struggle)
  9. I have to say I was impressed by him as well, it was the first time I saw him and think he handled himself very well and showed some poise when up against Kelly, loved when he was shouting about punishments and stripping of titles and Chris put an end to it when he said "I think you would have to prove that first" Very simple and succinctly put. Innocent until proven guilty and all that. All in all thought he did a good job, well done!

  11. Yes I agree but thats also what walter and his consortium are planning "turnaround plan to ensure within a few years the club can be passed on intact and to the right people." So we should also be aware that walter and his backers aren't exactly in this for the long haul either also the statement: "None of our group has any desire to own Rangers Football Club but we have put this deal in place to save the club." is hardly conmforting, it would lead me to believe we're hardly going to get a pipeline to Jim Mccolls millions. I'd also argue if saving the club is their primary concern get involved and take up the position offered by green and invest in the consortium so they have a say in how the club is run and then they can safeguard the future like they want. Ideally i'd love to see them working side by side with green to ensure there are as many Rangers men involved as possible.
  12. Ah here we go ex Septic director is wanting our titles now for "ineligible players", the guy Chris Graham answered him fairly well "prove it".....
  13. Acht she's no bad, for me its just the way she's putting her points across she seems to be fairly happy with the situation. To be honest im probably just on the defensive with this programme from the off because the motives are clear, rake up the muck exploit our grief and cast shadows on our future.
  14. This tax lawyer lassie is doing her best to talk us up eh......
  15. Mate im just being realistic, it's all well and good to think about how sweet it would be for Walter to come back and save us however the reality is Green has the power, has invested a fair amount already and I cant see him leaving without something to show for it, if reports of the bid only being £500k more than greens are correct then I can't see Green settling for something as little as that. It would all depend on how much Walter and his consortium are willing to pay Green and to be honest the guy doesnt seem to be the type that would give a monkeys if the fans hated him he'll do what makes him money. But as I said I would love it to be Walter but not at the expense of drawing this saga out another X amount of months with nothing to show for it at the end apart from fans in different camps at each others throats like we've had in the past. Although this would be less likely seeing as its Walter and most fans would be behind him. Im just interested in putting this sorry episode behind us and getting us back to steady footing, at the end of the day if green can do that then I cant say I'd stand in his way.
  16. i would LOVE to see walter back as much as the next fan however we would be naive to think green will simply walk away, he's invested far too much already to do that. What I fear is that now Sir Walter has announced this we're back to the infighting and bickering again like the tbks etc, as it stands greens the man with the power in terms of his agreement with D&P's IMO it would be unwise to start waging war against the guy who pretty much holds us in the palm of his hand. It's hardly going to help any potential negotiations with walters consortium. God, just when i thought we were about to get things sorted it feels like we're back to square one again.
  17. cheers mate, hope its true to lose coisty would be devastating. I also agree that he should be given a fair bit of leeway as well given what he had to deal with at the club it would have been near impossible for most people to keep us together the way he did, the fact that he's a fan as well makes all the difference IMO.
  18. where did you see this mate? After 13 pages im not sure I'm any clearer on the issue at all. People say he's going others say he's staying. Wish the man himself would come out and out an end to the rumour. Surely we deserve that much.
  19. Yep exactly right, all this "a source said" or any of its variations are used by the media to get away with murder. They obviously can't be expected to reveal their confidential sources now can they...i mean i'm sure they definately exist....
  20. Well, knowing the SPl they will have some reason for keeping it secret (the clubs involved would probably hope for this as well due to their own fans threats of boycots if they vote rangers back in to the spl) I agree that we should be commiting those who are against us (not just in this respect but in all others as well, ie media etc) to our memory and ensure that we make them understand we are not to be taken lightly.
  21. Ah, more nonsense. It seems it never ends. This entire article is pure conjecture Herald Sport understands seems to be a license for them to then make alot of unfounded claims and statements, as soon as i see a phrase like this or "a source said" my bulls**t detector goes into overdrive.
  22. I think we'd be packed for the first few games but that would slowly pass, I reckon we'd be about 10-12k. that is untill we got ourselves back to the spl (if it even exists without us) then the rest of them would come back as if they were never away.
  23. Why can people not just mind their own business, can the media outlets not find someone better to talk utter rubbish than the Leyton Orient Chief Exec? Scraping the bottom I think. then again everyone else who doesnt matter has had their say why not this guy....
  24. Well from this it looks like he could be gone, hopefully not but you really can't blame him or any other players for leaving. The fact they did what they did to help us should never be forgotten and it buys them plenty of goodwill from me.
  25. It is ridiculous the amount of sensationalist rubbish we have to read, the sad thing is some folk just take it as fact and dont bother to do any thinking of their own. I did not support The Rangers Football Club Plc 1899 I support the club. I still do today, still will tomorrow and still will till theres no more breath left in me. No amount of scaremongering by the media or anyone else will change that. If it does for some people good luck to you in your future endeavours, we don't need you.
