I agree and looking pragmatically as long as we keep wages sensible and McGregor really is over his injury problems its not bad business, not exciting or thrilling signings but hopefully decent enough for us at the moment. Id like to see a couple of younger players either signed or more likely promoted to the first team from the U20s to balance things out.

Or we could utilize the young players we already have for free. Who would you rather see next season McGregor or Gasparotto, Cowie or Murdoch, Boyd or Gallagher? Experience is fine but we have enough experienced players we need someone to get the support excited like Macleod and McKay did 2 years ago until Lewis had his injury issues and Barrie was dropped and shunted out on loan.

Sure some good players there however Cowie or any other player we have\want are nowhere near the standard of most of those guys. Judge every signing on its merits but a pattern of signing older journeymen has become obvious and that's what annoys fans rather than the actual players themselves.

He's probably a decent pro but again its a area we have plenty of cover and a player who is coming into the twilight of his career. I think what upsets people isn't the player so much as the fact we have been sold an idea of a mix of youth and experience that's what the CEO said only a few days ago yet we see nothing on the youth side and plenty of the "decent journeymen" who optimize Allys transfer policy since 2011, yes we are not getting the next Ronaldo at 17 but there's good players like Andrew Robertson who could easily have been given a chance and were ignored for the likes of Kevin Kyle or John Daly.
