We could have put Callum Gallagher up front or Danny Stoney or Nicky Clark could have got more games or Ryan Hardie could have played or other young strikers that we have but to play a clearly burnt out and now it turns out injured player whilst claiming "we had no other options" is a insult to the young lads who did so well for the U20s.

As I said in my post the young players all seem to listen to Jig and respect him and as he's doing his badges anyway why not let him do it here and still keep him as emergency backup on the pitch?

I think City and United were both watching Robbie but thankfully he and his brother signed new deals with us recently. Yeah it's bizarre how we have all this debate about no scouts and then we get these random reports about Norwegian keepers and whatnot

This Ally is trying to keep his mate's together in the same way he did when Green wanted to sack Durrant and McDowell 18 months ago or so. Nerlinger is a threat to the old guard and Ally is probably worried for his job and that of his coaching staff which is understandable but standing in the way of Rangers progress is not going to be tolerated no matter whether Ally thinks he is in the right or not.

There's still a place for Jig and it's mainly as a coach in my view all the younger players are talking about his talking them through games and how he conducts himself and that points to him having the knack for coaching and playing a part in the future of Rangers but the future for us shouldn't be Jig starting at CB anymore but a useful sub to have nevertheless.

A chief scout would be great and much needed that's for sure but this idea that we couldn't of spotted guys like Robertson or given our own youth players a chance when the league was won because of no scouts is just nonsense I'm afraid. Ally has to be honest and admit he has not got everything right and not try to pretend he had no other choices.

Nobody expected our U20 team to become our first team but giving 5 or 6 players a run of games once we were 20 odd points ahead last season would of been invaluable experience for them and shaken up the likes of Law, Daly and Mohsni who had become complacent and disinterested by then
