  1. At the same time as praying that we can somehow find a way to look like an organised team tonight, I'm also wondering who might be picking the team for Sunday.
  2. Makes sense to me, given what's available. And then I remember what a whole summer-and-a-bit of this coaching team trying to convey new tactics to these players has looked like.
  3. PSV seeing the sore difference in playing against a well-drilled team, knowing exactly what is expected of them and totally confident in executing it. We used to be good against teams who would expect to beat us and played accordingly. Now it's just a thoughtless and nervous race to give the ball away, something that might get really embarrassing (again) against a decent team.
  4. Another example of a glaring weakness that's just been ignored, one of many.
  5. Once, just once, to have a management team who the players look like they respect, seem to have a clue about what he wants them to do, and want to give everything for. To be given a budget and control of a transfer policy, and doing this with it. Not helped himself by choosing to keep losers who so obviously gave up with his predecessor too.
  6. Changing to a completely different setup against a quality team presents a challenge already, but for a team that's laboured to keep the ball and create against the likes of Kilmarnock, Morton and Ross County, it's going to be a struggle.
  7. Combine that with a confusing transfer policy, minimal time between games to train players to look like they know what's going on...not great.
  8. Can't concentrate for long enough to make it easy...one day it will click.
  9. It's chronic all the time, a million miles away from looking fluent.
  10. One ball out from the back, taking out 6 Rangers players...attention spans of goldfish.
  11. It's amazing how far off the ball and opponent they are all the time, but also on the wrong side and having to chase back.
  12. Look inept for 45 minutes, give them all the space and time they want, lull them into a false sense of security - genius!
  13. Stated perfectly. Demanding respect from a club whose name you can't even bring yourselves to say, for a club where even the most mild-mannered players, many of whom had never heard of you before they signed a contract, are indoctrinated into paranoia and contempt as soon as they are in the door. They hate you as a matter of club policy, more of our players would do well to learn that.
  14. Relief at avoiding the humiliation, but this team is just broken in so many ways.
  15. Newteampatienceitwillcome. Looking this chronic at moving a ball around a pitch is understandable in these early stages, and it won't be every week we'll be asked to get past tough opponents like Servette and Morton.
  16. I had it as lack of confidence, but being this inept at the basics does look like pure fear.
  17. Limbs, deflections and blind hope going forward, defenders jumping underneath hopeful high balls in defence. Just once make it look fluent, please.
  18. I think it's more fear than complete lack of interest. He's never going to be one for rallying the team when necessary, and it's probably too embarrassing to dig out others when he's declining so noticeably.
  19. Something that set in a long time ago. Being second best doesn't hurt enough, professional slights don't get them angry enough, pride in winning doesn't matter enough. Not having a clue of what you're being asked to do won't help.
  20. All that investment and hard work paying off already, lovely stuff!
