Don't think for a minute these are Warburtons pals in the press. King's first and most important signing for him at Rangers was Jim Traynor's PR guys, they are the ones who build the hype and will drop Warburton on the instruction of King. I'm not questioning Warburton's abilities as a manager here as that is a separate topic all together. With Traynor onside nobody in the pack is going to question King or remind the readers about all the broken promises as they depend on him for the stories to sell their papers, others like Derek Johnstone depend on the salary so you are not going to get Clyde etc reminding folks of the promises he made to the fans.

King is here to collect what he lost to murray, that's been my thinking on this from the beginning and nothing has changed. At one point the oldco looked ripe for pickings and he came out with a couple of statements regarding getting that back but when it turned out that it wasn't going to pay out it was quickly dropped.
