I agree, the keeper punting the ball is entirely pointless. When you are technically superior to the opposition, why put the ball in the sky? Just makes the game a lottery. I also cannot understand why we bring the entire side back to defend a corner; it usually only means we have to defend everything twice.

Footballers are never strangers. Its usually just another excuse for a poor start to the season. I will file this alongside 'its their cup final', 'we have had no pre season' and 'the banter is poor'.

You never actually state why he deserves more time or say what has impressed you about his 16 months in charge. You just blindly defend him, without even considering the countless relevant points many people make.

We are short of numbers, that is a problem. With Little out injured I would like Sandaza to get a run. He has not impressed much but he has something about him, it just has not worked yet for various reasons. Sandaza upfront with Mckay in behind. McKay is our most exciting player with Templeton out at the moment, so lets move him into the hub of the action and away from that bloody wing. Mckay centrally may also help our static midfield trio, who do not have a creative idea between them.

After watching Perry and Cribari, I would consider playing lee at centre half. I do not like him playing in the middle of the park, or as a striker. I think he is a dreadful, and the notion that he may be 'rewarded' with a new contract is scandalous. I want footballers at Rangers, not big lumps who barely contribute.

So you called my statement outrageous but will not indicate whether you think I was telling the truth or not? Its supporters like me that ensure the club must strive to get better. Too many fans willingly accept dross, and even make excuses for the drivel on show. I only criticise when its justified, and unfortunately at the moment, criticism is most definitely needed. The lack of professionalism at the club has been going on for years, almost a decade, and I am desperate for a man with a plan to take control of the team and reshape and redesign our footballing outlook. The club can achieve so much, more than most fans realise, but until we get the right man, we will continue to huff and puff domestically and flounder in Europe when we return. For what I want for our club, Ally is incapable of delivering.

I am not criticising him as a man, I am criticising him as a manager. I have only uttered the truth, it would be outrageous to say I have posted otherwise.

I have stated he should go. In fact I wanted him gone last season. We will at best tread water while he remains in charge. Ally was my hero growing up, but I have absolutely no problem stating he is a shocking manager. I fully accept others struggle to criticise the man, but he fails to meet my high standards for the club in almost every department. In my opinion he will not be the manager in 2013, and that will be good news for him, the club and the fans.

He does not deserve more time based on his management skills, he has already had too long. We all respect Ally but we are not running a charity. He is in a position of significant importance and is out his depth. What is the point in waiting until it gets really bad? You know it, I know it, everybody knows he will never be good enough. He may finally improve to a decent standard, but that is still not good enough for our club.

Its important that the support do not kid themselves. Your post is fine, but I get the sense you want Ally removed to a more suitable role within the club. He is not capable of managing Rangers, and it is therefore important to not skirt the issue. Be bold and state the obvious; its time he went. He will never be good enough. Its time we were all truthful.

All supporters hold Ally in high regard, and I am sure Ally accepts any criticism is clearly not personal, how could it be. My point is, the poster should not feel dirty for stating the obvious.

He is a bit mental, but does play an attractive brand of football. With two or three years to implement his style before we reach the top, he could be a reasonable choice. Maybe not him, but somebody with the same philosophy would be welcome.

Yeh, I am in complete agreement. McDowell or any of the current back-room team should have no role going forward. My point was that you could put him in temporary charge until you find the right man. 3, 4 or 5 games with McDowell in charge could not be that bad, well certainly not any worse. I hope....

Using your logic, we did well to take it to penalties then? of course we went out to a team in a higher division, but the fact we have just sent a player out on loan to a club in a 'higher division' only highlights the uniqueness of our situation. Our wage bill is higher than every club bar one in Scotland. The league above line is nonsense, and is not a valid excuse.

Why do we need an automatic choice to replace Ally? Put McDowell in charge for the short term, and apply the management search high and wide and invite applications. Whittle down the list until you have a short-list of suitable names, interview them, and then pick the best candidate. We are a 3rd division club in name only, and the calibre of manager we can attract is significantly higher than some would believe.
