  1. How are we going to move them on? .paying off the rest of black, sandazas contracts would cost hundreds of thousands as nobody can afford their wages.
  2. There is no point. Some people have their views on the legend rather thab the manager. Im guessing greig had it for a while before it all went wrong
  3. The laugh being on paper our squad is far superior to theirs.
  4. But it shouldnt be about the product its all about the club....
  5. So even against part time teams we need a big squad fighting for places?! I keep harping back to other teams but why is it thistle, morton, ICT, ross county can play good football with a low wage bill yet we cant??
  6. It shoulf make no difference who you play for. If ally was as good a manager as some try to make out he would be man managing these guys and telling them what they are required to do and more importantly how to achieve it. Its not rocket science! In the case of hemmings he needs a strike partner id suggest on a regular basis. One bad game doesnt make a bad player but paying a lone striker and expecting him to score for fun when their is no creativit in midfield is not going to work. As seen all season long.
  7. I agree we need new players. Even before the start of this season it was obvious we needed a creative midfielder and centre backs. However we do have a good mix of pros and younger players who have lets be frank bar 2 home games have been very very poor. Mitigating circumstances or not ally needs to be doing better with the squad he has. Bringing in extra players will make no difference if we have no direction, shape or philosophy. But again my point. Morton, thistle, ross county all have shoe string budgets yet play good football and in thistles case have been winning big most weeks. Why can ally not do this with a superior group of players againt poorer opposition?
  8. Seriously! How big a squad does he need to win another part time league. If he brings in another 10 on spl wages and we cant shift the current duds we are going to have a man city size squad with a ridiculous wage bill. Why is it that teams such as thistle who get a crowd of roughly 4k a week can play great football, thrashing teams most weeks in a shoe string budget yet our manager feels we need to splurge our resources to get that success. Things just dont add up.
  9. The issue I take with the pro ally support is their lack of evidence to back up their stance. The doubts raised by results past and present added to his lack of tactical nouse are met by responses of "he saved us, he stood by us, without ally there would be no rangers" or hes had no time to pick a team". The responses may in part be true however when it comes to manager ally mccoist ive not seen one valid argument as to why he is a good manager. Hence blind faith behind the legend rather than the manager starts to show through.
  10. We should be saving the money and instead getting in Top sfl players as at the end of the day that is all we require. By all means get an ajax esque academy on the go but surely for the next 2 seasons (barring reconstruction) we shouldn't be spending 4-5k a week on so called spl/internationals. An example of this being thistle who are playing good football/banging in goals for fun on a shoe string budget.
  11. The difference being Ferguson had won the cup winners cup with Aberdeen and was rightly afforded time due to his previous abilites. Also consider the level of opposition Man Utd were up against. Now...Compare with Rangers in the bottom tier of Scottish football against part time teams with a manager who whether people like it or not does not have a good track record(before the shit hit the fan).
  12. In our current position we shouldn't have to endure 'a couple years of pain'. With the size of the club/support and the wealth we have at our disposal we should be able to produce a product on the park that is at least slightly entertaining for the paying punter whilst working our way up the divisions. If we were starting in the spl with very little money and a team full of under 16's I could understand that argument but with our current squad and resources there should be no excuses.
  13. Most ST holders like myself will renew(Circumstances pending) however as seen by the last few games if the football is still terrible to watch attendances will drop.
  14. No. The honest reason being none of my mates wanted to go...Should have put it on here mind.
  15. Smith at least could set a team out properly, got the basics right and more importantly could change a game with a substitution. Yes at times it wasn't entertaining but the level of opposition we were up against did require the "win at all costs" attitude. Fast forward to McCoist...Id suggest hes trying to be Smith but failing. Yes we are winning the league but he cant set a team up properly, we cant pass the ball and he doesn't have a clue how to change a game once its started. This against part time players.
  16. Ill get slaughtered for this but i havent been to the last 2 home games for this very reason. I got fed up of sitting in the cold/wet watching the ball hoofed about for 90 minutes with no enjoyment. Ive been a ST holder for many years and this is the first time ive missed 2 home games in a row.
  17. Also heard they are playing full time internationals not butchers and bakers!!
  18. I would accept win at all costs had we been playing spl sides BUT not in the 4th tier of scottish football. We are playing with internationals, so called SPL Quality and apparent pick of the youth players in scotland yet we struggle week in week out to beat part timers. This in my view is not acceptable.
  19. Is this sarcasm?? Elgin are a mid to bottom 3rd division team and we scrape by with a very poor performance.
  20. If the manager was of a capable level even for the 3rd division he would realise that to beat part time teams you make them chase the ball. Our players should have a much higher level of fitness to that of part time players...but we dont. The whole set up is a shambles. I would suggest the entire team is lacking fitness, players are played in the wrong position, tactically we play into p/t teams hands by playing long ball/slow passing and a lack of movement as shown by most games this season. As one of the many season ticket holders at Ibrox in my opinion watching games first hand we are clueless/dire and have been for most games this season apart from I would suggest Motherwell and Alloa. Thats my opinion.
  21. We may have won these games by a margin but i would suggest 3/4 of those have been at a struggle. Having only missed a handful of home games this season i can safely say we have been dire. We struggle to break teams down and add to that the shambles at the back we are lucky were in the 3rd tier The size and quality of our squad should be hamering part time teams on a weekly basis(No disrespect to the other p/t teams).
  22. For the 3rd or 2nd(Depending on reconshambles) we dont need to be buying players. The list of out of contract spl players was post recently im sure, a fair few in particular younger players who we could bring in to start re-building.
  23. personally id suggest Derek Adams. Not just from todays result but he has done a cracking job for Ross County on a hee haw budget.
  24. That result has been long overdue...we have been dodging a bullet for most of the season. Whats more worrying is Ally having more money to burn in the summer!
