I think there is a place for this in BD because we have been fucked royally for years now due to debt. I see Patrick thistle have restructured their £1.5 million pound debt and now consider themselves debt free. The same happened to Dundee United, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, in the past year and they apparently got rid of millions of pounds of debt. We have all probably read of the tims debt but they are able to service due to their lack of competition and always feeding off the top table to a certain extent. My point is though debt does not just go away. Someone has bought the debt and it is still there. So all this talk of big bad Rangers and stripping of titles is the most hypocritical attempt at undermining us ever. Who the fuck do these people think they are. Rant over and if it shouldn't be in here please move.

I agree we got fucked over big time in 2012 and illegally, however the big difference this time is that we are in a better place with our current board and we would fight any attempts to strip us of titles legally.

don't know if anyone else noticed it but BBC quoted this evening that Inverness caly had increased their profit to 1/4 million this year. Basically to a player sale. When have we ever heard anything about club financial details. Inverness Caley numbers are good so Scottish football is good. Fucking pish.

In breach of what other rules??? I keep reading that EBT's were legal when we used them and all parties were aware we used them, and that our £250k fine was for a fairly minor admin failure related to side letters. So how can this suddenly become a title stripping issue, now that HMRC deem ebt's illegal. Sorry if I,m being a bit thick on this. However I am extremely confused

Something that has bothered me and I don't think there is a specific thread for it, however, what right did that judge have in saying players may have gone elsewhere if they had not been offered ebt's at Rangers. Surely that was not in his remit to give an opinion on footballing matters. Was the appeal not on whether ebt's were a legit loan scheme and therefore had no tax burden. His "extra" little comments have absolutely ensured a shitstorm.

Just to keep this thread going caus it is pretty important but, I believe newco agreed to take on the football debts of oldco, possibly in the 5 way agreement. Now does that mean money only or could it mean a points deduction transferred to us. Or in fact something worse. I may be way off beam here caus emotions are pretty high but just how much could we suffer because of the previous agreements.

This is where the head must rule the heart. The scum thot they cud pile up the prize money by getting us out of the equation but it has worked against them. Competition is shit, interest goes down, so does revenue and therefore quality. We need decent opposition to create interest otherwise what is the point.

Hate to disagree with you mate but I think we should all care. I loved the games against the top teams in Europe. It was incredibly exciting and helped us attract some great talent. So we should all care.

Agreed we might not have improved it very much. However any improvement is better than 2nd worse decline. They screwed us big time and ensured this decline all for the benefit of "them" and it has backfired big time.

I've given Law plenty of stick for past couple of years but today esp 2nd half I thot he turned a corner. At one point he had the ball, could not see a pass, and went on a surging forward run beating three players. Thought he had a good game and I,m beginning to see why he starts every game.
