For my colleges on follow follow squad of Rangers fans in the bar today and the atomspher and beer are quality and Jim the owner is a magic Rangers fan through and through lads comments slagging the bar on follow follow out of order tough competition for bars down here so if we don’t support our bars they will be gone And reduce to drinking in plastic cups on tin bars WTP FTP

During the seventies and eighties was never a problem popping in to a few pubs on the way to the game, or drinking a few cans or bottles on the way, then popping in to a local off license to stock up and smuggle some cans and bottles in for the game itself. Then plenty of pubs down the PRW or in to Partick on the subway to carry on drinking in the many Gers pubs of the time, or piling in to local pubs on away games that were always happy to take money.
Modern supporters need to man up and carry on these traditions by making more of an effort, at least most of our current players seem to understand our traditions and still apparently have a well boozed, well practised drink culture, even now Ally has gone.......... fuxache next thing you know fans will be forgetting the correct words for "The Billy Boys".
And by the way, I suspect the OP's drink of choice may be red wine and wafers followed by a bumming from the priest.

I have the Britannia club on Facebook and always mean to go in to see the place when I go to Greenock. They look like a good group of punters who travel. Reminds me of my times traveling on that bus. I know what your saying about the Greenock Rangers bus and it was also like that when I travelled with them. The club is not very welcoming either.

Living in England now so travel by car when I can. When living in Greenock many moons ago used to travel with the Britannia bus and the Greenock Rangers club. Have used the head of the hill bus in the port as well. Seems a long time ago now.

Whilst trawling round other Rangers supporters sites I have noticed that there is always fans asking where they can go for a drink or to watch a match with fellow bears when they visit other areas of Scotland. The response inevitably is not very many places. I know we are the biggest club in the country so how do you think we are struggling to find suitable boozers. If your a tim or a nat there doesn't seem to be the same problem. This then gives the impression that we are in the minority, surely this can't be true. Opinions please.

Have supported Rangers since I was old enough to remember along with the vast majority of my family. Used to go to lots of Scotland matches also during that time and loved the old home international tournaments. They were great years for football and the crowds were amazing at the big international matches. The years have never diminished my love for Rangers and all they stand for but I cannot say the same for the Scotland national team. I would have to say that my loyalty to Rangers far outweighs my love of Scotland. In fact since these snp wanks have come to power I feel isolated from the views of these people and the average scot (who invariably seem to support the scum or the diddy teams ) and I have no further desire to stand on a terracing listening to there braveheart pish again. I live in England now but have always defended Scotland through thick and thin but not now. One day I hope for Scotlands sake attitudes improve and supporters like me may well return to the national team. But for now the only team that gives me pride in my national thinking is the Rangers. To all my fellow bears let's hope we can get back to where we belong under Stevie Ger. ??

It is not the league that generates the cash but two teams in this league only. The rest are just making up the numbers and living of the top two. They all hate us but love our money. After what these teams along with the filth have done to us in the past years it's time for us to look after ourselves and screw our haters. We need to ensure we are properly rewarded for what we generate and make deals relevant to our stature as the best supported team in this country. With talk of different setups in Europe possibly coming soon it is vital that we are at the top table. Our history, achievements, loyalty and particularly our support which is one of the best in Europe should ensure we are there. We have no voice in Europe unlike the tims and you can rest assured they will be looking after themselves only. We should strive to gain stature in England with the help of our current manager which will lead to more exposure on the continent. We also need to get in positions of influence in both Scottish and European football. We are bigger than the scum and deserve our voice to be heard. It goes without saying but the team needs to winning in conjunction with our goals for the future.

Not long ago The tims were saying there is no such thing as the old firm anymore so why are they complaining about lack of tickets at ibrox. Remember we sold out all through the journey back to the top division, so I say give there allocation to the " big flags" 800 and not one more for they manky bassas.??

Typical scum reaction to losing one of there plants in the corrupt spfl. No issue with what this prick from the SFA is saying but noted there is nothing new in it. If this is the best they can come up with when challenged by our board then let's just keep up the pressure on them. Well done one nil to the The Rangers board I would suggest.

Have to say the board played a blinder with this and hopefully it's a sign of the way we do business with these scumbags in the future. Have to think there is a lot more to do before we drain the swamp of these haters.

But not in the near future. Is there any rangers supporter or independent investor out there who wants to become an overnight superhero to a massive fan base. Where are the Rangers men ( I personally don't believe they exist) with plenty cash to help us. If none then I would be happy with Chinese or Russian businessmen and we must try to get the investment in quickly or we will die very slowly over the next five years. If this cannot be achieved then I would like any ideas as to how we quickly cut the difference to enable us to return to our position as the top club in Scotland.

I wrote a post last week about King hurting yet. This man will run our club into nothing. We are a laughing stock and this will not stop whilst this board are in place. I said last week that King needs to sell to someone with deep pockets. If not this carcass of a team will represent us for a long time yet.

What board will we get. No one is interested and if they were the clowns profiting from our demise would quickly chase them away. I am no fan of Mike Ashley but he has the money to make changes if he chooses to do it. Repeat, no other person with money is interested, so it's King or possibly Ashley no one else.
