Its not like Parkhead or Pittodrie with the smell of the SPL. So if your sick of all that green and you like your football clean get out of there and be a BEAR.

I don't think this drama is over yet but is it not time to prepare for the alternatives just in case? I hear a lot of fans calling for away day boycotts but since we will not be playing the clubs who kicked us, shouldn't we be looking at better ways to hurt them while gathering our forces for the main battles ahead. Ally and CG have made a good start by praising the SFL clubs for maintaining "sporting integrity" while dealing while a problem not of their making. The Div.1 clubs have made it clear that they are not interested in falling into line with the SPL 1 or 2 model. They want a 42club solution. The "diddy" clubs want an equal say in the running of things. Well, since yesterday,we are now one of the diddy clubs. The SPL might want to have a premier league for the "elite" but it won't be much kop without the Rangers. If we play our cards right while starting our climb back, we can build a base of support from the small clubs and be able to outvote any SPL proposals for change.We would have the numerical voting strength and have the SPL clubs by the shorts. Then we can really take our revenge. The small clubs have shown they have no intention of rolling over for Regan and Doncaster. Instead of hurting the small clubs with boycotts, we should give our full backing to Div.3 and get them on our side. He who laughs last laughs best.

Some people need to try and sort out the difference from football fans and the population as a whole. ================================================================================================================================== Fair comment, but the hard facts remain. In the past few years I have consistently argued that we where being outflanked by Celtic and our future should lie in Europe. I have been rediculed more than once on here as being paranoid. It doesn't look like paranoia now. Over the past 9 or 10 years there has been a nasty smell coming out of Scotland, particularly football. I had commented in the past about the C of E Archbishops in their Christmas message saying that New Labour were morally corrupt. When Blair, Reid etc,. saw that the wheels were coming off, they got out of front line politics and went their separate ways. Celtic set out their plan to take over Scottish football and use that to grease their way into Europe. They made their contacts in UEFA and then fed the lie about Rangers sectarianism.Any time UEFA delegates gave Rangers a clean report ther was always a group/individual to force the case against us. We were getting the endless negative headlines. We were consistently demonised. And it worked. At the same time Celtic and their Media friends started a witchunt against any SPL/SFA officer whom Celtic wanted rid off. That worked too. The referees were next. The world looked on in amazement at the circus that Scotish football had become. But nobody done anything about it.Certain referees that Celtic did not approve off were hounded out of the game. And the Scottish public done nothing about it. Then the Commonwealth games opening ceremoney was moved from the capital (Edinburgh) with a 5star stadium (Murrayfield) and moved to Glasgow with TWO 5star stadiums. But they are going to refurbish Parkhead at Tax payers expence instead. And still the Scottish public said nothing. The Administrarors were first then the Referees and now Celtics only serious rivals (Rangers) have been hounded out of the game. Call me paranoid if you want, but I still believe that Reid/ Liewell have been working to an agenda all along. And the Scottish public haven't even been interested enough to care what was being done in their name. But "sporting integrity" has developed a bad smell and I dont think they have finished. They have achieved everything they started so you can expect the calls for the removal of titles to grow louder. And any attempt to fight back will be countered with cries of "victimhood". I hope I;m wrong but I doubt it.

The current buzz words in the SPL is "sporting integrity" If Scottish and world football morality and integrity standards are to be set by Sepp Blatter and Celtic FC then Houston, we have a problem.

Since Timothy has failed in his primary target of ensuring that we would not be in a position to challenge them for a few years, then my guess is that we can expect the howls for the removal of titles from our record to reach mega proportions now.

By now I imagine that most of us have lost the will ti live. Here's a little poem which won't solve the problem but might just lift the spirits. They then moved on to the SPL, at those not Celtic cloned. and replaced them with their chosen man whom Peter Lawwell owned. Now with Regan and with Lawwell and the evil Dr. Reid the unholy trio now prepared to install their deadly creed. We've never been defeated became their constant cry. the Referees have cheated us, to crush them we must try. endless was their wailing as they claimed they're always right, with death threats and with £1 coins their weapons in the fight. At last the Refs had had enough, now three of them are gone. The one that Celtic couldn't get the Cardinal soon leaned on. Now referees must ever fear the Celtic bigot hoard their families and their future hang on Peter Lawwells word. So now the darkness closes in,the Rangers on their knees surrounded by a howling mob whom we will not appease. They think the battles nearly ow'er they've plotted all the dangers. But better men than them have tried, and failed, to beat the Rangers. We've ever faced our darkest fears with courage, honour, faith. We've faced our foes and didn't yield to Kaiser, Pope or death. So think on this you rabid scum, with Ally our defender, We'll roar the Rangers battle hymn--- Fight on and No Surrender. .

Perhaps someone can refresh my memory here. Weren't D & P the appointment of White and didn't HMRC try to block their appointment? Like most on here, I don't know the legal and financial complexities but I am becoming concerned about the smell which is developing around this whole process. If D&P are Whites choice, then he must believe they will be best for his interests. Legally they must operate in the creditors interests and isn't White the main creditor? Perhaps liquidation has been Whites (D&P's) intent all along. In general, I have not been in favour of foreign owners but the fact is, our last two owners have been Scots, and look at the fu*k up we have become. I repeat, there is a bad smell growing about the whole thing and I am becoming seriously concerned for the future of our club.

Like most on here I don't know enough about any of the bidders to make an informed judgement. I have long campaigned on here that our future must lie in Europe. The SPL is dead and England will become a backwater eventually. Not soon but eventually. Which of the bidders gives us the best chance of escaping the SPL? My guess is the Germans or the Singapore group.

There is going to be a European Super league eventually. Nobody knows when but SDM gambled that it would be sooner. He was wrong but it will happen. Our future must lie in that direction. The SPL is a dead duck and will soon be deader still. Thats where the scum have been smarter than us. Dr. Reid has been using his political contacts to make friends in Europe. The OF are second rate clubs but Celtic are a second rate club with contacts. We're not. When ManU, Chelsea etc,. are invited to join the Eurosuper the English clubs will be clamouring for us to replace them but we will still be stuck in a second rate league. I hope that our rumoured American/Far east bidders are looking at us with that eventuality in mind.

Rangers are probably going through one of the most dangerouis periods in our history just now. We can blame no one but ourselves,or, more accurately,SDM. Its a horrible thought but, we could be looking at the end of one of the worlds great sporting institutions. BUT:- While we have only SDM to blame how much is our problem being orchestrated by sinister forces? Is there a bigger game with bigger stakes being played out here? Are we pawns in some body elses plans? Possibly the demonisation and attacks on Rangers is merely opportunism and there is no Mr. Big or SMERSH plotting our destruction. And yet,are there not too many incidents and events to be passed off as co-incidence or paranoia? FARE is a semi-secret organisation which claime to be neutral but which has an unhealthy (some would say obsessive)interest in Rangers. It can afford to send delegates to Rangers away games in Europe.It claims to have offices in London and Geneva, neither of which could be classed as low rental cities. Where does this funding come from? It has influence (political?)in high places such as the European Parliament. UEFA who have been known to act on FARES reports rather than their own monitor. The man in the street does not move in such rarefied circles. These are the realms of important and influential people. We tend to get angry with people like Phil McGobblegiver and Odious Creep because we see their words in print. But they have no influence in high places, they are merely the rabble rousers. Is it coincidence that the media witch hunt against Rangers began to gain force when certain morally corrupt (this is the description of the C of E Archbishops) politicians got out of front line politics and became football administrators? No one really believes, and I certainly would not claim, that Rangers are important enough to attract interest from the European Parliament, but some one, some where, is going to a lot of effort and expense to harm Rangers. Hands up who thinks this is just so Celtic can win the SPL. I doubt if Celtic are stupid enough to destroy the SPL just to harn Rangers, but some of the events of the past few years have surely put a nail in the SPL coffin. Not just financially but administratively as well. For all practical purposes, the SPL is dead. It just hasn't been buried yet. Ask yourself-- Who has most influence in Europe , Rangers or Celtic? Who has bullied the Scottish Parliament into passing anti-sectarian legislation? (their favourite whine) O.K. They are covered by the legislation as well,but Alex Salmond will need support for his referendum. Who will supply it? Unionist Rangers or Republican Celtic? Who has the best chance of getting the law altered? Salmond wants to split the union. Who is likely to help him? Salmond says he wants a Scottish Army. Will you still have a Rememberance Sunday? Who has most clout? Salmond might need some political favour. Is he willing to accept Apartheid schools to get them? These are just random thoughts and might well be a load of b**ls. But I repeat, some one in going to a lot off effort to harm Rangers. I doubt if the SPL is that important.

As has been pointed out before, there are plenty of the wrong type on both sides.There is little to choose between supporters. Where there is a noticeable difference though, is at the next level up---- The club officials namely, players, managers, directors etc,. I don't know Ally's or Walter Smiths personal opinion of Celtic in private. In public, though, they follow the "Professional courtesy" code. How many times have we heard Celtic players/officials bad mouthing Rangers as a club? How many times has Dr. Death or Liewell engaged in attacks on Rangers or cracked "jokes" at Rangers expense during the Celtic AGM? They are fully entitled to hate us if they wish,but when their bigotry and hatred overides common courtesy, then you see just how bitter and hate filled they really are. Like the Sinn Fein Lord Mayor of Belfast when he refused to award the Duke of Edinburgh's award to a fifteen year old girl because she is an Army cadet,like Liewells remark about Rangers getting an offer for Jelavic from "another Galaxy". People in senior positions such as his are expected to behave in a more dignified fashion. When vindictive and poisonous cracks are their first and only response then you can see who the real bigots are. If I am to be demonised as a sectarian bigot by them, then I can live with that-- there are worse things to be.

Not sure if this is the write place for this but has anyone ever bought anything from Rangers DVD over the internet? I ordered the Walter Smith dvd 3 weeks ago. I have received an e-mail confirming the order and the money has been taken out of my account but no dvd has arrived after 15 working days. I have sent them 3 e-mails and they have all been ignored. Is this normal for these people? They say they will let you know if the item is out of stock but I have no contact whatsoever. The advert says delivery in 2 to 5 working days. I am now on my 15th. working day. Are these people always so inefficient?

The pink and green could be bought in Belfast on a Saturday night about 9pm after the last flight got in from Glasgow. I rememberr one of the papers had a supporters write in spot called "Off wie yer heid" I can.t remember the names of the two guys who ran it but if your letter was printed the two guys discussed your point of view and either allowed you to "keep the heid" or "off wie yer heid" if they didn,t like your comments.

As far as I can remember,Billy Stevenson did not emmigrate to Oz. I think he was having marraige problems and walked out on Rangers and ran off to Oz. He was in danger of being banned from football all together if he had stayed away, but I think Shanks and Symon came to an agreement about the lad. If he came back to Rangers they agreed to transfer him to Pool. That way Symon and Shanks saved a great talent from being lost to the game. I wouldn,t put money on this story but I believe it to be the truth. I remember him taking a free kick in the Scottish Cup final against Killie and he dropped the ball right on Jimmy Millars head for Rangers second goal. Millar scored both Gers goals that day and it was my fist Cup final in 1959/60 season.

Scottish football might recover but I doubt it. The problems in the game are too deep rooted and even if policies were put in hand immediattely it would take a generation to have any real effect. One suggestion I have always favoured is ----- No competitive football for kids below 12 yrs. old. All clubs to agree a strategy to instill only skills and techniquics in young kids and only arrange friendlies with each other before 12 yrs. Once the basics have been mastered only then should kids start playing competition football. When we can see a generation of kids with the techniquies which most European players display then we might begin to see a change in how we play the game. This is a long term solution and I doubt if SPL clubs can break the habits of self interest enough to apply it. Another and more immediatte problem is the 2nd. class reputation the SPL has. This is not just ability wise but also administration. The world must have looked on in amazement at the antics of the past few years (Re:- sectarianism) to wonder what sort of country Scotland is. The world must be split into 2 camps :- Those who believe Corinthians of Parkheads paranoia and those who don"t but are amazed that the SPL take no action against them. Either way Scottish football doesn"t look too healthy. Taking this in conjunction with the poor quality of football then it is no surprise that no top class player will come here. Even with more money this problem will not go away. A number of professional studies and conclusions have agreed that Sectarianism in Glasgow is largely a myth. Everyone has heard about it but no one actually experiences it. No doubt the problem does exist but at a much lower level that would be imagined from the feeding frenzy in the media. And all this is at the behest of one club who have raised victimhood to an art form. To return to my original point about a national strategy for kids football, if one of Scotlands major clubs is unable to even accept the concept of being Scottish in the first place then any strategy to put Scottish fottball first is a non-starter.

Like everyone else I don,t know the finer details of this saga. All I have read are newspaper reports with Ally saying we are interested but never any confirmation from the club/Smith. Houston telling us Rangers have made bids (he thinks) but no follow up. The main people concerned(Goodwillie himself and Gordon Smith) as far as I know have made no official comment or interviews. Nothing but media reports/speculation etc,. Rangers themselves could have had Goodwillie last week if they had really wanted him but they didn,t push the boat out. Why? I am starting to suspect that through private talks with Goodwillie, Rangers expect him to reject Blackburn and throw the ball into DU,s court. Or alternatively, Rangers were never going to sign him but were happy to feed the media speculation and keep the spotlight on Goodwillie while they went about getting their real targets quietly. I don,t see any other alternative. Certainly Rangers methods up until now have been strange to say the least. A last word on Goodwillie. He is a good player but nothing more. It is clear that the only clubs interested in him are mid-table EPL and Championship teams. While Houstons comments about stabbings etc,. were ludicrous, it has to be said that Goodwillie, like Riordan, has a reputation for his off the field activities. Is this really the sort of man we want at Ibrox?
