We just don't seem to have the same balance going forward at one point we had three midfielders and a defender near the touchline playing tippy tappy with the ball. We need to be more direct but more worrying for me is the manager thought we played well. I thought we were slow and one paced with us giving the ball away a lot or playing the ball side to side and very wasteful in front of goal and it was boring to watch a lot of the time. Happy with the win but we need big improvements throughout the team if we are to be successful this season.

My missus eventually got £10 refund for this month and we only pay £6 a month just so we can watch the gers in the qualifiers. So keep trying bears for a refund the cunts owe you for that shambles.

Looking at the squad it is stronger than last season but I think we still lack quality in certain positions especially if and when injuries and suspensions kick in.

We dropped too many needless points last season we were poor in both the cup games against the sheep. Ok I admit we went on a good run of form when the pressure was off. But I am not so sure we have added as much quality to the squad as was needed for this season I hope we have only time will tell. I would feel better with Kent and another striker and a left back if barasic is not up to the job.

I dont mean to be pessimistic and I have been happy so far I just worry that we have not added the quality throughout the squad that I think most of us spoke about at the end of last season and this one. Maybe it's just years of being spoiled by past Rangers teams but looking at the team the way it stands just now I think we are a bit light on real quality Just my opinion.

I was meaning if tav is sold and now that there is supposedly more than one pl team looking at him it's a distinct possibility.

I would say we are a right and left back and a quality left winger (Kent maybe) and another quality striker short of challenging on all fronts. And when I say striker I mean a big physical type player so we can mix it up a bit and therefore we will not be so predictable game to game.

Spot on mate I just don't get all the optimism.

As i said in an earlier post I am happy with the win and the clean sheet but I still found it a hard watch at times. I was bored watching it at times and it certainly wasn't the dynamic performance that the manager keeps on talking about. I know it's early days so will just wait and see how we are once the team fully gells.

I don't want to put a downer on things but before the window opened everyone was saying we needed more quality throughout the team and I agreed.but im just not sure we have added the quality throughout the squad that is needed to be successful on all fronts.

My problem is we were promised a step up in quality throughout the squad. now I'm not saying we don't have better players than we did last season so far it looks like we do. but who can say how much better they are until we see them against better teams than we have so far. Time will tell here's hoping they all go onto having a very successful season.
