I think regardless of who comes in this is going to be a transitional season, I dont expect us to splash big cash in the January window so the next six months offers a good opportunity for sink or swim in relation to some of the top rated youth.

Sad it didnt work out however with some of the results this season (and last) his position was untenable. His language and body language was not befitting of a Rangers manager, never seen a Rangers manager come out before matches and basically admit defeat- hopefully we are careful with the next appointment and we appoint a strong manager who has the ability to raise performance levels from the current crop of shite.

No chance both go imo. If anyone is losing their job it will be GVB and his backroom team. Wilson isnt blameless, far from it, but its not Wilsons job to get players playing to the basic standard of a professional footballer. I mean in Scotland the very basics you need is to make sure your team match the opponents in desire and GVB has even sapped that from this lot.

This waiting and constantly refreshing is more exciting than watching us play these days. Something has to give surely, imagine how deflated we are going to be if this rolls on into tomorrow or knowing our board next week. If he was staying I would have expected some kind of statement of support by now - especially since papers now have live feeds covering it.

I'd be tempted to put him and his staff on gardening leave unless they agree to a cut price deal. He obviously wont be in high demand because he is a wet wipe but some of the coaches have decent reps (not that you would tell from the dross we play). Might well end up costing us less if they end up resigning to explore other options.

I agree we are in such a state on and off the park. That is why next appointment has to be the right one and one made with a view on the long term. Could well still mean a disappointing season but if a new manager comes in and has a clear vision and identity for the players on the park I think that in itself would be a massive start. The problem with sticking with GVB is he has had a year and we have went backwards with no indication he knows what to do to turn it around. Our football is absolutely atrocious and we are the laughing stock of Europe I mean who saw that coming when he was appointed (apart from the Feyenoord fans and dutch press)

Lowry will never get 7 or 8 games under gvb. Only his wee favourites get that. King would have been bombed out too if he wasn't the only fit cb in the squad currently. He is young and makes mistakes he will learn but he needs the games to learn. What's unfortunate is noone is playing well enough to help him and it feels like individuals are playing and looking out for themselves only.
