  1. I was at the final in Manchester and my view is that our tactics contributed to our demise. It looked like our players were trying not to attack. We were hardly crossing the half way line much of the time. I would far rather the team had gone out and given it a go. They seemed to be trying to contain the Ruskies & hoping for penalties. Whether there was any cheating to get to the final they won against us by playing football. I much preferred my only other European final which I attended in Barcelona in 1972. Great day out (as was Manchester) and a superb result.
  2. It's a bad idea and we have not won the cup yet. Can you imagine all the negativity we would get? We just want to get out, play, hopefully win and have a party. We don't want any hassle. We do our talking on the pitch.
  3. He is 33 and a bit of a nutter. Surely not coming to Rangers.
  4. why all the green seats? do they not have supporters other than on cup final day.
  5. what he means is he only has diet Irn Bru. (as a wee kid I used to sneak a sip of Irn Bru out my Dad's bottle. It burned my mouth back then)
  6. No point discussing until it's a reality. All notional until we overcome hibs who by then will know they are in the Championship for at least another year.
  7. I thought I wanted them to win but as the game went on I really did not want them to do well. Now I expect Raith to finish them off on Saturday.
  8. I remember all these teams claiming that their loyal fans would step up and buy ST's. It never happened and Dundee, Hibs and all the rest have suffered. It must have seemed like a great joke to vote us down but they soon realised what life is like without the blue pound.
  9. the main thing is for them to play as many games as possible, get injured and knackered and lose the playoff final so they stay down.
  10. promotion and the scottish cup, counts as a double in my mind. I hope they get neither. If they won promotion and the cup we would not be very happy.
  11. It's nowhere near our biggest Scottish Cup final. The importance is obviously Europe for us and stopping Hibs getting a possible double. I have been in Scottish Cup final crowds of over 100 thousand where you surged forward every time there was an incident. If you were behind a barrier the surge behind you nearly crushed you and if you were in front of the barrier you expected it to break. All that fun gone now we have all seated.
  12. Lots of hard football for Hibs in the next 3 weeks before we beat them at Hampden.
  13. If Nathan Oduwa's loan finishes at the end of the season he will be available to play against us. He would probably enjoy that.
  14. Its amazing how fast their end empties after the final missed penalty. Less than 30 seconds and they have half emptied the stadium.
  15. I thought it was made in Korea but it's just as barmy as Japanese TV (just back from 10 days out there on holiday). Great country, lovely people, safe, friendly & great food. Go to Japan, It's amazing. No earthquake comments allowed.
  16. Technically & financially winning the Scottish Cup is a bigger thing than beating the tic yesterday but most fans will look on our humbling of the hoops as a watershed. We are back and the journey is well and truly over. Now we just collect the prizes and get ready for next season.
  17. If anything we probably stopped Liewell from sacking him. He was probably going to heave him out and changed his mind when we started the chant. He is not a bad man but as septic manager he is fair game. I disagree with the OP.
  18. I have been trying over the past hour to get on to the website. At one time I was seeing current info but bot getting in to pages. Lately I'm seeing older stuff from before the match. I guess to many happy Bears are trying to get on to the club website so I will give it a miss for a few hours. By the way, We ARE the people. Mind the Gap cause we are way ahead.
  19. His man of the match bottle of champagne looked awfully wee. You deserve a Magnum (of Champagne not a lolly) Barrie !
  20. same applies to the 10,000 or so who decided to stop watching Rangers. They will all want back next season of course.
  21. there was also a photo of him standing at a bus stop with a big space between him on both sides as no-one wanted to stand by him. Those were the days when a footballer for the bus.
  22. I can remember how he warmed us up coming on as a sub back in the 3rd division. Even then he was a real entertainer.
  23. Superb from wee Barrie, and this is the man that Gordon Strachan would not include for Scotland friendlies.
