  1. Didnt have a ticket that day and was due to watch the game in the Crown Bar in Bellshill. Got down there and had one pint with the missus and my stomach was doing somersaults with dread/fear/excitement/anxiety/younameit. Ended up in bed with the missus and watched the game under the covers. Full time came and all of a sudden, i had a new lease of life. Hit the pubs and clubs in Coatbridge to rub it into the basturts and had the night of my life. When you think about it, That day Helicopter Sunday Win league by 1 goal day They have had nothing like that in recent times.
  2. "Haw snudge, have you got a spare bunnet for a datsun cherry?" Sorry...but surely someone will know what am talking about.....
  3. A guy on the radio summed it up perfect for me. He was saying his sister is a Falkirk fan and that the last game she was at, believe it or not, was the Final at Ibrox v Killie which must have been the early to mid 90's. She has been on the phone goading him because even although he and his 2 sons go to every home game and many of the Rangers away games, she will get a ticket no problem at all and he will struggle. Its a joke as far as im concerned. Falkirk should only get in the region of 8k to 10k and the rest(after the fat cats which i wont even start on) should be for the bears who go week in week out. As someone said earlier, they should have issued vouchers with every ticket purchased at the semi(incentive to then go and not have empty seats) and they get first shout. It then trips to the Season book holders and so on thereafter.

Listened again after your post Danny and it does sound like "want" rather than "win" I know you didnt accept the bet GCL but i will owe you one anyway.
  6. It's no hard to find them, just google it I did. And found squat. I'd have thought it would be all over the place on this of all places. I only heard the part Clyde played and it was most defo "if we dont win the title, i need to change clubs. Im here to win win win" Havent got a link to a clip mind you Still peddling you're lies.... Would you care to bet a pint on it ?
  7. Just read that Timmy might be withdrawing from the Reserve league next year. I thought there wasnt going to be a reserve league next year ? Anyone shed any light.

  9. Cannae get it working the now but im pretty sure the guy that said this was a member of the Whifflet Loyal(my old bus) at the time. He is defo one of the fans interviewed in the documentary.
  10. Broomfield the day McSwegan carried the McCoist cardbord cutout round the park and we had won the league 1989 ??. Standing at the fence next to the Section B and they all started to say shhhhhh for ages. We were all wondering wtf they were doing then 200/300 of them all turned to Gers fans, stuck their middle finger up and started singing "Smell yer maw, smell yer maw, smell yer maw" Was funny as fuk the way the orchestrated it.
  11. More made up pish about the knee and cuts. Have you got access to a picture or something. Are you the x-ray thingwaymajigger man at Murray Park. Studs were showing, so i concede it should be a foul, though it has been said Mendes were also showing before he pulled out. My point has always been that it wasnt as bad as many people made out and that he CLEARLY won the ball. End of, now away and annoy some other chunt.
  12. I am merely calling it as it is instead of adopting the head in the sand, everything is against us approach that many take. Everybody keeps going on about the studs in the knees. It was a thigh injury he suffered. Stop making pish up. If all else fails though, resort to Timmy accusations. Who called you a timmy, i certainly didn't........ You can excuse all the guys you want that kick our players in the knee witht here studs showing, if you're happy with that happening as i said each to there own.... Well what else could i take from "why you want to do that is your own business but I am sure it’s fairly obvious to most of us" As for the kick in the knee. Pedro has a Thigh injury. Where are you getting this shitty stud in the knees nonsense from ? Basic anatomy is obviously a serious problem for you...... anyway no studs up challenge is legal going for the ball or not...... Are you telling me that the knee is in fact the thigh ?

  14. Trophy room is fantastic at Ibrox. Done a few in my time, but Gers is by far the best, and thats firmly with the Blue Specs off.
  15. Despite there being a photograph on this thread that clearly shows Haining centimetres away from winning the ball with Mendes leg below his, you are still trying to convince yourself..... The thing to be thankful for is if failure le guen had of stayed we would have seen a lot more injuries like this as the surrender monkey would have had all his players pulling out of tackles. ! I met Bardsley in One Up the night after he got a 2 week ban for tackling in training....

  17. Im sure, even you, can tell the world of difference between Simpsons tackle on Durranty and Haining winning the ball on Saturday. Unless Mendes is really Uri Geller and made the ball travel backwards

  20. Thats my guess as well so its entirely possible that Mendes foot was higher than the picture. As ive maintained all along, Haining clearly took the whole ball and its been the follow through thats done the damage. Its the type of challenge i would want my Centre Halfs winning and the type of challenge Souness, Butcher, Roberts, Brown and Greig would have all won. I just feel there has been an over-reaction to the tackle due to the injury to Pedro.
  21. Are you not the guy who only yesterday was claiming that Haining battered Mendes knee first before winning the ball ? Is Mendes foot on the way down or the way up in the picture ?
  22. This picture backs up 100% what BD said. Both have their feet raised at similar heights. Pedro is pulling out of it and Haining is clearly winning the ball
  23. So at what level of height of foot is it ok for Pedro and not for the other guy
  24. Sole of the boot on Mendes knee.... Why is it the official reports say he has a thigh injury and how do we know it was the sole of the boot?
  25. They are keepin us guessing then because another Gers man says he's OK ! PS - Bazza be back ? Bet you a pint he isnt for the Jambos I'll take that bet, law of averages say I've got to get one ! Problem is though, you might owe me 8 by the time you win one
