  8. just pulled this from charlton's website, sounds like his trial is going well....good luck to him. 'Among the Addicks who caught the eye was triallist Salim Kerkar, and Powell admitted the midfielder had impressed in North London(friendly away to barnet). "We used him in two or three positions, and he looked comfortable in them all," he said. "He joined us out in Spain and has got stronger as time goes on. It's hard when you don't know anyone, but he can chat in French with Yann(Morgorant) and Ceddy [Evina], and I thought he impressed, so we'll see that happens.'
  9. the moment the midwife slapped my arse, and I heard my faither say 'theres another wee bluenose born, right hen i'll leave ye to it,i'm off to ibrox,be back aboot half six,wi a bunch o floowers' !!
  10. the OP is actually correct. In the sixties/ early seventies,it was indeed the home team that changed strips in the event of a clash of colours.I remember Rangers used to use an all white strip when Dundee came to Ibrox, and even the tims changed to an away strip when (Greenock) Morton were the visitors (blue/white hoops). My first ever game at Ibrox when I was four/five years old in 1960 The Rangers played in all white,Dundee played in all dark blue.
  11. fucking ridiculous.just cancelled my hotel room.glad I never had to pay up front. wonder what will happen to the game in le havre on the 12th now. after they gave us such a positive write up on their official site. sickened by the whole situation.

  16. I asked the very same the other day. this thread....Le Havre travel help
  17. cheers RFC. surely someone can arrange a coach that goes down to portsmouth for the late night sailing on the 11th,a fine day of bevvying in le havre, a night in a cheapie hotel (i am sure with le havre being a largish port, that there could be the 'gas cooker' option for those that want it!), then fery back over on the 13th to portsmouth, short ride to southampton for a day of relaxation before the st.marys festivities. some entrepreneurial genius could work out a decent package around £150-200 a head? worth a thought for the guys up there that run the buses all over europe.
  18. any buses arranged for le havre from scotland (that fancies doing a wee pick up on the M1 in derbyshire ? (worth a try loyal) I have looked at many options inc eurostar from london to paris (about £100 quid return- just over two hours travel) then train to le havre is about £30-40 return.( roughly 3 hours each way) ferry from portsmouth takes 8 hours(overnight sailing only, 23.30 dep) to le havre, approx £70 for car and four passengers. ferry dover to calais, then 2 and a half hour drive to le havre. foot passenger on dover/calais is only £12 return but there are no rail or bus links along the coast to le havre,so it would be thumbing it!! even thought about using my motor trade plates to hitch a lift, and hope to hit on a lorry that is going over to le havre, there must be some (cheap as fuck loyal!!!) surely some buses are going over ?
  19. google translate really does throw up some cracking interpretations sometimes. IN FAT ( in bold) and Kirk Broad football !!

The two teams that share this supremacy since 1888 in particular of the "Old Firm" ("Old Agreement"), nickname of the derby between the two clubs, one of the hottest in world football. But the rivalry between the two clubs goes beyond sport. The Rangers are indeed historically supported by the Protestant community of Glasgow, while Celtic, founded a little later, in 1887 by the Irish community in Glasgow, based at Parkhead (a neighborhood in the southeast of the city) is rather supported by Catholics and close to the Irish community. The "Light Blues" which made history The Rangers have been spent in their ranks many big names of European football beginning with the iconic Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson who carried the colors of Rangers from 1967 to 1969. Rangers in recent seasons After the season ends, the Rangers had to yield their seats to Scottish champions Celtic, a title they won in the previous three seasons (2009, 2010 and 2011).
