Not everything Mike touches turns to gold, he is rumoured to have lost 300 m investing in HBOS .....well even we cant lose as much as 300 m .....

Well Somers is already under investigation by AIM over the King/Ashley choice ...and this would be one reason.... Second reason being that Ashley had given an undertaking which the SFA clearly feel he has breached ...., Thirdly would you trust Ashley ?

Ashley will be taking us nowwhere as we speak AIM are already investigating the situation, once again at our club, and although i would welcome Llambias and investment from Ashley...... until such plans are on the table and how he wants us to progress and what funding he is prepared to give and what he wants in return I will remain sceptical ..... Now should Ashley offer to buy the club and offer market based sponsorship and funding and all he wishes is a return on the share price, with no dividend, i have no problem with that .... Anyone hoping that a billionaire is going to come along and philantropically plough millions into Rangers to make them a European outfit is kidding themselves on..... It will be done the hard way, difficult business decisions and the most important thing will be finding the right manager to build and importantly retain a team to fight on the European stage ,... As long as the EPL remains a success we will play second fiddle ....

The good old board that were shocked to hear of Ally's resignation, presumably they were hoping he would turn things round. Now on gardening leave to secure us promotion instead of finding a proven man they give us Kenny McD a man with a proven managerial record no doubt..... I wish kenny all the best and i hope he gets us promotion but hey ho another inspiring move from a wholly incompetent board .... must say damn popular at the agm weren't they ...??? As for calling Rangers fans taigs and slagging off Rangers legends ....words really fail me ....

Theidea that Rangers problems stem from Rangers fans is both fallacious and divisive ...... It is the board and incompetent football management that has led to this crisis. There are people on here complaining about fan division but at the same time sowing the seeds of it.

A vile creature who i would like the club one day when under proper corporate governance pursue for every penny he has earned for us. Quite simply, out of his depth, a fraud and a loathsome individual who belongs elsewhere.

I am sure there are many people in Scotland that would love to see us have 20 points deducted for So-called flouting of the rules. There are even more who would like to see the death of our club whatever the financial implications are... The idea that we should charge head first with MA the dye in the wool Rangers/Newcastle cockney supporter towards a precipice of unknown quantity is a foolhardy wish.....

Apart from Llambias who i think will do a good job balancing the books, i would like someone to provide me with verbal statements or proof that Ashley will plough in more money than he will take out of Rangers given the dodgy Sports Direct deal. Everytime Newcastle have a decent player he is sold despite 50,000 fans every week and massive amounts of tv money and epl exposure. This board current and past have wasted/stolen 70m from us ...apart from ally and the players where has it all gone ? Hearts are 12 points ahead in a solid financial state with a fraction of our resources.....the board is ultimately culpable of poor corporate governance if not worse ...It is a disgrace ffs ...as for blaming it on the fans etc that is beyond laughable ....20,000 fans could boycott and we would still be twice the size of Hearts .... If someone could give me evidence that Ashley would do it for us i would support but i am sorry this dual ownership is going to be a problem in the long run and who do you choose if you are Ashley ...the riches of the EPL ...30 m if relegated... or the SPL plus possible champions league exposure ..... So once UEFA denies us entry due to dual ownership are we just going to whinge about conspiracy or come to terms with reality that we knew what the rules are.

This is one of the biggest clubs in the world and we are being run from afar by a group of self-serving individuals, one a convicted VAT fraudster (and worse) people with no interest in the fans or the history of the club ....so much so they were even defeated in one of the motions by institutional investors.... As for some of the comments made about current and past players is unforgiveable ... a total lack of respect for basic decency for people that have given their all for this club.... I hope people get over the McCoist anger....McCoist will take his money rightly or wrongly ...whingeing about it will not change contract or employment law. The club gave him the contract is liable . As a club it is time we were more circumspect in contracts but also fulfilling our legal obligations.... It is time we got behind McD and hope to hell this works out... Probaby the only option as they could not afford to pay off McD and Durrant and bring new men in ....sad state of affairs and suggests Ashley will not be investing/bankrolling us with billions but slowly balancing the books playing a wait and see game.... Who knows Kenny may be the man ....he was highly rated when he first arrived.

Well i hope this works out but as i said earlier Ashley will not be looking for immediate returns ...just slashing budgets ....he works in mysterious ways in his businesses often taking stakes in rival firms and waiting .... I hope to hell this works out ... rather have seen someone with proven experience of promotion/relegation fights.... one thing is for sure we need to get behind him because a bad start and we might be struggling to finish second....

Don't see the point of giving our own players stick .... is it just me or is just going to make them more nervous and diffident the next time the ball comes to them .... The idea of giving young players stick is a joke as far as i am concerned...they need encouragement and support not a roasting from the stands .... Messi and Ronaldo play in another league and probably get paid 150-200 times as much as Aird.

Sensible post from Reformation Bear relating to Ashley asserting control ... the next few months will be important times for the club ...... Ashley already has a brand called Newcasle with EPL global coverage amd should he wish to promote Rangers as his preferred option (that is a big If) there will be barriers in the way..... His many investments are often piecemeal and in opponents camps lacking much sense.....nothing is predictable with MA and he most certainly will not be pumping millions in .... he will make Rangers as a business do that...so it will not be a quick fix or a bed of roses.... The manager or new manager will still be the most important appointment made as we cannot afford to miss out on promotion..... If Ashley does seize control i just hope he rids the boardroom of the undesireables that still linger there ..... He will not be giving money away that is for sure .......

My understanding there is a short-list already, of 10 McGill's bus drivers and Ashley is insisting on an 8 year zero-hours contract. From a financial viewpoint, the good news is its a minimum wage position ....

It is when it comes to 'expenses' .... it is these areas that need to be strictly audited and be wholly transparent ..... Remember shareholder or not, the club is the supporters and not anyone elses toy / scam / or jam sandwich ....

A lot of these problems result from a spineless press that refuse to hold him to account when interviewing him. If McCoist stays there is no way in this world we will be promoted....we are going backwards and will be fortunate to finish second if he stays. The press refuse to point this out to him ..... The idea that leaving a lame-duck manager is a good thing is farcical..... The board must act now and if they cannot afford the pay off put him on gardening leave and get a street fighter in to get us promoted. I am beginning to wonder if he actually intends to stay for a year rather than just saying it for contractual reasons.....
