  1. Scarves are oot the windae......................Enjoy fellow bears......xxxxxxxxx
  2. Get Clark and Daly upfront. Macleod, Law, temps and Shiels in mid. Faure, Mohsni, Jig and Wallace at the back. Job done..!!
  3. Well picked up Teddy.........I'll reserve my opinion till then. This season I'm 100% for Ally...
  4. I can read and listen. I do realise that. I'll give him this season. Always said I would.
  5. I'm behind Ally this season and don't really give a fuck what anyone else prints or says..
  6. Excellent post Quinty. Can never usually be arsed reading through monologue type threads but this un is a beauty.....
  7. Calling this title a hollow one is moronic even if it is just trolling journalism. It is a necessary victory. Not exciting anymore because it has been done so easily.
  8. ...............I doubt that somehow...........keep it up...
  9. Best thread on yesterday by a country mile. Cheers for posting..
  10. It's still been done and dusted for months. Can't get too excited about it. More concerned about the semi decider replay TBH.sp.
  11. More of a clincher than a decider. It was decided months ago.
  12. Can you be a little clearer with that line up Cushy. Who would be playing? Who would be left out?
  13. Would be interesting to see how a new manager and coaching staff would go about breaking teams down at this level with the players at their disposal. Have Aird crossing the ball into the box for the big men to get their heads on? Long balls up to Daly to lay off to Temps or Law? Temps, Shiels, Black and Macleod passing through the defence to play in the forwards? Or is Ally just not getting the best out of the players we have?
  14. 5 minute walk for me so have no excuse to leave early and never have. Even when I can't afford to go it's buzzing round our way....
  15. When it's buzzing you just get into it wherever you are. The broomloan beside the bouncy in recent times and the view from the Govan front is what I'd say. *Sp*
  16. Bit off topic and hazy in the memory, but can anyone remember when Rangers played a Rangers A team against a Rangers B team? Think it was during the Gazza time and seem to remember there was a decent crowd and that the so called B team won. Sure it was a pre season, maybe the season Gazza joined? Happy to be corrected on any points..
  17. Agree with Ally being an ideal person to have around to lift spirits and share experience. The management role requires a lot more not giving 2 fucks about what people think about you. However, I stand by my guns in supporting him in what he's done for us and supporting him back to the top flight to hand over the reins to the next Rangers manager. Himself and McCulloch are my 2 Rangers heroes over this period. Not an opinion shared by everyone I know.
  18. Read through this thread. Strikes me that if Ally was called by Walter or SDM at any time he would have done what he could. Obviously he has the coaching badges so was always interested in a football management role. Not breaking doors down to become striking coach for Eck is hardly the stuff for lynchings or turncoat accusations. If 1st Jan was called a liar unfairly for saying Ally refused a coaching role at Rangers I hope he feels justified by unearthing his evidence. Seems slightly ironic someone who doesn't rate Ally as a coach is so upset he turned down a coaching role though. Tell me if I'm missing the point 1st Jan 1994.
  19. Hell no, just liked your post.Am making a YouTube Rangers vid which I will share on RM soon though.
  20. To win big you have to be playing against big week in week out. That's why the big money men always want us in England. Surely it's obvious we are where we are.
  21. When you want an example of a young manager improving a team just look at MacInnes at Aberdeen. He has knocked them out of the main cup competition and eneded their unbeaten run in the league. Nice to see an Aberdeen team giving it their all in every game the way they always do against Rangers. He has them comfortably in second place in the league and has brought though some real talent along with the old pros. Thing is, you can't compare what Ally has done over the last 2 seasons to anything else. He started without a team after the walkaways. He had the couple of guys who stayed along with Temps and a handful of youngsters. I just don't get how people can think we were ever going to be playing wow football even in the third div.. Enter Septmber and the 'free transfers'. With Nicky Law and Mohsni coming in the standard of play was definitely raised. That's enough for me for the time being. Godfather often points out Ally's record pre admin. I'm not going to argue with that as I agree he isn't a top flight manager. The truth lies somewhere in between. He has got us where we need to be right now and IMO was and is still the best man for this job at the moment. Expecting free flowing entertaining football in these circumstances is naive IMO. We've tanked teams in leagues above us (Alloa in the cup), outplayed an SPL team before the free transfers (Motherwell), and are in a final, walking the league and looking good in the Scottish Cup. I'll give Ally his due under these circumstances.
