He probably felt he owed them for making him the most expensive kepper of all time, by some distance . A record that stood till this season. Wonder if his decision would have been the same had PSG, and the EPL been flinging money around the way they are now back then...?
Well as has been posted he put 20 million into a hometown factory to keep it alive so he does not seem a greedy bastard

Having criticised the bheasts for their persistent craving of praise from visiting players and fans, all that sad double scarf shite, it's a little disingenuous of us to do the same thing at the first opportunity.
Still, if it makes you feel all warm inside then who am I to question it?
for fucksake chill out

Not sure if anyone here going to attend the funeral or that but perhaps we could do a wee collection for flowers or even to a charity of his families choice. Didn't know him personally but been posting for years and he was a prominent poster for a long time. RIP ED

Apparently a factory in his hometown which had employed locals for generations was closing down as it was losing money for years,Buffon stepped in and bought it to protect the jobs ,he stated he knew he would not make money from it but it was important to the town.

I'd agree too, I can't think of many keepers who played for as long as he has and at the very top level winning all the trophies he won.
Would love him to win CL to end an incredible career

Good guy
Today the 40-year-old answered questions from fans on his Instagram story, and he was asked for the stadium which most excited him.
“There are a lot of them,” Buffon replied.
“Definitely Anfield, in Liverpool, that was one of the few stadiums - along with Rangers in Glasgow and Fenerbahce in Istanbul - where there was such commotion for the first 15-20 minutes that I had trouble concentrating.
A true legend of the game

Sorry to hear you missed your trip mate hope things are ok.
No problem mate ,my missus works at Queens University and she needed to cover for a bereaved colleague at very short notice,we have been compensated for our break and she has been given extra days off.To be fair I think we dodged a bullet because the weather is to be shite in Barcelona this week.We have decided to go to Tenerife(never been)in November for a week, hopefully some winter sun.
btw going to Adeje have you been?
