Given the current economic climate I doubt that scum will be able to offload anyone for the the type of money they are talking about.

I intend to watch this game tonight hoping that Livi get a break this time. Quite enjoyed Saturdays match watching scum struggle to get a point. The SNP have had a go at them today as have St Johnstone. Nothing but silence from the SFA and the SPFL. I am sure that other clubs are taking note.

I reckon that lieswell is safe for the moment. After all they need somebody to run the SFA and the SPFL for them. lemmon though could be gone by the end of the week particularly if they drop points at Livi on Wednesday. scum are in absolute freefall which is nice.

Agree with you in that a move to England will not happen. However I have a lot of sympathy for Brubear's stance. Anything to get us out of the clutches of the Scottish football authorities is going to get support. However we cannot afford to go without the Europe money and parachuting us into a realistic division (EPL) will never get support from the clubs already in that league.

Frankly at HT I was too disgusted to post anything. Had to turn to alcohol to numb the pain. But all's well that ends well.

I would start Hagi. On assists he is 2nd to Tav. Has that footballing brain to make a killing pass. Has no pace but can also hit a shot.

While last night was bitterly disappointing if we are crowned champions this season then nobody will care about yesterday. Saturday will be a test of the teams character. A convincing win and St Mirren will be seen as a bump in the road. Unfortunate but was always going to happen at some point. Get everything back on track v Motherwell and we can move on.

The more I think about it I just can't see C1872 attracting enough new members to raise the required cash. Too much dislike or distrust of them around. The idea of allowing people to contribute to the pot in return for shares is a more appealing one. Keep King's shares in the family so to speak. By all means make it part of any such deal that C1872 retain voting and proxy rights and have the right of first refusal should the buyer choose to sell. People will be much happier to part with their cash if they are getting something in return. Make it say a £500 minimum purchase. Combining the 2 routes of increased membership and one off contributions for shares is a more workable solution and increases the chances of hitting 13 million.

That is an excellent suggestion. If somebody puts a grand in the pot 1872 will give them a block of shares. Will make raising the cash much easier.

King always made it clear that once he had restored the club to normality he would sell his shares and recoup some of his investment. This move is not a shock. He is doing the right thing by offering them to fans first. 13 million is a frightening number but it breaks down to a tad over 4 million a year which does not sound so bad. It is our hands to achieve the magical 25% which means we can then veto any board proposal that we don't like. 2012 could never happen again. If enough Bears feel like me then we will get this done.

Completely agree. Dave could have sold his shares on the open market and got more money but he did the morally correct thing.

It's a lot of money to raise but Club1872 have 3 years to do so. I am very much in favour of this and after Xmas I shall have to look at increasing my monthly subscription. To those Dave King detractors and there were many........get lost.

Just read that Scotland lost again. Can't say that I am surprised. A neanderthal as manager and a collection of players that just ain't up to it. Thing is that Scotland used to produce quality players. Croatia (similar population) still does and almost won a world cup. It's because in the rest of the world they play the modern game and not the hammer throwing nonsense that is now Scottish football. Whole game in Scotland needs to be changed from top to bottom.

Glad to hear it is brutal. Not watching it but had a small bet on Slovakia at 3-1 but keeping an eye on the score.

Late 70's early 80's I went to all the games home and away. I will never be back. Don't even watch them on the TV. Just no interest at all. Never miss a Rangers game on RTV but won't watch any other Scottish football. Italian football I will occasionally watch. MLS and Toronto games I am up for as the standard is greatly improved and you will never see a 10 man defense. Bears back then were a huge part of the Scotland support but not any longer.

Find myself on both sides of this arguement. I can see the clubs point of view where those who over celebrated and did some minor damage ought to be held responsible. The clubs response to me is inappropriate and too strong. On the other hand those who risked the clubs good name have to get the message that behavior like that is deemed inappropriate. A bit of balance on both sides is called for.

Murphy will need game time but all our games are must win so at this point he cannot start. Would not be unhappy to see him come off the bench.

I have not read every post in the thread so others may have suggested options that I have not considered but if the idea is to have a Bears only section of the site (no timposters or lurkers) then I cannot think of another option.
