I’m always surprised by people being surprised that certain midfielders are getting stuck in or chasing back. it’s like I’ve got ability, I’m above all the donkey work. I’ve always had this belief it’s one of the basic jobs of a midfield footballer, regardless of their talent level. that’s not a dig at yourself by the way, or I hope you don’t take it as a dig, it just shows me how different people accept certain players mentality, or see certain players in the modern game.
