Just watched the last few mins of Brentford v city. different levels financially, but THERE ARE managers out there who can spot a player, and play a system. look at Toney. Tarriers didn’t want to pay an extra half mill or so him. much he worth now? 10’s of millions. brentford got him for peanuts. one kick off the line of a hat Rick at city. the players and managers are out there. Getting them to come here is the problem it appears.

Feels a bit like last year. yeah, they been winning games, but a few results recently have showed that it’s either last minute, or close to the end they pop up with something, or it’s been a tight score line to the end. Like last year, they’ll reuse the break. id imagine McGregor will be bak, and I worry they’ll start out flying early few games. last year, we were 4 ahead at this stage, and blew it. we are now 7 behind, can we really improve so much in 5 weeks? I hope so, but it’s crucial right after the WC. Always is, but this could get us going this season, or nail the coffin lid shut.

In Europe he was really good and focused. dortmund ch’s will testify to that!

A female friend of mine, is mum to jay Hogarth, and she regularly keeps us updated with his progress, (as well as her other son Nicky who is keeper at Falkirk) Jay was first choice keeper for the Rangers team in the lowland league last year, got a new contact, and sent out to alloa this season for development. he played beside king last season, and for a couple seasons before that. both are in the Scotland under 21 squad for the upcoming friendly v Iceland. Both Rangers players, one has been thrown in at the deep end, in the spotlight, the other hopefully learning the trade the way it should be, out on loan quietly. Hopefully young king comes good. I don’t know young Hogarth well, met him a few times growing up through his mum, but I wonder if he’d be coping great if he was having to play first team football for Rangers at this early stage, under the scrutiny and pressure the team is at the moment. i can think young king must be feeling something the same, although at least he is trying his best it looks. difficult scenario for the lad at present. WC break prob coming at a good time, for everybody.

Wish the World Cup was starting the morra. 😭

I’ve seen city down ti 10 men a few times, you’d honestly would never know it. I’ve never seen them outplayed when a man down. it’s ridiculous how they do it.

Think it’s cause the cnuts actually at times had a go, and prob should have at least scored a couple more goals. that combined with arguably an easier group makes them look more competitive not taking away our poor showing, but it’s mad to think ajax were top seeds, Liverpool second, Napoli 3rd, then us. They might, and I stress, might have got a result of sorts at their midden against ajax, but that’s it. id say we could have at least matched their efforts if we had their group.

Feel exactly the same. it’s in a very controversial place, making the fans wary, it’s a mad time of year, and so many top players injured before it. I know players can get injured anytime, but they usually are at the end of a season, and can have 2-3 weeks before it starts. I think they have a about a week this time? no doubt the stadiums will be great, but what a waste! 4 weeks then what happens? Are they all able to be dismantled and moved elsewhere? am sure once it kicks off it’ll be fine, just different. we are all used to summer time games, pubs have World Cup bunting etc, advertising games as such. now it’s dark nights and cold weather and I’d imagine most folk gearing towards Xmas rather than the football. hopefully I can get into it once it’s close/starts. be one of the usual suspects that wins it No doubt. like the CL, but every 4 year. never a surprise. by the time I saw the sweepstake in the pub, there was about 6 left. all the dogshit. thought Fuk that, would be just as quick flinging cash down on the floor. 😂

This time last year was playing against cooncil pub thugs. Incredible step up. not his fault he’s playing games in the CL, when he should be getting bloodied in slowly.

Not disagreeing with you, but there’s a reason he was a journeyman pro brfore coming here, and why a 19 yo back up got transferred after about 20 first team matches. I like him, always have. its basically circumstances since 2012 that he is here. he more than likely woukd t have got here if we were not where we were. think a lot of people thought Barry Ferguson was s good captain. he was never a captain, in my eyes,yet he’s remembered well here because he lifted a lot of trophies. very good player, not a captain though, imo of course.

Whoever sanctioned letting balogun go should be sacked. im not buying this we had soutttar pish. The manager was never going to play katic, hellander can’t be trusted fitness wise, as it turns out souttar as well. (Who’d have thought an injury prone player woukd get injured.) amateur hour all over the place.

We all get heavier, he’s now 30-31 I’d he not? when I saw the training pics he posted when he was meant to be on holiday when he was in Dubai, I thought, some dedication, but looks a lot more heavier muscle wise. I suppose it’s a fine line they trying to cross. Too heavy or too light.

Does our league shutdown during the WC? if it does, it gives them, as everybody a chance to get players fit again. I’ve no idea if we are shutting down Tbf.
