  1. Is it really just about his football ability? to me, he looks like a player that could cut it there no problem. If Sakala can cut it, I’m sure he can. a boy messaged me yesterday about this. he saying it, and I’m sure he’s quoting somebody else, it was to do with his supposed sexuality. not trying to be be controversial here, but if it’s absolutely nothing to do with that, and his ability is in question, I’d be surprised. he is a good player, I can’t see how some jobbers in that league could get the better of him that easily. To me, it must be something else, or the manager doesn’t want him, as I assume it’s not the manager choosing players over there.
  2. No. one day he will wake up and realise he blew it. I said this about 2 years ago, when he was just passing his best for us. The morelos in Europe against the likes of dortmund was about the pinnacle. everybody could see he was a talented player, especially managers, but his previous disciplinary record(although I honestly believe it looked worse than it was as I think he got a raw deal from refs a lot of the time) put potential clubs off. His demeanour on the field also left a lot to be desired. he honestly came across as not a team player. A player who couldn’t be trusted the last 12-18 month. Wanted to be up top himself. (Not a bad thing if you can run the line yourself) Looking uninterested, unfit, sulking at decisions, getting subbed, everybody sees that. on his day, a true asset, but other managers obviously see what we all see, and more probably, and decide that he cannot be trusted. it baffled me that he couldn’t realise by not putting it in for his team or his teammates, that he was actually damaging himself. His value and worth to a team, ours or anybody else’s diminished every week, and by that he was losing potential suitors for his services, and the finances to go with it. Was really sad to see him totally shut down, on us and more importantly for himself. He just could not see that the last 2 year would have presented the next 2 year, or lack of it, as it currently appears to have turned out.
  3. Looks like taking time last season to get him fully sorted out injury wise was the right choice.
  4. I switched over to see the score of them v wolves on their station a wee bit after our game had finished (yes, Firestick loyal here) and they had our game on that had just finished, it was the first half at the time, (I hadn’t realised the tarriers kicked off earlier than us.) Very surprising, as I can’t see us having their game on.
  5. Sad day. mind those days well. doesn’t seem like 34-35 year ago. Boys like Trevor Francis, Ray Wilkins and Andy Gray were coming to the club for a short spell. in thet days they were giants of the English game. As said earlier, the penalty against Aberdeen in the 87(iirc) cup final shoot out was total perfection. was bricking it in the Rangers end that day when I saw the run up. RIP sir. A great player, but seems a great man. huge loss for the game and more importantly his family.
  6. This is why people can’t take test cricket seriously. 3 days play out 5. Aussies retain the ashes because of it. it’s England’s own fault. they must have known weather would play a massive part, as it always does when it’s here. they fucked the first 2 tests, leaving them needing 3 wins out of 3 with no weather breaks. shame, as it would have been great in a 1 test shoot out.
  7. Defo looks the part, let’s hoping this season he doesn’t gets dropped into the team at one of the first opportunities to play against a player like Mo Salah like young King did last season!
  8. He’s Teflon like Sutton. he will pop up somewhere. these cunts just get handed a different branded microphone. jobs for the boys I’m afraid.
  9. A good point, and I’d agree with you if it was the same manager at the time. however it was under gio who signed Lawrence, and under Beale who signed Cantwell. who’s to say Beale wouldn’t have wanted Cantwell anyway? I’ve had a theory that Lawrence would have taken Kent’s place, as he was playing his side early in the season. We might have sold Kent last summer? All pie in the sky I suppose after Lawrence got injured. Kent’s value was high start of last season due to his showings in Europe. We will never know I suppose. I also don’t buy the argument Wilson ruled the roost on every transfer. Surely a manager has most of the say? Or he should have imo.
  10. Very fair point. 👍 however we have our own dross, but we don’t cash in like they do. They do it almost one player every 2 years. it was just an observation.
  11. It’s reported that They bought that frimpong for £300k, and sold him to Leverkusen for £11m. Now he’s getting touted around the £35m price. even if that’s off the mark, the report says the tarriers due a cut of the sale, if he goes. that mob certainly have the “player trading model” set up to a tee. Annoying how good they are it.
  12. City only have one song blue moon, spurs have something similar in one song iirc. Quite ironic, as I did a tour of the spurs stadium late 2019, and the guide said that they had employed U2’s long time sound engineer to help with acoustics when building it, to enhance the sound atmosphere. well, I suppose you actually need songs for that! 🤷🏼‍♂️😂
  13. 11 million for mctominey? ffs, Burnley are looking to buy man city’s under 21 keeper for 19 million. never even played for them I believe. no way mctominey is sold for less than 20 million.
  14. From my recollection, the tarriers absolutely adored that “bumble bee” strip. loads of them swanning about with it back in the day. Especially when you went on holiday.😡
  15. Is he injured? That’s right out the blue. He played a lot for thrn last season Side not, they still got that McCarthey on their books? he was on massive cash was he not?
  16. That dykes is defo getting better with every game. Always getting involved in the play and working hard. just needs a few more goals snd I’d think he’d get a bigger club
  17. Morelos”s next 5 year will, or should be his golden years. he may have blown himself out, as it appears he can’t get in shape anymore, or is too lazy to get in shape for a team that cannot afford to carry pasengers( like mentioned before, an Everton). You’d like to think he would be on some sort of self funded fast track fitness /weight regime, because nobody appears to be knocking on his door in his current physical shape. maybe managers are thinking: yeah, good player when at it, but he won’t or can’t get in shape, so thanks but no thanks. not comparing talents as such. Bud everybody could see Wayne Rooney was always a chunky guy, but was almost always in top top shape. That shows desire to make an effort. Look at Rooney now. must have put on 3-4 stone. Morelos, not in the same league, needs to show that same level of desire, or he’ll end up in the MLS or somewhere like that, when he should be at his peak. would not be surprised to see him turn up in Saudi, a retirement league.
  18. Tarriers probably letting their fans get used to the idea that he’s coming back, and not going tonto if he was just appointed from nowhere. One things for sure, doubt they’ll have to open their cesspit to welcome him this time.
  19. And find an actual CF who will score more goals than our captain. if that happens, I think we will be there. 92 points and out RB again is top scorer for us. He has to get help in this department from our front players.
  20. He must be getting used to being second or third choice for manager jobs.
  21. Once again our top scorer. I hope that is not the case next season. Ie, we have a CF that can score 25 goals for a change.
  22. Bar 72, place was bouncing. Opened up the doors a wee while after full time and we strolled out into the Govan stand. great seats and view.
  23. This offside rule is gonna see somebody seriously injured before long, because they let the play flow before flagging
  24. The kind of player you would love to have in your team. however, I’d love to see somebody cement him into next week. irs amazing how he’s got away with it all his career. Pepe mark2.
