  1. He didn’t manage Bournemouth - he managed Brentford and did a very good job of it.
  2. Yes - they will. Not sure how we got them in but the future looks bright for a change. I presume the Board has shown some money, which I didn’t expect but am grateful for...
  3. ‘lean’ ‘hungry’ young’ - he is made for us. A little bit of money, not a huge amount, and Board backing and we will be back. More optimistic than I’ve been for years.
  4. Superb appointments. Some funding for new young players - doesn’t have to be a fortune - and rework the youth and scouting structures, and this could be a great new chapter.
  5. Best news for ages. If the Board back him with funds to bring in some young talent from the English lower leagues and set up a decent scouting network this will be a big step to recovery.
  6. He was a complete dud as a manager - not his fault, he obviously wanted to be a success but was never cut out to be that. Many clubs have fallen short by employing legends as managers. The thing with Ally is that he had a very successful and lucrative media career which he gave up to manage us, so it’s a big ask for him to give up the contract he was signed up to, voluntarily, when he’s probably never going to get the same media opportunities again due to time elapsed. A terrible manager but the contract has to be honoured on both sides.
  7. I think Warburton and Weir would be exciting, a new start and direction with the benefit of a lot of the dead wood out. There’s never any guarantee of success but some of our previous managers have been guarantees of failure so this is a big step forward.
  8. I’m sure you’re right and I will be torn to pieces. I’m afraid I’ve just had enough with factions, boardrooms, and politics. And what has been going on on the pitch hasn’t exactly brought any relief.
  9. Who are VB? I don’t want or need them to ‘defend’ Rangers. I want a team out on the pitch that will win as that is what, historically, we are known to be quite good at. The day we can get these so-called fans groups to shut up, as on the whole they are a complete embarrassment, and let the team on the pitch do the talking, will be a major step back to recovery.
  10. We played badly and were defeated over two legs of a very winnable tie. It hurts like hell but that happens, that’s football. We’re not dead, we have a good chance with the right manager, players and investment of going up next year and making a better show than we would have with the manager and squad we had on Sunday. This whinging about foul play is embarassing - it’s all drama queening and we lost fair and square much as I hate that. And the current love affair for Moshni as ‘hard lad' is embarrassing also - we coach children not to react to aggression. He let his employers - Rangers - down badly.
  11. Not sure why OP posted this as it it probably isn’t the thing that’s most concerning Rangers fans today although everyone’s entitled to their view. But for those who are throwing ‘taig’ around he obviously isn’t, as one of them would not be starting a thread like this. Think about it.
  12. 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness' isn’t scriptural, just a Victorian thing on embroideries and tapestries. Many early Christians were not at all bothered about cleanliness as they considered it to be vanity and to modern eyes they would have appeared quite dirty. Muslims, like Jews, have rules about ritual cleanliness, i.e. ablutions before prayers and also about uncleanliness i.e. touching an unrelated female. All of which has nothing to do with Rangers. And Moshni behaved in a completely unprofessional way - there is no excuse, he let his employers - Rangers - down badly.
  13. We have been stuffed by Motherwell. By Motherwell. A team that could never aspire to anything more than a respectable defeat to us. I’m not surprised you can’t sleep. There are many to blame, the laughingly termed managers (one in particular) we’ve suffered from, the dross he bought in, the various Boards up to and including the present, the institutional bias against Rangers in Scotland, the media and the SFA/SPFL, and the factionalism amongst the fans driven by those looking for their own advantage. And oh yes the football is about the worst I’ve ever seen us play. If you have valium please pass them around because there’s a lot of us finding it difficult to get to sleep tonight.
  14. If you give me grief at work, when I am representing my employer, you’ll get a response which is very different to one outside work, when I’m representing myself. It’s professionalism and most know we have to abide by those standards. Even though on a human level on a day like today we can all make allowances to a certain extent.
  15. Last season - most of - we had a manager who couldn’t manage his way out of a paper bag. King can pull a lot of doubters, me included, back onside if we can get a decent manager with freedom and finance to build a new young and hungry team instead of journeymen plodders.
  16. I actually thought we were going to do this, must be completely insane. Thank God there’s booze.
  17. Could you imagine Manchester United, Real, Bayern, Barca, saying another year in a lower division - especially one they’d been put down to unfairly - would be good? Up and spend whatever’s needed to win, and put the lesser teams in their place would be their motto.
  18. Borrowing from cricket and the Aussie ‘demon bowler’ Fred Spofforth in even worse circumstances, 'Boys, this thing can be done’. And it was.
  19. I actually hate us playing in this corrupt bigoted utterly shameless and worthless set up. Even if this might work- for once - in our favour, it's like Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters Union. If there was one realistic way out.
  20. He's the player that - just might - get us promoted, because there aren't too many of our current squad that give me any hope. At the moment I would wrap him in cotton wool unless you know of better players we have hiding away?
  21. Vuckic could yet make himself a legend. Well here's hoping.
  22. If there is any team that is capable of throwing an advantageous position away, it is Hibs. I'm still confident of second, but the play-offs are going to be very hard work.
  23. Yes, with a half competent manager from the start of the season it would never have been in doubt.
